Nigerians buy the cheapest fuel in the world - Eniola Badmus defends Tinubu. She also expressed her undying love and support for Mr. President.

Eniola Badmus has stated that Nigerians buy fuel at the cheapest rate in the world. The popular actress shared her stance during an interview on media personality Daddy Freeze's Instagram live stream. In an attempt to defend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, she dragged social media users, calling them 'keypad warriors'.

In her words, "A lot of these keypad warriors do not even have an idea of what subsidy is. It was when they removed it that they knew what the government was doing. Even till now, I think we still buy the cheapest fuel in the world."

She went on state her reasons for her unwavering support for the President saying, "I believe him so much, I have seen what he has done and what he is still going to do. I've never seen a philanthropist as our current president."

Speaking rather passionately, Badmus stated her belief in his leadership capabilities and reinforced her support for him because he gives freely.

"Whether he knows you, whether he does not know you...if baba hear your problem, it's solved. We need a cheerful giver, someone that would have empathy for his people in his heart. we need someone that would understand us," she said.

Minimum wage in USA per month is currently about 1.2 million naira a month in July 2023.

Wheareas minimum wage in Nigeria is 30,000 naira per month.

Eniola I'm not surprised at you, I don't expect anything different.

Compare house rent in the USA to that in Nigeria, compare the various taxes u pay to that in Nigeria, compare medical bills, compare tuition fees for children too.

Ugly hippopotamus spewing trash. But sadly zombies and other morons will swallow that trash and ask for second helpings.

The bastardization of the naira and the complete destruction of Nigeria's refining capacity is what led to Abacha and his stooge buhari to come up with fuel subsidy which was in fact a way of subsidising their failure and incompetence.

I hate when these fools try to pretend that subsidy was about doing a huge favour for the ordinary Nigerian when it was actually the other way round.

Believe this nollywood slowpoke at your own peril.

He gives
He's a philanthropist
He solves my problem
He's a cheerful giver .......etc
It's always about what they've gotten or can get
These celebrities need to know that the seat of the president is not a seat for a father Christmas but for people who really have the interest to solve Nigeria's problems.
If father Christmas-ship was the biggest asset needed to be a good president, Abacha should be the best ever

Are you saying that house rent in Nigeria is cheap? Please stop that nonsense.

30K minimum wage whereas 3 bedroom flat on average is 1 million naira per annum outside the good areas in the cities. In the decent areas you pay anywhere from 8 million to 16 million as rent per annum.

The luck that we have is that the impact of high cost of housing is majorly felt in the big cities that has lot of out-of -state residents. Other wise most people across Nigeria live in their own or family houses.

Roughly all taxes and bills are like half of your income. You still have a very good half to save flex and invest.

You people should stop being wicked.

Why is there subsidy for import in the first place...because we have no working refineries.

The amount spent on subsidies per month is more than enough to build refineries.

You can lie to yourself and the people but the truth is already catching up with you and you and your masters will have no place to hid when the country grinds to a full halt soon.

That time there will be no where to run to as the people will start looking for politicians to physically deal with.

Make una continue.

Our Petroleum products ought to have been some of the cheapest in the country compared to others in the world. We have an irresponsible government handling the affairs of this country that is why we don't have a single and functional refinery working. Let's hope that we one day get a sympathetic leader who will address our challenges as a Nation.

Actually.

Fuel subsidies have been in place in Nigeria since the 1970s. It began with the government routinely selling petrol to Nigerians at below cost. But most Nigerians were unaware that this was being done.

Fuel subsidies became institutionalised in 1977, following the promulgation of the Price Control Act which made it illegal for some products (including petrol) to be sold above the regulated price. This law was introduced by the General Olusegun Obasanjo regime in order to cushion the effects of the global “Great Inflation” era of the 1970s, caused by a world-wide increase in energy prices.

You are busy showing off ignorance while forming intellectual.

Compare it to the UK, where when you are age 23 or over you can't be paid less than the national minimum living wage of £10.42 per hour, for a 23 year old who lives and works in Coventry, 60 hrs per week earning £652, after necessary deductions he should be going home with at least £500 weekly and that is about £2,000 monthly. He pays the rent for his room, £500(bills inclusive), monthly health insurance of about £90, food for £150, Monthly bus pass for unlimited bus travel within West Midlands that covers Coventry, Birmingham etc for £55, clothing, footwear and toiletries £300, phone subscription £25, hanging out £150......Oya, now compare him with a Nigerian graduate earning the minimum wage of N30,000 monthly.
