Greed; The Main Cause Of Nigeria Problems. by mckane1: 1:19pm On Sep 05, 2011 |
Greed is an excessive desire to possess wealth or goods with the intention to keep it for one's self. Greed is inappropriate expectation. However, greed is applied to a very excessive or rapacious desire and pursuit of wealth, status, and power. From the least in this country to the highest want to amass wealth at all cost. From the politicians to the corp member that steals his colleague's phone at the camp to the Igbo trader that cheat people of their money by selling them fake products as original. Over 140,000,000 Nigeria are denied power by a few greedy people that may not be up to a hundred. Millions of Nigerians are denied access to good water, road, health care, education, employment etc by a few greedy individuals that want to amass wealth at all cost. Before Nigeria can see the light of meaningful development we have to do away with greed. We need to re-orientate the entire Nigerian citizens on the need to be discipline and do away with greed. I can't imagine this country going forward if our future leads are still stealing 5,000 naira phones at the NYSC camp. terrible! We need the fear of God in this country, please let us all try in our various ways to preach to loved ones to have the fear of God in their hearts. God bless Nigeria |
