I think the crash is as a result of poor maintenance cos the chopper looked haggard and i dont think it was maintained properly.
I just thank God it didnt fall on my crib and neither did it fall on any house.

pls dont be ignorant....the said helicopter was recently delivered and new to the nigerian police(not more than 8months old)....the said crash now confirmed could have been due to human error, evironmental and weather factors. and dont forget, no machine is 100% efficient.

It's a jarring tragedy, as all sudden misfortunes are, but it really isn't all that much of a surprise. Creaky joints, loose bolts and rusty parts can almost be seen as the chopper struggles overhead, usually just a few meters over the top floor of Abuja Hostel, making a noise like a locomotive engine. That bird had always looked unsafe to me. It's a sad thing that it led to the loss of lives.

Until his death, John Haruna was Commissioner of Police in charge of FCT. He aslo
served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Lagos State and Deputy Commissioner
of Police in charge Anambra State.

Haruna who was scheduled to retire in 2016 was promoted to the position of DIG last month.
