When it was One Hundred and something naira, we occupied Nigeria; when dollars was 199, we were told it's not okay.
Now? Since they are the ones in government, no matter the hardship, everywhere stew.

is very idiotic to tag dollar to the local currency regarding a country's economy. So let's "assume" petrol is $2 per litre in Nigeria
and $3 per litre in Ghana but $2 in Nigeria is #2,000 while $3 is 1000 cedi.
Wish is cheaper?
This same Naira was above dollar before and now far far devalued to the dollar, is that not crazy thinking ?
1$ to 1 naira, cheap? Yes but 1$ to 25 naira cheap , hmmm , it okay but $1 to 500 naira not to talk of 900 naira is worse.
In a nutshell, buying petrol above 200 per litre at the point is time is far away from affordable .

It all makes sense why the smuggling was favoring those countries....... They should have put measure in place first before subsidy removal ...... That lack of foresight is what is messing tinibu up now...... Remove the subsidy in stages would have been lot better.
