Without any iota of bias or sentiments, the MVP of tonight's match is the young courageous referee, Michael Oliver...in the heat of old trafford and united's diving galore, he was firm with his decisions, without fear he dished and punished the legion of divers, if Angel DMaria's dive was forgivable, Januzaj should be suspended for such theatric..

You guys need to stop with this thierry henry comparison already. Thierry was great at monaco, scored 3 in the world cup @21 and eventually scored 26 in his first season with us. Welbeck will probably never score that much for us.

Congrats guys on last night's victory, it was a truly deserved and long over due victory. And it was especially nice it happened at old thrashford.

Interesting how peeps get at welbeck. From a player perspective, i personally do not think he is a lethal finisher or technically gifted but i would play alongside him all day giving his work ethic. I have seen theo , ox an welbeck play right side midfield and honestly if there is a game against any quality opposition with high attacking threat, welbeck would be my first choice for that position and somehow the Coaching staff have seemed to realise that as well. even though the lad still moan about playing through the middle.

Unfortunately he his not the dream striker we crave for, but i always applaud his effort, his pressing, his getting back to help the full backs and mostly the fact that he continually makes off the ball runs.(this for me is priceless) Agreed he may have bad days but on the balance of what we have and given the position's available and considering if the opposition is full of attacking threats, then i'd go with welbeck in my starting lineup either as leftside attack, right-side attack or main striker.

Again, some wonder why theo did not come on and ramsey came on instead, well i was more than happy to have ramsey on considering the situation and the opposition because we had two young inexperienced fullbacks whom need all the protection they can get from their wide men and theo is definitely not the man to do such job(surprisingly ozil put in a good defending shift when shoved to the left at the latter stages of the game) and thats where i think he needs to really get the balance of his game right.

As much as young and shaw were trying to get at belerin or chambers, ox actually did a brilliant job of getting back to help which in a way stemmed the attacks from that side.

All in all good performance and hopefully good consistency in the games to follow.
