Possibly set off as some sort of controlled explosion. First response should have been to cordon off and jam all telecommunication gadgets within a certain radius and then call in a bomb disposal unit. He potentially did not only put his life in danger but also the lives of others too.

Can't believe what i just saw. And his fellow policemen carried on as if nothing happened. They didn't even rush to the scene to see if he was still breathing or something. It is not as if there is any other bomb lying around.

This is annoying. He wanted to be a reckless hero. After discovering that the area was being avoided, he still bounced went there with only a metal detector device. After discovering the strange object , he still went ahead to fiddle with it In this day and age?

Good gracious God.How could this officer be this daft to doubt or think he could meddle with an IED as if its a banger.Did you see how he was blown into bits and pieces while those with heavy gear were standing at some distance probably betting if the bomb is real or not.
