Like many have stated, building of a pedestrian bridge is so impractical and VERY EXPENSIVE. These steel bridge don't come cheap at all, so suggesting that govt builds a few of them is just massive waste. Government should focus on building traffic light systems, educating folks and in fact enforcing it. A traffic light with pedestrian crossing will further reduce the risk potential that may occur, this is more cost effective than building a several pedestrian bridge.

Why would you want to put traffic lights on an expressway? 

Pedestrian bridge accross a high way should not cost a fortune. Btw you don't have to use metals,
you can use concrete.

This sort of bidges are built everyday accross streets.

The distance is too long now. It is about 15 minutes walk. Considering the fact that you have Gbagada Phase 2, Atunrase Estate on both sides of the express. This particular spot is overdue for a pedestrian bridge.

A 15mins walk would be less than 2km

They can when there is a strong need for it. And there is a need for it here.

Its better to take precautions, than regret it later.
