When next you go to FMC, insist that you want to see a paed and not just a general doc. from your answer, i can comfortably tell you that your baby is fine, she just need help on her motor skills. i think this is the time you need to devout much time to her during the day. although her weight at 13 months is poor and since she is not interested in taking the pap, you can give her the adult food she so much want. i do not know much about variety of adult food that can be given to a baby at that age. maybe mothers inhere could be of help in that area. ALSO DO NOT FORCE-FEED HER, it will affect her psychology when its time to eat always.

practice the sitting technique i gave u often, always place her on her tummy ( this will encourage/stimulate crawling and dont do this on a hard floor) and also get her a baby walker to assist her leg muscles to hasten standing standing-up and walking later on. you can also watch some physical therapy videos on you-tube. this will assist you on how to go about it.

In all, try to see a pead and NOT a general practitioner and most importantly devout more time for her to help with her motor skills.

regards

Thank you plenty, too add to d adult food ish,my son prefers it too.he takes cereal in little quantity. U can make normal rice nd beans den blend roughly ie not smooth also experiment with different combinations(carbs nd protein).don't worry dear all dis will turn to a tale soon.e-hugs.

For the dosage, i gave him 0.3-0.4ml. My mum gave him more though i wasnt comfortable with it.
3 times a day, once on some days depending on how it worries him. You need to use your mother instinct.
I also noticed his tummy pained him more when i take diary products. So i stopped that too. I guess it made it heal faster.
ok thanks very much.

Hello Mum, Dad and Doctor in here.
My One year three months old baby started vomiting three days ago, he vomited like five times dat day, we initially thought it's indigestion, we later put a call to my aunt that is a nurse and explained to her, she said it might be malaria or worm , so she suggested we buy coartem and a drug for deworming, which we did and give him, though the pharmacist prescribed we also give him amoxillin and a drug that will first stop the vomiting, we gave him all the drug as prescribed, though he is okay now and playing, still on the drug sha, but my concern is his stomach that is a little big, though he is not passing out excreta as he used to, could it be the side effects of the drugs given him? cos apart from not eating well and the stomach, every other things looks fine as he plays and run around the compound.

I started cleaning my baby's mouth around 3 months when I noticed that white ish on the tongue.

I switched to Macleans training tooth milk teeth around 7-8 months. The paste is from 0-6 years!

Mothers in the house I need you suggestions on the best soap and lotion for a new born baby girl! I have been using johnson liquid soap and AVEENO body lotion, but I think she's gettn darker and I don't like de way her skin looks, unlike her older sibling. Someone should recommend a good range of product for me.
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by omoerelu1: 8:30pm On Dec 04, 2014
@ Debbie, Sebamed or Aveeno. Used both for my baby. I don't think it is the product you are using. Your baby is just naturally dark skinned. Aveeno is recommended by paediatricians. And she might just be having skin issues or reacting to something. My baby's skin too was like that initially but every thing evened out later. It also depends on skin type. I know mothers that use shea butter and coconut oil for their babies and they have fair, smooth and radiant skins. When I tried that for my baby, she became darker but her skin was smoother and radiant.
And before I forget, I was told by several people not to use Johnson's products even before I gave birth. Reason being that they have so many fake and imitated products in the market. That is if you are buying in Nigeria. And I also heard a myth that Nigerian babies react to Johnson's products.
