You will not, i have read this from you years ago.
That's because I haven't found a suitable opportunity and Buhari did not help. I am optimistic that the incoming government will accelerate development. Now is the time for diasporians to take position back home before it's too late. Moving here was a mistake for me in the first place.
I will be here to share my success story.

I want to believe that this manny has gotten either Aussie Visa or Yankee own. But if na to go back to Nigeria with a minimum wage of N30k dey his mind, 0m0 village remote control dey real shaa.

Put the countries I called by the side, the only thing that can give someone moral to travel back is if his father will be part of Emilokan Government.
(You can't tell me anything; Makachi)

Not everyone wants to be here. Some want to leave to other countries or even back to Nigeria, nothing wrong with that.
As I am, if I get a job that will take me to Nigeria, I will be off. Never liked it here and can't wait for the right opportunity.

Thanks elders...
I equally have a pending issue with the man before the preg saga surfaced.

Was paid completely (working hours) from December until February however in March i discovered was short paid with almost £630
I demanded for an explanation and insisted it was incorrect
They requested for my working hours, which I provided every single thing they needed
Later accepted they would resolve it perhaps it was an erorr from the account team and promised to have my complete money credited ASAP.

Just yesterday, they announced it was my tax that was deducted and i asked which type of tax... I told them its my first job besides I thought I should enjoy tax free for my first 12k as a care worker...
I Requested for my pay slip (which they have never given me before) and I have not gotten a clear response though they agreed to prepare all of it but I am scared they might just doctor it like inec

I thought I should add this too
Please elders I also need una advise... is it possible to double check if I was truly taxed? Via pay slip or are there means to verify this claim.

Thanks for all the efforts and input
This is a serious issue. They have set themselves up for problem. Meanwhile you can create an account with hmrc to get your CTR and you will see your earnings and tax paid to date plus your tax code. It is not difficult.
Please new immgrants should stop taking nonsense from employers just because they sponsored them.

Family / Re: I Don't Want My Mother To Come For My Omugwo by dustydee: 11:39pm On Apr 11, 2023
Ijelenwanyioma:

I am pregnant and by special grace of God, I am expected to have my baby in 3 months time. The issue is that I don't want my mother to come for my omugwo. I am her only daughter but she hate me so much. At first I thought it is old age but she's just 60+ and I have seen older women treating their daughter right.

The last omugwo she came I saw hell, I gave birth on Monday and she came on Thursday. I had 3rd degree tear(that type that they will stitch from anus to vagina) I explained to her that I can't stand for long because of the pain. Meanwhile before she came, a woman from my husband place was taking care of me and she won't let me come down from bed except to eat, bath, breastfeed my baby and sleep. But when she saw my mum, she stopped coming. The woman already prepared soup and kept inside freezer on Wednesday before my mum arrived. It was that soup we ate till Sunday. On Sunday morning I asked my mum what we will eat and she told me to wait for people that are coming to visit us so I can send any of them to market and cook. Like how can I send my visitor message? So I waited for my husband and son to come back from church. I just took tea and also served her. My husband went to market and bought the things I needed to make stew. My baby was sleeping and I went inside kitchen to make stew. My mum sat down comfortably in the sitting room watching film and gisting with visitors that came to see me and my baby. I was in serious pain but I have to cook what me and everybody will eat. I served her the food after cooking and she gladly ate it. She's is neither sick or having pain anywhere.

My mother never cook anything in my house for 4 months till she left. The day I mentioned it to her. She started crying that she knows I hate her like my father. Like how? I even expected her to apologise and lie that she wasn't feeling fine that day. Among all her children, I give her more money but she always show me I am not important.

The problem is, even though this is my third child, I can barely take care of child under 1 month. Apart from cooking, my mum always makes me cry by telling me some very harsh word. She will force me to drink very hot water that I can't even pour on my skin. If I refuse to drink she will get angry and start her wahala again. I don't just want her to come to my house again for my mental health. O ti su mi 😭😭

Some quick questions:
1. Are you and adult?
2. Is she coming to your house or are you staying in a house she bought for you?
If not, simply do not let her into your house. Tell your husband not to invite her or let her in, simple.
Sometimes we give too much respect to people who do not respect themselves

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently residing in the United Kingdom, having overstayed my visa by a period of two years. However, I am now looking to return to Nigeria with my wife , who is a British citizen, for the purpose of getting married. I am seeking guidance on how best to approach the issue of my overstay and how to present a compelling case for the granting of a visa.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
If you are married, why do you want to marry her again?
Just be upfront and sincere with them. Also mention your good record (no criminal recird) while you were in the UK.
No one can give you a definitive answer on how the application will be decided.

A lot of banks have stopped processing payments to exchanges. You can try Revolut. If not use p2p on Binance but be cautious.

Good evening all. Please help with a last minute decision.

Been waiting on COS for health care dependent visa for my brother and got a call that a chef dependent visa is available. Please help counsel me.

I’d like to know if it’s still Ok to go with the CHEF dependent visa or insist on the health care dependent visa.

Please help
Meaning your spouse is a chef? Why don't you clarify from your main applicant that you are applying as his/her dependent?

But why are they tearing the old passports instead of the ones still valid?. You can see that the passports being torn appear to be perforated, which indicates that they are expired passports that have been replaced.

Thank you for your suggestions and advice. @Contra5, I have since emailed the vice chancellor regarding my situation.

Before coming to this forum to ask for suggestions and contributions, please don't always think people have not done their best and look for every available option.

