Please your contributions and suggestions are needed urgently.

A well is to produce from 3 payzones without commingling, which of this completion configuration best fit the design process.
1. Using SINGLE STRING SELECTIVE COMPLETION where the zones are produced one after the other. The bottom produces first to abandonment and is plugged in then the second bottom is open for production and so on.
2. DUAL STRING - TRIZONE COMPLETION where the well produces from two tubings (bottom and second bottom Payzone) while the uppermost zone produces from casing.
3. MULTI-ZONE TRIPLE COMPLETION where the well produces simultaneously from 3 tubings.

Note: the well is to produce without commingling.

1 seem like a waste of time.

2 appears to be imperfect. Producing through casing may negatively impact flowing and wellhead pressure while the remaining two completions sound reasonable.

3; Using three tubings is not a common practice because of the limited size of ID of casing

In my own opinion, I think using two tubings to target two completions and putting the third completion behind sleeve in which you open later when you are through with one of the two completion below.

So for the late response. Next time if its so urgent, please send an email.

Thank you once again for your time. The M.Sc at Australia is a year program but the post study visa requires one to have studied for nothing less than 2 years to qualify for it. At the moment, geoscientists no longer have a place on the skilled list of Australia.

I got in touch with some Nigerians in Australia and they advised I look at Canada, UK or USA as geoscience is more rooted in the aforementioned countries than Australia.

Due to the benchmark of the scholarship grant, I will require over #4m to cater for upkeep while in Australia. Looking at cost, I have applied to a top school in Canada why I wait patiently for admission.

I will appreciate if you can mail me on

Ok, I'd mail you... remove your email from your original post to avoid spam messages...

ifoundmyperfect, Greetings to you. I'm having an issue on decision. I got a scholarship for MSc Petroleum Geoscience abroad. I'm thinking of University of Adelaide in Australia and also Royal Holloway University in the UK.

University of Adelaide resumes in February 2017 while Royal Holloway University resumes in September 2017; I'm not engaged with work at the moment. I need your professional advice on whIch to choose considering reputation; curriculum and other matters arising. My target is to enter the Petroleum Industry after studies.

To me, Australia seem not to be a popular destination for Geoscience. I will appreciate if you can check up the two courses up and give me holistic review.

Looking forward to your response.

P.S: Please treat as urgent.

Here is response to this, and it's gonna be short... Go to Australia if you have been given admission there. Australia is and has always been on high demand for geoscientist. Most of their citizen dey shy away from the profession. I know of a few persons way back that were given employment + work permit immediately after their Msc. Although those guys were quite exceptional academically. I don't expect you to do any less. (i'd be here to offer whatever assistance you may need). Unlike USA wey be say even if na 102% u get, as long as dey no fit find an American citizen qualified for the job, nothing for you! UK is okay, but get ready to be kicked out immediately your program is off. Except you wan dey play hide and seek or sabi other means...
All the best bro!

hmmm.... Such a disaster!
This kinda result brings joy to some lecturers. Unknowingly to them, it is a reflection of their ineptitude and little understanding of the course. "becos if they did, this catastrophic outcome would have been avoided. Such a huge shame! I empathize with Nigeria students in some govt owned schools...

Danoluwa:
hello house I have 2 questions.
Firstly, I will like to know more on the application of GIS in geosciences.
Secondly, I am currently looking at a phd in petroleum geociences but on a second though am considering doing another msc in energy and environmental management to broaden my career prospect due to the current situation in the petroleum industry. I already have three yrs working experience covering modelling, wellsite geology, formation evaluation and drilling.

Bro, I am not so conversant with GIS usage in geoscience. So i'd leave that part for another fellow to attend to...

Regarding your Ph.D pursuit, I think its a great idea, likewise pursuing an Msc in Environmental management. But i'm sorta lost because i didn't get to read the part where you highlighted your intent on the basis on having a passion for it, asides the career prospects.

If you are familiar with the oil and gas industry, you'd realize that this current strain in global oil prices is just momentary. No be today e for start. Oil price will still gradually pick up. You are already on a good standing having a 3 years experience that covers "MAJOR SPECIALIZE SELLERS" in the industry. Haba! Build your fortress on that.... A Ph.D in geoscience will also be an excellent recipe. But bear this in mind, it only increases your chances as a consultant (with an appreciable years of experience), but the monetary side is slightly more that what a MSc holder with similar years of experience. You can lookup AAPG's page for current salary earnings categorized by Bsc, Msc and Ph.D holders.

Discover your passion and let it drive you. If na money dey drive you, focus more in building your already acquired skillset and probably add an Msc in an area you feel is equally in high demand (you'd be rushed after like rain in a desert, esp when the oil price picks up)... But If na knowledge dey drive you, satisfy you inquisitive mindset and go for a Ph.D

The choice is yours! wink

However, to be at the top of your game in the industry, you need to have a balanced knowledge in statistics...

Fellas, I've got my hands tied, but in a bid to live up to fulfil the promise for today, I'll be sharing an ebook that will be up for just this week.

The book "Production Handbook" is to contribute to efficient performance by all Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Operations staff, by providing quick access to and practical guidance on their own and related disciplines’ technology.

I decided to share a book that can meet the intellectual demands of both geoscientist and pertoleum engineers as you'd find in its robust content listing.

Enjoy!

