Why do some people keep claiming that Abia people voted for Ikpeazu twice?

Abia people never ever voted for Ikpeazu. He was massively voted against but they rigged him in at the last minute through violent threats by TA Orji and Co who forcefully invaded INEC to force him to be declared governor.

I thought this was common knowledge

Aba to PH expressway is a federal road, and its at the outskirt of the city. From owerrinta to Aba is in a better shape.

Anyway, enter inside Aba city and tell me a non-state-capital city in the whole country outside Lagos that is more developed than Aba.

I'll wait

PDP has destroyed Abia state with criminal impunity.

Any plan to rig tomorrow will fail since they won’t get much votes. LP is going to run away with the election

Not disputing this. But maybe they should channel that same energy in holding their leaders down East accountable.
You are so dumb and evil.
Tribalism have blinded you and I pray it remains permanent in ur life.
No tribe holds n curse its leaders in Nigeria than the Igbos.
We beat them abroad when they visit, una go still antagonize Igbos for beating their bad leaders abroad, if we use hash words on them, una go still say we don't respect our elders.
What do urchins like you want from Igbos?
Atleast we fought gallantly this year and retired many of the evil leaders in East even though some still rigged their way in, haven't it proven that Igbos doesn't worship bad leaders like you people?

Now aside Lagos which is so because it was formal capital of Nigeria for more than 30yrs, which other South West will u compare to Eastern states?
Oyo and Enugu?
Ekiti and Ebonyi?
Ondo and Imo?
Ogun and Abia?
And never forget that East rose from war torn region to rebuild this cities from scratch again after your ancestors refused Igbos from ceding because it's clear that Igbos doesn't need Nigeria to prosper unlike hypocrites like you that can't do without Igbos and still can't let Igbos stay in peace.
I wish bigots like you pai~nful excruciating dea~th.
Idio~ts.

All those places you mentioned are under construction the last time I visited. It's up to you to show those places. The only thing I know is despite PDP strangling hold on Abia, Aba is far better than anything you have in other regions in the country.

No non-state capital city in the whole country, outside Lagos, can compare Aba. Only Zaria comes close.

There are bad roads everywhere, but that does not mean Ikpeazu didn't work.
Abia problems were caused by Orji Uzor Kali and compounded by the slowpoke Theodore Orji followed by Ikpeazu.
However Alex Otti can not win the election. There is no Ukwa LA Ngwa with him. Governor and deputy from one place. No, he has failed before arrival.

Oh, I see. Where is he from? And where is his deputy from? You never can tell, anything can happen. The reign of PDP is over, and I wish not Orji Uzor's brother to happen to Abians. Alex just seems to be the best suited.

But again, a governor in Abia should just face Aba and take care of the death traps called road all over. I have never heard any good about aba and road.

This is how state governments in sensible countries work. But voters have to make it happen. If voters don't care then it isn't going to work.

Despite Jonathan's faults (and they are legion) he signed freedom of information legislation at the federal level. On the other hand, Lagos and several other states (East, West, North and South) have refused to pass similar laws - Fashola and other hypocrites have defended this deception for several years. How can any progress be made when the most basic accountability is lacking?

Anyway...if the people of Lagos believe transparency in government is unsuitable for them - then they deserve to be misgoverned.

It is up to voters to decide.

NOPE, this is NO sarcasm. How can you be VOTING for different politicians and getting the same result over and over? If you sit at home and don't vote, then that shows you have no confidence in the system and NONE of your crooked politicians would be voted into office. When that happens, the world would see that you're ready to leave the contraption called Nigeria. Do you remember Uche Ogbuagu who used to make jokes about how crooked the politicians are? What happened when he joined politics and became a House of Assembly member in Imo State? He became like the rest of them. So, just because you VOTE for a different politician does not mean that things would get better. It would not because the system is so corrupt that no matter who you elect if he's NOT corrupt before he gets into office, the system would corrupt him....that's Nigeria.

Since we are all going to die in the end - what's the point in living? Why not just end it all right now?

Since all food is broken down in the end - why should we bother to cook? Why not just take energy pills and vitamin pills and be done with it?

You get the idea?

Your proposal is nothing new. It has been practiced for years in Nigeria and it has failed. The biggest problem with it is that it will NEVER be practiced by everyone at the same time. For every ten people that sit at home, two will go out to vote and the ten abstainers will be bound by the choices of the two who actually went out to vote.

The process is broken. The system is corrupt. That we can all agree on. But you can only fix the system and the process through purposeful action - by voting in people whom you have instructed beforehand to change our laws, institutions and processes - and by holding them fully accountable.

Apathy simply isn't an option.

And you call the NONSENSE that's going on NOW democracy in action? Absolutely NOT! Let me remind you that optics are everything. If you have 100 million registered voters in a country and less than 10,000 came out to vote, it shows that people are NOT interested, especially where different segments of the country are agitating for breakup and separation. The problem you guys have is that you truly do NOT understand Nigeria. You keep hoping and believing that mere voting for a different candidate would change a system that the foundation is not viable. It would NEVER change regardless of who you vote in because the foundation is rotten and needs to be torn down and start from scratch. It's insanity to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Nigeria would NEVER work and you can conduct your fraudulent election all you want and you would end up with the same result. Nigeria is a CURSE and would forever remain so. The only option you have is to break it up and start from the ground up. You can't put a new wine in an old sour bottle and expect to get the taste of a new wine...it does NOT happen!

The problem for you (and all of us, I should add) is that the will of the 10,000 prevails in the end. That is what has happened since the dawn of the 4th republic.

Yes, there is voter apathy.
Yes, there is separatist agitation in different parts of the country.
Biut have any of these problems nullified any of our election results? No they haven't. Elections take place (as they have since 1999) and the results are binding on all. The 10,000 effectively decide for 100 million. You may not like it but it is what it is.

The long term solution is for more people to be invested in the entire democratic process (and not just elections alone).

You haven't said anything new as such. Yes, we all know Nigeria's problems are of a deeply structural kind. We all agree on that. But what solution do you propose? Do you propose a referendum on the key issues? Do you propose a conference of ethnic nationalities? Do you propose yet another constitutional conference? If you do, how will you choose delegates to represent you at the discussion? Will you elect new delegates or your current elected lawmakers will represent you? Remember we have had constitutional conferences in the past? How did they go?

It is one thing to list Nigeria's many problems. It is quite another to have workable proposals on how to solve them. You say the foundation is rotten and needs to be torn down and rebuilt from scratch. Okay. How exactly do you propose this to be done?

I do NOT think you really understand what the problem of Nigeria is, because if you do, your question should not have arisen! The premise on which Nigeria is based (Constitution) is faulty and the Fulanis would die and go to HELL before they would agree to amend any part of the constitution that would favor everybody. The only solution is to disintegrate the country and let the different ethnic nationalities go their separate ways. Each group would then come up with their own Constitution that they would be proud to proclaim, "We the people......." That's a start.
