Our leaders are demonically corrupt! E dey blood.

@Izzou, na the fair deal be dis abi? The people of South Sudan should Sope O TI LO

"The agreement was signed on 28 December by South Sudan’s former Finance Minister, Bak Barnaba, and Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, chairman of the Hamad Bin Khalifa Department of Projects (HBKDOP), according to the term sheet seen by Reuters.

It was not clear if the first tranche of the loan, worth $5.24 billion, had been delivered yet.

South Sudan’s Minister of Information Michael Makuei denied such a deal had been signed, asking: “How can one minister sign such a document alone on behalf of the government?”

He declined to comment further when Reuters shared with him a copy of the signed term sheet."

You are repeating what i just said.

Nothing concerns me with how the people of Sudan perceives it. I no dey the country

Someone giving you $13bn upfront, with a measly 140k BPD per day you make, is fair.

You can not remove corruption factor because that is the most important factor.

How much has S. Sudan generated as GDP over the last 10 years?

When i mentioned "Fair deal", i was talking about the deal between the country and the firm.

If the president like, make e pack the money put for Sportybet.

It is the business between both entities i was referring to

Criminal African leaders who think about themselves only! Make no mistake about this, this is a lopsided deal and everyone involved knows this but because there no transparency and African leaders are criminal, they don't mind.

That $13B is gone with this regime, South Sudan don't generate enough to pay this gbese. Whatever happens to oil prices, South Sudan will suffer during the period and even after. Are they struggling to sell their oil? $10 less per barrel looks small until you realize between now and 20 years, oil prices will fluctuate significantly.

Let's remove the corruption part out. How is the deal lopsided?

S Sudan's produces about 140,000 BPD
Oil price is at $80

These guys no chop Sudan like that oh, if you use a worst case scenario of dividing that BPD by 2.

I am trying to understand why a dubai firm would be buying oil from another country, when their own nation has massive oil reserves.

Add to that dubai is a wealthy Arab Muslim country entering into a deal with poor infidel niggers who split from a Muslim country that is now in turmoil.

I am wondering what their actual angle is in all this

I think the deal is cheap and they had the money to throw around.

You drive a Hilux and Highlander, and you see a broke guy selling his Tokunboh corolla for 1.8 million.

You don't need it, but its a good deal.

Nigeria no get money
Nigeria is broke

Of all the problems choking the nation, FG pushed 1 trillion for a brand new road. With just an initial phase of 47km?

My maths is bad, but that's like VI to Epe or nearing IjebuOde

That is what we thought best to tie our 1 trillion on.

X don chop Ban for clarifying the Coastal Road Project is an EPC+F Model. FG counter-fund is 30% while Contractor will be responsible for 70%.

Note: the Road will be tolled and first phase is 47.4km.

If the road will cost 15 trillion naira, how much will 30% be?

i dont know what the rationale for the coastal road is - but in the current climate, if FG was to expand roads in ogbomosho we would see the same brigade calling the government wicked and callous destroying peoples ancestral home or something like that

but keep in mind that construction projects generate business and boost economy

a lot of subcontractors will be hired to provide different services

any mamaput within the axis will make money from selling to workers

izzou, better get people who sell solar floodlight on the phone - because they will def install solar floodlights on the road

depending on where you source it is between 200 to 400k for a single unit.

all the cement geng may hammer on the project as well .

add ironbender guild join.

I agree that good roads boosts economy, but sometimes, a road is just for people to pass...

I saw concrete roads all over Ebonyi, but nothing is there. Absolutely nothing

Buhari did IjebuOde to Okada. How many industries have relocated there because there is good road?

That was why i asked the question about ports, because the new reason is that it will link to all the ports. But is any activity happening in 99% of them?

We do not have the pockets to commit such for just one road. There's no need making it look like paradise will begin after the completion.

Since you don't know,i will be patient to enlighten you.

The Oyo to Ogbomoso road is very critical to the economic of Nigeria. That you even asked shows how far you are from the reality of everyday nigerian. It is the road that connect the entire food producing North East like Kebbi, sokoto, and North central to the southwest all the way to lagos port. If groundnut pyramid still exit in Kano,be rest assured that it will pass through this route before landing in lagos for export.

The oyo - Ogbomoso axis is were trailers, tankers, containers get stucked for days because it is bad and a single lane.. They are yet to connect both towns together to the express. It has been this way since the days of OBJ. A reasonable person will ask when they are finishing this road before championing an entire new road especially someone from there.

Apart from being bad, it is very narrow.

If you cannot calculate well, when trying to overtake, na hell fire or heaven you go end up.

So many roads are like that.

In most of the numerous Akoko in Ondo, you'll see federal roads looking like streets.

You know this talk about redirecting business from Lagos because the apapa port is what brings alot of business dealings.

Exactly that's why.
Which I can understand but what I don't fully get is why shipping companies prefer apapa.
Even the newly constructed lekki port is still not as active as expected from industry gist.

So yes to mainly take business away from Lagos.

We once had that arguement here in 2022, and i said that almost no shipping line will want to do anything with another port apart from Apapa. The reason is because our waters are not safe.

Well, i was shut up by the Defensive midfielders of Buhari, on how our waters are the safest in Africa.

But that's beside the point.

If the country is import dependent, is the reason for the port to drag shipping lines with Lagos?

Will any shipping line have enough cargo from California to Ondo? Or when it berths in Lagos, dem go use badges begin carry am?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:57am On May 02
Please i want to ask an honest question. Forgive its foolishness.

What exactly with the rising number of seaports have in this country?

Lagos get three
Ondo wan get
Delta wan get
Rivers get
Akwa-Ibom, Cross river , blah blah blah

And Nigeria virtually exports next to nothing. I read sometime ago that vessels leave Nigeria almost empty. Just thousands of empty containers.

So what exactly will happen when everyone has seaport? Na to hustle importation numbers abi na another thing?

So you have to back up your claims and show how 1 trillion will fix all the roads in Nigeria.

The Agriculture in the North still feeds most of the country till today and they have roads to transport it to the market

I didn't say all the roads in Nigeria.

And yes, it is foolish economically to spend 1 trillion on a road, just for a 100km difference.
