Dear nairalanders,am sharing this to get advice from you all that have had such experience.

I'm in my early thirties ,all my life I ve avoided going out with people or going to public functions because I simply don't like it. ( Probably because am an introvert) . Now am due for marriage and ready to settle down. But Kept on meeting ladies shorter than myself, ( I'm only 5.3ft) , though beautiful with good characters,but i really don't Want to have a child/Children as short as myself. To be honest I hate my height especially as I have tall friends.

I have tried several times to accept that it's possible for short parents to have children all taller than themselves but something keep telling me,what if they're all shorter than the parents.

At least I knw am not doing bad financially but seems I have been unlucky. What do you guys think I should do .

U probably have them tall recessive genes somewhere in your genetic makeup ......ontogensis will sort itself it and ur kids may end up being tall.... Nor worry urself...

Not all woman have nothing to offer,Most women re good and well brought up , the major issue is poverty . Some ladies have so much suffered in the Hand of Mr P , that's why they loss self control when they see a guy doing well financially. I have never thought of saying hello to a lady when I was in serious battle with Mr P.

You're 5'3 and short for a man, so of course it's short ladies like yourself that you're going to meet. You don't expect tall women to be interested in you, do you? As you're in your early 30s, you're not going to get any taller than that at your age, so accept your height and accept the short ladies you're meeting as well - in order to find one for marriage. Manage what you can get and be happy.

As for your kids being short, that might not be the case. The genes responsible for height are an interesting bunch and you and your wife might produce a kid or two kid as tall as Kevin Garnett. Height is a polygenic trait and with a complex inheritance pattern overall, meaning there're many genes responsible for an offspring's height and you never know what you'll get.
