Op, you want Eko Ile and Chino to kill themselves ?

Enugu, that's my home city. I would have preferred the redevelopment of Polo park to a modern park and  the mall developed at indepence layout near Presidential hotel or Okpara Square. We need to restore our open spaces.

presido1:

Ohakim was governor at the time, but the mall was not built by the govt but by a private company. I can't see how you can call a mall that is equiped with escalators and occupying such espance of land "lock up shops".

aladimma shopping mall owerri but really is not what we scream about is not a big deal, let not follow backward people like eko ile pls

look at 2.5billion naira shopping mall $20million and is private investment is not bad things like these supposed to spread all over Nigeria is cheaper that will help reduce open marker-ts and the rent can be affordable not like these south Africa ones, rent alone is too high,

Re: Polo Park - Enugu's First Mall Steps Out by toluxa1(m): 1:31pm On Dec 17, 2011
Lucozade Sport for N129? How do they make profit? I thought it was officially N150? This is really cool sha.

I see all these and a stream of sadness flows through me. Why? Cos of the over 70% of Nigerians that cannot have direct access to things like these becomes of  immense  corruption by our leaders. These thieves have ruined this country just to fill their own pockets. Nigeria should be a very prosperous Nation if not for this, where ,my grandma is the village can walk into malls like this, anywhere in the country and shop with smiles on her face.

May God help us. . . . . but I won't deceive you. . . . I don't see hope soon, maybe in the distant future though.

Where is the wheel or mall eye ride? It will be an added incentive for a family day out at the mall, especially for the kids.

A good mall is well lit. i.e. Bigger, Bolder and more stylish white lights sunk in but reflects in its corners, to complement those present at the ceiling.(semi-circle huge dome/half moon, as opposed to the small as seen above). They could be placed at semi circle locations all around the mall, as in the hall way pictures.

Are there escalators? We need more pics and am sure they are not finished yet becos the car park needs trees, plants and flowers. The park lanes need to be drawn out for motorist and street lights plus stylish out-door ground lights.

Incidentally, I am shopping at the mall now, checking out the shop of Swatch, man, things are costly here but original, will be trying Levi's and GAME stores in this mall next. Shoprite section is busier sha, the bread here is so fresh!

Na wash grin grin grin grin grin  Agege bread style erday!!! grin grin grin

The only thing that surprised me was the patronage. Hundreds of cars parking and leaving the extra large car park with huge purchases, come see Independence layout millionairs face to face, see rich wives from New haven and spoilt kids from Trans Ekulu trying desperately to outbuy each other. The line for payment is so long you may spend 10 mins waiting for your turn to pay. Na wao!! Enugu is moving up.

NA WASH grin grin grin grin grin grin

The mall looks nice

Anyway, Good for Enugu.

But, please tell your governor to get rid of those monkeys with AK47s. I won't be surprised if they start checking your shopping bags, saying "wetin you carry" and demanding to see the receipt for your groceries.
