Family / Re: Are You Married To An Older Lady...? by adefash(m): 5:42pm On May 07, 2013
I dated older ladies twice.d problem with the two of them was that they were both in a hurry to marry me.the more they pampered me the more irritated i became.eventually we broke up. One of them was begging me to marry her even when she knew i was married. Another thing is that they tend to pretend being happy with everything u do just because they dont want to lose u even when they are not really happy with what u are doing.

Pukkah: Wonders shall never end!

Civil Defence Corps 'disarmed' armed policemen? How? How many policemen were so disarmed? What are their names and ranks? Which station did they move from? Whose distress call were they responding to? What type of arms were collected from them?

Is it also not funny that no policeman died (none was even injured) but two Corps died? Does this make sense considering that the Corps were also armed?

Who first got to the crime scene? What did the Police do on getting there? Is it likely that the Defence Corps could have proceeded to disarm a supporting agency?

By the way, the Police are notorious for extra-judicial killings, human rights abuses, corruption and inefficieny. This ignoble image also does not help matters.

From all indications, the Police told a white lie. They've been highly unsuccessful in effectively policing the country and they are unsuccessful at this lie. Shame on them!
dont forget that civil defence just started real defence business too.police was not like this when they started.we should blame the government who doesnt give clear responsibilities to the two agencies. i wonder who to call if there is civil unrest in my neighbourhood.oga at the top or police.

what has ashawo gat to do with this?
@ op: you should ask yourself what problem you wish to solve by telling ur sister. will that stop the guy from atempting another move or make ur sister call d rellationship off? i am not sayin u shouldnt tell her neither am i sayong u should, but first define what u want to achieve from telling her.if u cant come up with something reasonable, the deal with it alone.
better still u can confide in ur mother.

good day folks.happy weekend to you all.please i am desirous to
know the origin of these words i here ppl use for their wards and
i adopted it without knowing who formulated them.
pupu: to defecate
wewe: to urinate
this is where my curiosity came from.i tried to figure out what
their past tenses and present continuous tenses will look like but
i wasnt too pleased with how they sounded.his made me go
online but i couldnt get any info on them.
i want to ask,are these words universally acceptable,before i
shoot myself in the leg outside this country or they are only used
as colloquial in nigeria.

Islam for Muslims / Re: We Are Losing Our Identity To The Arabs by adefash(m): 8:10am On Feb 06, 2013
maclatunji:

It is not a dogma, it is a legitimate question. Bamidele Bukola could be a Muslim, but the I wouldn't know until I ask him or see him practise Islam. However, if I see Idris Bamidele Bukola, I know at the very least, he has a Muslim background.

When someone starts answering questions solely with questions, I know it is time to let them remain where they are, they simply have little or no intention to change.

I wonder if any self-respecting Muslim will bear the name "Esubiyi" which is very Yoruba name. Would you give your child that name going by your argument that "the name you bear is insignificant"? #Kai See #Argument.

This is a very interesting thread. grin

Politics / Re: Lagos To Introduce Cable Cars For Mass Transportation. by adefash(m): 1:16am On Feb 04, 2013
Negro_Ntns: nooooooo, noooooo!!! angry

this is bad idea! this is like laying tracks for trams, except instead of on surface we are suspending it in the sky. this is bad idea. how do you combine fast tracks planned for the metro rails with outdated drags?

let us expand development hinterland into yoruba townships instead of wasting money in one spot to construct multi layers of redundant projects.

Eko Ile please share with the Governor to convert this money and erect a parallel fast track to compete with nigerian railway corporation. we need to depopulate lagos. people can live in oyo and commute daily to lagos to work. it is possible for people in osun to commute back and forth daily to lagos. it is called speed train or bullet train. sky cable cars will only incite the remaining millions left in villages to troop into lagos and be part of the skyriding crowd.

bad bad bad policy on this one......scrap it!

l love your insight on this.if ppl come to lagos from ogun, oyo, osogbo everyday to and fro lasgidi, this hasnt taken care of their free flow of traffic within lagos metropolise.both ur idea and that of lagos state govt are brilliant and needed.