My school is Edinburgh Napier University, and yes, students can retake a module twice within a three-month grace period.

I will like to let everyone know that I am not the only person having this issue; in fact, I have three other Nigerian coursemates with the same issue.

Two of them have since abandoned school and moved to England on COS when the issue could not be resolved last trimester. My course is a 16-month course.

My school is notorious for locking your school app if you fail your school fee repayment plan; even if you miss just one month, your school app will be locked Until they receive your payment.

I'm sure there are a lot of Napier students here on Nairaland that can testify to that.

So imagine a scenario where your payment was delayed by Form A for 3 months before the school received your payments, and within these 3 months you were given the option for resit/re-assesment for a failed module.

The school finance team is very much aware of the situation of Form A in Nigeria; they just don't care. In fact, you get reported to the UKVI in the second month of your failed repayment plan.

A lot of Nigerian students here in the UK are going through a lot: some accommodation challenges, some financial challenges ( not getting a job), and some academic challenges.

Many people, including myself, had no idea what challenges awaited us until we arrived.

We need to do a lot to support each other, particularly in this forum, when it comes to contributions, advice, and suggestions. Everything should not be all about IPTV and the Amex card of your popular dokita @Lexusgs430.

Yes, I made mention of @Lexusgs430 because he has been in this country for over 20 years, he has seen it all, and he needs to do a lot more.

Thank you for your time.

Peace.

Please calm down. @Lexusgs430 has contributed a lot just like others here. The topics here are not exhaustive.
We all know that Nigeria is facing FX issues and there are delays in processing requests so that should have been a risk factor considered by intending students who plan to use the service.
I can't remember seeing you here asking for advise when you got the resit notice, perhaps someone would have helped but I believe there's also other threads that is more tailored specifically to students.
Try your best to resolve the issue with the school and hopefully you get to resit the course(s).

I wish you the best.

I want to know whether to dispute the notice period or just accept it. Bearing in mind that I won’t be able to switch jobs within that 5 years with that long notice period

That notice period is too long but I understand why they did that. If you find another job, you can make them dismiss you. That way you don't have to wait for 6 months. grin

This is incorrect. You pay £536 to get a sponsorship license(small companies) and you can sponsor up to 10 people with it. Bigger companies pay higher but it's still not up to £1500 pounds for the license.
The government still charges the employer a fee for employing you on a Tier 2 visa. I think Theresa May introduced it and it's about £1k a year.

Try putting your addresses in the last 3 years and see. It may not be only UK addresses that are acceptable.

If it's for residential purposes, not sure but I doubt. It is expected that your HTB home is your only residential property. Plus Ltd are typically available for 'Special Purpose Vehicles' so might be difficult to get.

What led to the delay is IOM results, IOM delayed the TB test certificate for more than 10 weeks before they release it and school was aware of all this delay. The same week the IOM TB certificate was released is the week I applied for the Visa. My issue is priority is usually 5 working days to get the decision and also return the passport back to TLS, so why was the passport delayed even till now it has not been return back to me. Can I sue UKVI for this?
You should be able to get your priority fees refunded. I am not sure you have a legal resort in this case but if you decide to sue, that will be a reasonable step. Check online to see if there is past precedence.

Those social workers are evil, they gave 2 kids recording devices to monitor the kids' conversation with their parents and instructed the kids not to inform their parents about the devices. The whole thing started when the kids said in school that one was beaten and the other one was asked to face the wall. The parents were invited and questioned, but refuted the allegations. Days later, the kids were given recording devices with chargers.
This is serious. How did the parents find out?
Did they confisticate the devices?
Sometimes as parents we need to know our rights and stand up to some of these people in an informed and non aggressive manner. Otherwise they will use uou as an example.

I only learned recently that asking them to go to the naughty corner is corporal punishment.
@Ralphlauren
Why will not having food in the fridge be a red flag? What about those families having a rough time? Never gave my kids snacks to school in their early years.

Also, last time I checked, spanking of bum was still legal in England but they were contemplating changing the law. Not sure if that has been done but Scotland totally prohibits it.

I think schools in deprived areas tend to report these sort of issues more than other schools.

quick check:
It is unlawful for a parent to smack their child in England except where this may amount to 'reasonable punishment'.

Yes Jesus was referred to bright and morning star, that does not change the fact that the name Lucifer is ascribed to Satan and Isaiah14 and Ezekiel both talks about Satan and not Jesus.
Show me where Ezekiel and Isaiah talks about Satan. The fact that those passages have been misinterpreted over the years does not make it right.

Story.

Go and read your bible well,Isaiah 14:12 is referring to Satan also know as Lucifer, isaiah 14:12 confirms Eziekel 28:1-end.
So why did peter refer to Christ as Lucifer?

Lucifer is out there looking for any available instrument to use and destroy.

Once you give the devil a small chance, He takes over fully and confuses and destroys your Destiny.

Life outside JESUS CHRIST is unlimited confusion, crisis and disaster.

It is a Dangerous thing to live life in isolation of GOD.
Do you know the Bible refers to Christ as Lucifer?
Lucifer is Latin word meaning "Light bringer" or "Day star". 1 Peter 1: 19 (Latin Vulgate) refers to Christ as Lucifer. Unforthantely we have mistranslated and mis interpreted it to mean the devil. The Bible never referred to the devil as Lucifer. Isaiah 14: 12 was referring the king of Babylon.
