This is exactly what Peter obi is talking about and the apc said his mouth is smelling.

By next year, we wont be able to repay debts and Nigeria would be downgraded to junk status.

No more borrowing for us, foreign investments would dry up,massive inflation and e.t.c.

And add to that, Nigerians want to elect crooks to handle such precarious period in their lives.

SMH.

What will obi do? start borrowing again like his predecessors

Do you think they care about what Obi do or didn't do? It doesn't matter whether Obi borrow 20 trillion dollars and send Nigeria into hell as long as he is sentimentally their brother even if he didn't repair a single road in their state. just pure sentiment nothing else matter

Shebi, you want to elect Tinubu because he is Yoruba like you.

Don't worry, 8 yrs from 2023 is enough for you to learn the hard lessons of why that is a bad decision.

What will obi do?

He has already said what he will do.
The problem is tht you don't listen or your bigotry has deafened you.

Peter obi said we would all starve if we have to, but the wastes has to stop.

The first thing he would is to plug all leakages.
Excess wastes and corruption is the first thing to be removed.
Remove all unproductive pipeline sucking resources.

And then we can start diverting scarce resources to high impact sectors that can yield us dividends in the long run which we can build from.

Any future borrowings would be to support local investments and would be strategic, not anyhow or to pay salaries.

Are you talking about the same governor that is known to hardly borrow?

You are only doing yourself.

Nigerians support obi because he can do it.
His history is one of proper resource management.

Nigerians have left you behind in the cesspit of "our brother" politics.

That is for Tinubu supporters.

even if you remove subsidy and gift Nigeria 2billion dollars daily, we will still be broke because the issue on ground we haven't yet tackled. CORRUPTION. Corruption can only be tackled by strong systems backed by strong judiciaries.

As long as we continue to focus on individuals and not systems backed by strong laws, then anything you are suggesting will fail on arrival. That's my issue. We proffer solutions that further impoverish the people without holding government to account.

Taxes are currently being paid by the masses, where is it. What basic amenity can be ascribed to the "little" taxes we have paid. How can you go to.solution be to give more taxes when the one given has been embezzled. We must start with the government and thier policies or lack thereof. Government should not be given anything more till they are accountable for the little they have been given.

Subsidy has been deemed to be removed before, yet there was still subsidy, more money Will never solve the problem of a kleptomaniac, it will only further fuel his greed and licentiousness.

PS subsidy must continue even if it kills the nation, that is the only benefit Nigerians get from their failed government. Why aren't our refineries working, if they were working, why should local refining or crude be pegged at the dollar. Nobody wants to ask the real questions because they want to make illegal money.

Fighting corruption is something I emphasized in my original comment.

Plus if you want subsidy, then don't complain about any government taking loans...to fill the deficit that results in the budget.

Thought they were defending the borrowing all this while?

Please dear everyone, please forgive me for posting this but I have no choice because the mods ban my old username. Please sirs and ma's, my name is Faith, am a 26 years old single mom of 1. My son is just 2 years old. I used to be a hairdresser before my present predicament. In August of 2021 I fell very sick and was rush to the hospital by my neighbour. Doctor said that I will have to be admitted because by the time that they have prescribed several drugs for me, my hands and both of my legs has developed rashes and started to swell up. The swelling got worst and more severe as time went by, eventually leading to multiple skin ulcers. Preliminary results shows that I was diagnosed with blood infection. Am currently living with severe skin ulcers in my left arm, the palm of my hand, and both of my legs and feet. I've been suffering with this condition since then.
Am crying out because I need serious medical attention, I cannot afford to go to the hospital and am dying here due to lack of money. I regularly require resuscitation with anti biotics and regular blood transfusion at St David's Specialist hospital. I also urgently require Prolonged Sore Management with Vacuum Assisted Closure Device and skin graft to help regain my normal life again but unfortunately I can't treat myself because I don't have enough on me. Doctor said the procedure will require 1.3million Naira to give me my life back and so far I've been able to raise only 300 thousand with the help of my friends and some kind hearted well wishers who have taken pity for me in the past few months. Pleas sirs and ma's, am an orphan both my parents are late. I have been trying every possible best to raise the remainder to no avail. I don't have any property to sell again and I cannot work in this my condition pls I beg of you, I can't even look after my 2 years old son, that's why am pleading with any well meaning person pls, no matter how small pls, it will still go a long way to help me and save my life and that of my little boy pls. May God bless you all in Jesus name Amen

Unserious fellows! Rather than going after more loans, they are shouting to us what we already know.
Or you want to tell us you are too daft to learn that the best way to financial freedom is borrowing till you die.
You've got to dig a hole to cover another, please. So, quickly get on the market for more facilities for a saintly government of blood and terror.
