A dead RAT was found in one of the drums of the fake and uncertified malt drinks by NAFDAC and Edgal Imohimi, who was then the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and 5 arrests were made in Ikorodu... All the culprits were Ibos from the South East of Nigeria.

They were producing in open blue drums in unhygienic conditions and this is one of the reasons why there's been a spike in kidney failures from the use of harmful ingredients and coloring matter in fake drinks and drugs.

It's better to get these malt, wine, and stout drinks from accredited dealers, shopping malls and department stores, instead of the open markets to avoid buying poisonous, fake products.

NAFDAC is being insincere.
They allow lots of toxic dangerous chemicals, additives or ingredients in almost all processed food.

So don't think that they are raiding these drink manufacturers because they care about health of Nigerians.

This is about capturing these manufacturers who are evading tax.

Let's see this matter in the proper perspective.

The main accredited brands are allowed by NAFDAC to sell toxic unsafe products as long as they are paying taxes and paying bribes.

I came here to learn how to differentiate original from fake, not someone telling me to shine my eyes well and go for the expensive drinks..

An important thing to note are 1. The
body of the bottles for the fake products are scratched because of recycling. 2. The content will not be clear, in genuine drink one can nearly see through. 3 . The cork can also be of poor qualty 4. The usual pressure from genuine products when opened will be absent 5. Taste . Weldone NAFDAC but there were some carrying fake NAFDAC number.
