For correction purposes, there is a difference between undeveloped and underdeveloped. Every part of the world has at one time been undeveloped before. Africa is underdeveloped.

Undeveloped refers to no progress in terms of development in an area. For example, no infrastructure, basic amenities, and economic activity.

Underdevelopment, on the other hand, is used to describe a condition where progress has been made but remains insufficient in comparison to an expected level of development. Here, there is infrastructure and insufficient amenities. And then, Underdeveloped countries largely suffer low levels of industrialization, inadequate living standards, un(der) employment, etc.

Never seen electricity
Never seen portable water
Never seen internet
Never experienced formal education

Simple answer is corruption, poor education, no innovation, endless ethnic squabbles. Digging things from the ground and selling them is not a sustainable way to build wealth, especially if you are corrupt.

He could be another THOMAS SANKARA of Upper Volta !

Late Thomas Sankara was a young revolutionary leader of Boukina Faso but was assasinated by his trusted friend, Blaize Campaore.

I hope Ibrahim Traore will protect him against the evil machination and live long to bring progress and development to Boukina Faso.
