Abuja belongs to Nigerians!
Ditto Calabar, Kano and Onitsha!!
The difference between these cities and Lagos is that the people who originally inhabited these areas are not so emotionally unstable like you Tinupoo phlegms!

They know they're the original owners of the land and they're also aware that because they're part and parcel of Nigeria, other Nigerians living in their cities are part owners of these areas based on their citizenship as Nigerians! It's constitutional.

That's why you see the Emir of Kano having the ezendigbo in his cabinet! Dude feels do secured in his home! Even the Chinese have a representative in the Emirs council in Kano! The Emir wouldn't have done so if he was suffering from inferiority complex like you agbadorians.

You Tinupoo urchins are suffering from inferiority complex! You have a morbid fear of these ubiquitous igbos but you don't want to publicly own up to that. You all are always desperately politiking to get them run away and leave their beautiful mansions for you.
nice...You really schooled that Olodo!! They are wishing for a very soft landing to clinch and hold onto someone's mansion and reap where they never planned on sowing...

Someone should tell me why MC Oluomo should impose such levy on Keke operators in far away Anambra State.

Why is Oluomo behaving like this? Oluomo should behave himself o. How can he leave Lagos and go to Anambra to impose such levy?

Tax of 500 daily is too much. As a teacher I pay 250 monthly, 500 per day is too much for Keke riders

It is not. A trip by Keke at 100naira covers the tax. The rest is theirs.

The Govt harmonized the tax in such a way that no agbero can harass them after the 500 Naira payment.

Stop this nonsense lie, Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria rather it was the capital of Southern protectorate/Oil Rivers. It comprised most of today's SE and SS. When the British merged the region with Western and Lagos protectorate, Lagos became the capital for the entire South. In 1914, Northern and Southern regions were merged and Lagos was made capital for the entire Nigeria.

You people should stop this stupid lie and pick up history books to cure your ignorance.

I know in most major parks across the country, commercial operators have to pay a daily fee which is usually at least 500 naira.

If they paid 1k daily before, why does 15k in 30 days irk them so much?

Well, clearly they prefer the daily charge.

The state should revert to that or make it 500 naira daily or 12k monthly.

There you go, problem solved.

Soludo wants the money to gets to the government and this is why he made it monthly. Accountability is hard if they collect daily.

Monthly payment will favour both the government and transporters. The only issue is, transporters have to pay on days they don't work.

The average Nigerian hates the word "Tax", yet we demand a better flourishing society!

Instead of these complaints and protests, your leaders should meet with the government, dialogue and reach a proper fee!

There is no developed nation where working citizens dodge or escape taxation! None!
Will this huge tax exempt them from the ills of the society affecting their business like police extortions, hoodlum harassments, fake spare parts, bad roads, robberies and more?
If govt was working towards a better society it would have made sense to empower the govt financially but they are just after a quick substitute for dwindling allocations.

Rightly so! Because Lagos used to be the capital of the country and still is the financial capital of the country!
Built by the federal government with Niger Delta oil money, Lagos will continue to be everybodys property as long as Nigeria is one!
If you don't like that, get yourself a brand new republic!!

When govt is trying to help these people, they don't know probably due to illiteracy. The 1k a day they used to pay before amounted to 30k a month, but the govt has cut it by half to be paid at once, but they are still complaining. Well it should be reverted back to the 1k daily, if that's what makes them happy.

On paper or to the ears it seems like much. But if you reflect on it, it’s small. When Soludo came in, one of the first actions he took was to rid parks of touts. These riders pay between 2000-5000 to these touts daily. You can calculate the sum of that in a month. Those monies are not remitted to the state Government in most cases. This 15000/month is a fraction of the money the motorcycle riders pay to touts and if the government uses it properly can aid funding for road maintenance and development.
Ola4lead:
Na the government buy them the tricycle? Cos I don’t understand why they have to pay a whole 15,000 monthly.

Seems every leaders in Nigeria treading in the same path

Nigerians are just terrible people and I just laugh and ignore people who are unnecessarily optimistic about the future of this country. Soludo has eased the burden of the Ese commercial drivers by sending away motorpark touts that taxed them heavily without remitting to the state. Whereas these greedy tricyclists pay as much as 2000 - 5000 daily to touts before which would sum to 60000-150000 monthly before now, they are now allowing throwing protests at a government that reduced it to15000.

Let’s continue deceiving ourselves that we want development.

I agree with you.... its terrible....

it’s fine gnorance that’s doing them. The money is usually over 1k a day it’s between 2k to 5k depending on the riders movements.

I have said it over time, soludo looks confused and bereaved of ideas, ozigbo would have been a better choice going by the performance of the governor's debate.ozigbo dusted soludo, but since the people have chosen soludo before the debate,so the outcome will make little or no meaning.

Calabar has never been the Capital City of the Country called Nigeria before.
Nigeria came into existence on October 1st 1960, are you telling us that Calabar was Nigeria's capital as at then

Don't mislead yourself and others with twisted piece of skewed history.
Calabar was never Nigeria's capital at any point in time in Nigeria's history.

This is wickedness from the government's end. This is actually much. How much do they make daily?

Most of them do not even own the tricycles they drive. They have people the remit money to daily?

How does the government expect them to raise that amount?

This is why I don't follow the crowd or noise. It always ends up in disappointment and incompetency.

If govt does not reduce it they will pass on the cost to their passengers niyen.

Thought they said he is better than Peter Obi

Its funny how your likes twist logic back and forth to suit your agenda.

If Sanwo-Olu does this, the blame will be on Tinubu.
Meanwhile when Sanwo-Olu(or Fashola,Ambode) does something good it has nothing to do with Tinubu but 100% on their own brilliance.

Meanwhile, when Soludo does something you perceive to be bad, or IPOB keep rampaging Anambra state; you isolate him and say it has nothing to do with Obi as he is not the governor anymore.
However, it is all about Obi when any development in Anambra is mentioned.

In the same vein, "Tinubu forced Buhari on us" meanwhile Obi that was literally the running mate of Atiku and still frolics with IBB gets a free pass because "he cant make enemies of every corrupt politician" or "he is just playing politics".

The double standard and hypocrisy is alarming.
