True Life Story by Tosinville(m): 3:01pm On Nov 15, 2011
Morenikeji, a 42 year old woman
who comes from a wealthy
family got married to Dotun 12
years ago. But unfortunately the
marriage was childless. Apart
from coming from a wealthy
home, Morenikeji also has a very
good job, while Dotun is just a civil
servant. About 8 years ago,
Morenikeji decided to buy a land
and informed Dotun about it.
Dotun suggested that they
should buy the land in the name
of the child they hope to have
one day. They agreed on a name
and bought the land with the
name, and Morenikeji built a very
beautiful house on it. That was
how Dotun encouraged Morenikeji
to buy many other properties in
the name of the unborn child.
Dotun died in a car accident 2
weeks ago, and Morenikeji got the
shock of her life when a woman
came for the burial with 2
children that belongs to Dotun.
The first child is almost 9 years
old, and he bears the name Dotun
gave Morenikeji's unborn child.
The same name on all the
properties which Dotun
encouraged Morenikeji to buy.
Dotun's family are now trying to
claim all the properties from
Morenikeji. FRIENDS, PLEASE WHAT
SHOULD SHE DO This is a true
life Story.

Meen, that man na real smart man.

He was not smart.  He was simply evil.

I guess the woman may have recourse in law based on Sale of Goods.  The minors have to prove that they have a genuine title in the properties.  How did the properties become theirs?  Who paid for them?  Who wrote the cheques?  Who signed the agreements?  Who knew/introduced the sellers?  Who did the sellers sell to?

The fact that some property bears your name or the name you claim is yours does not make the property automatically yours if there is a contender to the same property.  Beyond the paper being presented, the underlying reasons/facts have to be investigated accordingly.

i'm ashamed! Many nairalanders are uneducated. Damn! Dis story is cooked up. Minors cant acquire landed properties, and besides who signed d documents? Pls take dis ur fake story some where else!
Re: True Life Story by freecocoa(f): 9:04pm On Nov 15, 2011
Jeez!boyloaf calm down,we all aren't uneducated please, the story said they bought the properties in the name of the kids, there could be a possibility that the man actually signed whatever needed to be signed.

What is there to be ashamed of? Aren't you aware that people do purchase items and properties in the names of minors? We are talking about what happens in practice and not the ideal.

This story again nawa o. allover the place, and its obviously a figment of a very creative novelist's imagination. smh undecided
Re: True Life Story by doctokwus: 11:47am On Nov 16, 2011
See why its a cooked up tale:late Dotun knew he had 2kids out of wedlock, but all d properties d wife bought according to d writer were bought only in one child's name.Again d over emphasis on pleading wt d reader to bliv dis tales by nland light is true gives it away.
Poster try again, but know thee that novel writing is a painstaking job of several mths work @least,sometimes years wt meticulous attention to details.
