How can any reasonable person compare Merteslacking with Terry? Mertesacking can't defend deep in the eighteen yard box, dwarfs can out jump him, he ducks away from shots he should be blocking, he is too sluggish and tactically deficient, and now age is ravaging him. Merteslacking can't make the bench of any top European club.

Merteslacking is only ok in the eyes of Wenger and delusional Arsenal fans.

He should not be even attending a press conference after that match needless of granting any interview whatsoever.

Well looking in depht, Some might want to quickly say Mert is bad an all that but for me, it was just one of those days when he really did have a very bad day at the officeand im not one to start using stats to judge players but he has been the most consistent centre back we have had in terms of performances for quite a while.

Arsene for all his managerial years really has to come into question especially in the way he tries to make players adapt to usnusual roles.

From a defensive players perspective, the third goal would likely never have occurred if a player whose sole trade is being a holding or defensive midfielder was still out there. I really cannot fault alex cause he came on and had quite an impact but truth be told, he is no midfielder, certainly not a holding one.

From the minute he lost the ball and it found its way to Jao's feet, i was looking at the run from cassaro or whatever the name was and Alex simply was not aware of that run. Any seasoned holding player would not switch off there or even be un-aware but like i said, the lad is a winger, so throwing him into that position certainly had its cons. Needless to say mert was too slow to cover the ground in intercepting or blocking the shot

Shame we have to see this happen time and time again and yep you gotta give it to Mou, I think AW really has no pressure on him and can sit comfortably amidst poor results which you really cannot see in any other top level club management in this era.
