A relationship without sex is so boring that one of the two parties actively searches for a sexual partner. Either the guy does it or the girl.
Nobody should deceive him/herself, there is nothing like a relationship without sex.
In the cases I tried the girl gave signs she needed it but due to naivety I didn't know how to respond. She got sex from someone else and immediately whatever bond I thought we shared got severed.
I now keep many options open when searching for a relationship, no sex after a given time period means I'm off to my next selection of a female mate.

Friendship is key for marriage.
