Yeah that would have been easy, but I don’t know much about tax n the tax system in the UK, I don’t even know the transactions one is even suppose to declare to HMRC, so I am just playing safe, my office pay me salary n sort the tax stuff, while I trade with my Nigerians that we know how to sort ourself. Government of top countries (US n it’s like) for some reason have been eyeing cryptocurrencies n crypto investment. I don’t know what their plans are.

Imagine one day you are contacted by HMRC that you owe £100,000 on tax for your crypto transactions in the last 5yrs. Where i won start from? Money wey I don give school for fee and pay landlord from.

While I sold to people I did the normal checks on, I still wasn’t comfortable cos I didn’t know anyone personally. At this time I had transacted far over £10k in a short time and I became very scared.

Why all this long story, I am just trying to tell you not do it. If one commits crime and goes to jail, that will be fair, being under investigation for something you know nothing about is crazy.

My advice will be for you to sell your USDT to naira, then buy pounds from someone here using simple rules.

1. The details you use in sending naira to the persons Nigerian account is the same as the one sending pounds to your UK account.

2. When the person provides his/her Nigerian account, do detailed investigation in Nigeria with your contact to be sure the person is real and operates the said account regularly.

3. Transfer just what you need monthly for fees, you don’t have to do large transaction with the person since you don’t know them personally (regardless of your security checks on the person).

Hello guys, thanks for your responses and concerns. I replied my employer and stated some of the incidents of ill treatment, bullying and threats I received while working for them. I also told them to go ahead and report me to home office. After a couple of days, they mailed me to return my uniform and other company items in my possession. They also called to ask if I was still in the town or I had left the country. Lol. I laughed in my mind. My successful visa application mail was sent to me already. I took the items to them today. The MD came out in person to receive the items and went back in immediately. As I turned to leave, I said in my mind "good riddance".

I will be resuming work at my new place of work (a care home, no longer domiciliary care) in a couple of days.

Hello Everyone please my sister is about to apply for her tier 2 visa inside the uk from graduate visa but she was issued a COS almost 2 months ago and it read that her start date was 11th of November 2022. She is worried that the application will be rejected because she is just applying now. The COS expires in January but she wants to apply now but is worried as her work start date has passed - she couldn't apply because she didn't have the complete money then but she has it now so wants to do it-one of our friends said it doesn't matter that as long as she applies before the COS expires she will be fine.

Also does she need to upload any information as evidence during the application like - the COS?

If you live in a 3 bed house and you use one of the rooms for your business, you can claim 33% of the interest on your mortgage as deductable.

THE UK TAX FILING SEASON 2022

Tax season in the UK is the period of time in the year where ALL residents who are taxpayers are required to declare their incomes and submit their tax returns with the Her Majesty Revenue and Customs (HMRC). The season for filing taxes for 2022 has commenced in October 31st 2022 and will end on 31st January 2023. So make sure you file your taxes whether you are in full time employment or self employed.

The benefits of filing your taxes are huge.
1. You have the opportunity to claim the personal allowance of GBP12,570 each year,
2. you can claim some reliefs such as interest you have paid on mortgage loans you have taken to acquire apartment, which means you are effectively transferring all mortgage interest to the government while you are repaying only the principal of your mortgage loan, and
3. You are complying with the tax laws and avoiding paying late penalty charges. i.e GBP100 for first week.

You can do the filing online on HMRC website but if your incomes are not straight forward, it is better to get a tax consultant handle it for you to avoiding exposing yourself to high tax risk.
