I’ve been dating this girl for the past 6months now, her family knows me well, though it only once I’ve paid them a visit, and all through those period, never did I raise my hands on her, though she can be very stubborn sometimes, she always get angry gives me attitude whenever we having a minor issue, few days ago she visited my place and we had good time together, it getting late and I instructed her she should start going home considering where she lives can be very lonely and dangerous through the nite, she refuse and started trying to play some love play with me, I refuse her advances and started getting up to escort her home, she still cling to me, during those moments we were struggling I mistakenly hit her lightly, she was mad with me and angrily picked up her bag and left my place without even waiting to for me to escort her, I ran after her trying to plead with her that I didn’t meant to hit her, she ignore me completely and left, I called her countless times to apologize but she didn’t pick, I made up my mind to let her be now, i didn’t call her for a day, only for her to call me the next day and started asking me what my plans for her and saying she’s not sure if I rily love her, I was kinda sad she could be saying such things, I always treat you like a guy should treat a fiancé, I felt like scolding her a little by letting her know she’s being too dramatic lately and she shouldn’t let minor issue come between us, as our conversation was going on I never knew she put the call on Speaker and all I was saying was being heard by her Aunt and other siblings, one of them took the phone from her and started raining insults upon insults on me, telling me I’m a woman beater and she’s lost total respect for me and I should stay away from their sister, i tried explaining what happen to her elder sister she didn’t even allow me to speak, I kinda felt sad that she place our private conversation on a speaker, I’ve sent her an apology text, but still having double doubts if I should continue with the relationship knowing how her family sees me now, they sees me a rude and arrogant woman better, that’s what her elder sister called me  guys please I need your advice on how to go about this, I don’t know what else to do I wish that your gf is my sister i would have sent you to your early grave idiot, your gf and you are beating her , what if she become your wife you will kill her |

You are the cause of your own problem; why will you hit her, playfully or not it is not suppose to be so. I get it that you apologised to her countlessly for the action but it is a bad thing to do. Even as you told her to start going home as it was getting late and she felt reluctant of going home, you would have let her pass the night at your place. You have stained your reputation there and I believe that if you truly love her as you say, you will continue the relationship promising not to repeat such again. I believe that with time if they see that you didn't repeat same again, they will regard you again. |
