Chief Sycophant  - How far Long time -  You have finally stuck a dagger in the heart of the masses .

Tell Ademumu  - to slow down on this mad policy.

Right step would  have been  - Get the refineries working and then remove subsidy.

what mad government shifts more burden on the masses -  Please dont tell us about subsidy  savings.  You and i Know that " More loot to share"  They are already spending 1 billion naira to eat 3 square meals for a year.

There is something fishy about the "subsidy gains." Since the government claimed they were borrowing to finance subsidy, where would the savings from the removal of subsidy emanate from?
May friend, we have asked this question before and the FG has not provided any answers!!, they claim they were borrowing to finance the subsidy, so where is the savings going to come from? They have not provided any appropriation for subsidy in 2012, so what are you saving when you have not budgeted for same

Never in the history of Nigeria has mischief assume the dimension it has now assumed not even in the days of the late dictator Gen. Sni Abacha  sad

Those who think NLC and Civil Societies and oraganized pressure groups are not going to do something better go get their house stocked with food stuffs. We Nigerians home and abrode MUST be prepared for a hard long struggle and must take this opportunity to place the FG where she belongs.

Government is suppose to work FOR the people and NOT against the people. If Nigerians say NO to your evil policy, then NO is NO, the people voice must be heard!

Evil has never excelled over good and Jonathan today represent the NOW evil in the LAND and He would never triumph!

Remember when NLC, TUC goes on strike, the little canddle light you get from PHCN will be blown off!

If you notice, NLC, TUC and ALL civil society groups (unlike in the past when they went about their civil struggle by putting weapons at war chest) have refrained from doing so this time around and have remained engaged in constructive dialogue. But the FG have made them all look silly and indeed made all Nigerians all look silly.

Go stuck your food stuff, the strike will be hard, long and bitter!

no amount of protest will reverse the subsidy.
It has been removed so we should try and live
with it. Nigerians should begin to understand
that what they say, or do on the streets doesn't
matter, can't change a thing, and will not
affect the decision made by the ruling class. Any street demonstrations because of subsidy
removal is PURE WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY

Nigerians arent fooled.

This is not about NLC or TUC, it is about utter discredit of the GEJ led government! She can never again be trusted by Nigerians until her demise! Even Senate and house of reps were taken by surprise by the move, meaning, GEJ and his cabal manuevered the various leadership of the nation state and that is what you call a DICTATOR I would not be surprise if the finance minister is not aware of this move as I have always said, she is a 'technical scape goat' for a dispotic regime led by GEJ!
Re: Fuel Subsidy Withdrawal: Nlc And Tuc Mobilizes For Street Demonstrations by mymadam(m): 11:59am On Jan 02, 2012
Fellow Nigerians, let no-one get his/her knickers in a twist. The subsidy removal thing has come to stay. Street protests or not, the best we can get out of this mess is a gradual removal as against total. Now, the major bad news is that the 'almighty Naira' is very likely to be substantially devalued soon, very soon! All these actions may be economically correct, but my grouse with Nigerian leaders is the timing of the whole charade. Well, fellow Nigerians, this is my honest advice to you all; If you have substantial amounts of money stashed away in a Nigerian bank (in Naira); (1) Quickly dash there NOW, open a domiciliary account, convert your Naira into US Dollars, and deposit it in your dorm account. Thereafter, simply wait for GEJ's next unpredictable move. (2) This in my opinion is the better option, if your bank account is substantial. Look around for genuine landed property (plot of land or building, but not a 'son-of-the-soil' one!). Once you see a good bargain, with C of O, etc, pay the developers by cheque and collect your documents. This could turn out to be the greatest investment you will ever make, as you will watch your money substantially grow, GEJ or any Nigerian political party notwithstanding. Did I hear you ask, " What if I am NOT a rich man/woman?". Well, I guess I'm in the same boat as you. Don't worry, we'll soon work something out for our humble selves. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE. God bless Nigeria.

FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL; FROM SOUR TO SWEET
www.goodlucknigeria.com.ng
Some Nigerians still needs to be properly informed on the good intentions of the Federal Government on the removal of the fuel subsidy. Nigeria gives one quarter of the yearly budget to few individuals who have subjected the country on perpetual importation of fuel so as to reduce the price.

This means that as long as the subsidy is given to them they cannot refine fuel in Nigeria. The so called fuel importers may chose to build refinery in another country such as Niger Republic near our boarder so as to collect the subsidy money from government when they import to Nigeria.

They have chosen to enslave the country in an endless fuel importation making it impossible for any investor to even think of building a refinery in Nigeria since such investor will not be given subsidy if he refines in Nigeria. Indirectly we are perpetually economically enslaved by these oil cabal who siphon our yearly budget on the pretence of fuel importation.

Now that the fuel subsidy is removed by Goodluck led government in Nigeria, there will be temporal hardship which those grieved cabal push Nigerians to by selling the fuel at open market price so as to make gain enough since we cannot produce at the interim. This administration is aware of this hardship and must urgently channel the money gotten from the subsidy removal to building refineries, sourcing for fuel by NNPC for domestic use in Nigeria, encourage private sectors to build refineries since importation cannot be subsidized any more, advice and empower governors to purchase government buses in joint venture with the private sector for good management since so many government owned transport schemes use to fail due to corruption.

The fuel subsidy removal is good news to Nigerians who hope on long term investment and infrastructural development in Nigeria instead of short term cheap fuel while we remain in perpetual importation of fuel with about half of our yearly budget which is tantamount to economic slavery for both yet unborn generations of Nigerians.

Caution should be taken by Nigerians to monitor the use of this huge money by government to ensure proper utilization in the nearest possible future so that the suffering of Nigerians will not last longer. Any body calling for mass action is being politically and socially misguided by ignorance or by political opponents of the present administration who capitalizes on any opportunity to run down the Goodluck led Government. I am not a politician, not a spokes person for the government but I believe in Nigeria and the transformation project of this government. HAPPY NEW YEAR, God bless Nigeria by CHUDI N. CHRIS