Business / Re: My Experience Using Gtbank *737* Transfer Service by ifoundmyperfect: 8:19am On May 07, 2016
Stalwert:
Hi,

Just Moments Ago....

I was in pickle I had great need to transfer money to a certain someone ..... Well thank God for Gtbank *737* platform which makes transfers convenient requiring only a functioning 1g phone to transfer money so easily.

*737* Fails me twice in a roll tongue

So I picked my phone copied the account number paste it after typing *737*2*10000*#!!@!@!×# and presto... supplied all the information requested and waited for a confirmation the money has been transferred but instead it said "sp service timed out"....
l was like first you don't succeed. try again

So I tried again and got the same response again ...sp service timed out.

Waited for a while

Then I tried it the 3rd time ... this time it confirmed that the transfer was successful.
I simply put my phone back in my pocket and sat down. grin

Invasion of the text mssg

I brought out my phone to browse and saw a torrent of. messages 6 in total. and opened my text box and saw all 6 mssg were from GTbank .... Immediately I knew they have done me real good. undecided cry
I opened the text mssg and saw that 10000 was deducted twice to the same account. One of the service timed out had actually timed in and transfered the money. I was outrage lipsrsealed angry I won't stand for this and even the paralyzed won't sit for it either.

Frantic call embarassed
I dialed 737 the line was so poor I droped and googled GTbank hotline which gave me 070 line which I dialed and followed the prompt. .. a nice and cordial lady picked up the line asked a series of questions which answered thinking I will get my money back only for the lady to say e pele sir please call the person you sent the money to refund your money there is nothing we can do for you ( no she didn't say e pele na sorry) cry undecided lipsrsealed angry angry I was utterly disappointed.

Why would the bank service that timed out send my money and pretend that it hadn't while waiting and lurking around for me to send the money again
and then deduct my money twice?
And the bank cannot do anything about it?

This is just so grade A crappy crap if you ask me.

lalasticala abeg come tell my story make country people learn small lesson.

Na so I see am too. Thank God say e no pass 10k. There are times It gets worse.

The latest trend now is that you can't use this service (*737#) with zero Acct balance. You can't evern recharge with zero Acct balance. I learnt this is coming in from telecoms who no long allow for this service to run freely on their platform (Glo and Etisalat). It's been frustrating for me whenever my Acct carelessly hit the zero mark. undecided

Cool, can't wait.
I am thinking we could from time to time have a kinda of weekend stowaway, (forgive me I am that crazy) can be kind of picnic or training, where those who are versed in one software or another can share, teach and train those interested. There we can share experiences and opportunities, invite colleagues and friends who are not here, you know, We can always shift, from town to town. So that all can benefit.
It's time we become cool expatriates to other countries too, and we can do so together.. I so much believe in what I call 'teaching or learning by experience'
Let me stop here, someone should modify this dream of mine and let's see what we can make out of it.
Thanks again Val for reaching out to me today.

That's great brilliant idea. Though time costly. Truth is, it's the pet project I have in mind. That is, meeting with a couple of this thread's followers one on one and giving counsel, sharing softwares, exclusive e-books, and training (3-5days meeting). This will commence from Lagos (charity begins at home). It's all going to be free (No hidden charges. Except d moni wey u go use enter transport come or burn ontop fuel). Period for this to be announced much later. Thanks for your contribution Ada.

Hello People!
This thread has been silent for far tooooooo long. My deepest apologies. I feared for the previous state of this thread. It has entirely been attributed to my workload. It's beem too demanding. Let's see how it gets for the next couple of days, weeks and probably months.

I'd like to state herein that I have gotten a lot of positive feedbacks, requests, counsel via email. I do try to respond to them all at any chance I get.

I figured some mails I got may be of benefit to some followers and potential followers of this thread. So I'd try to b more active on this platform, so as to reduce the number of  emails I receive that some of you can relate with.

Well, as usual, I am loaded!
I go start to fire from monday.  cool cool
I have a couple of things to share with you guys. I also have a pet project up my sleeves for the benefit of some of the followers of this thread. I'd reveal to you as time goes by. Shine your eyes!‎ shocked shocked shocked

So people, abeg join me to keep this thread alive. This is one of those few thread that'll still stay relevant even in the next geologic era. Even after #EndTime. Lol

Thanks guys!‎

I like to look at the Genesis of an issue.

WHEN they warn ladies to do it slowly and be frugal during weddings. They say na rubbish we dey talk. We all know that day is what most ladies look up to and want it to be the talk of the town but you also need to learn what happens during the lead up to that day may determine what would happen in the first few yeats of your marriage.

Which man won't go boning?

After putting him into debt. Remember those times he said you should reduce the guest list or go for a cheaper wedding gown and you turned it down. Or the times you never gave a damn about the cost of items and went for the most expensive. Now it is over and he is in deep shit.

I don't blame you but the results of the kind of debt we put new couples into because of an elaborate wedding and "let them know and see me" attitude only manifests when the curtains are drawn.

He has spent all his money on wedding and now can't pay for office rent just few months down the line. What would happen when the kids roll in?

Seriously, i don't know what you can do. Just pray the times change and turns more favorable or get busy and start bringing in some bucks to help lessen the pressure on him. He is also to blame, you know the status of your finances but caved into societal pressure now you are turning back the anger on her. Not good.
