Hello guys,

After reading this thread, i asked myself if i have the energy to assist, but i think i will try my best. I am a chronic advocate for export. I also train in agro produce and solid mineral export. You can visit our website photos gallery www.multipathpro.com/photos.html. You can also see a newspaper attached write up on one of the training sessions i spoke at.

I was also opportuned to have been a strong official of the Lagos State Marketeters and Agro Processors (LASAMAP).

Anywayz, you can ask me any questions in export of Agro produce or solid minerals export. I will be willing to assist.

Please incase i dont respond, it means i have shut my tab off, i will always come back to respond to you questiions one after the other.

Thank you.

favour ume:

Oga English language may not be my first, but the question is self explanatory and it says - "Describe this equipment" which means it is just ONE equipment you are require to describe.

Moreover, the question asked before this gives you an idea of what they want which is "What is the minimum equipment cost that is necessary to commence trading or expand your business." meaning, just ONE equipment that means a lot to the commencement of your business.

@favour: you are wrong. Equipment here means that u shd mention a few of the equipment you will need. Not just a single one. They allotted all of the space in that field for that reason.

PAT4HOT: Evrything for Naija na bussiness opportunity

Everything in Naija isnt business opportunity. I am a business development and financial consultant and part of my training is to solve human problems.

I will be glad to see young people access this grant, rather than keep complaining that the FG isnt doing anything for the youths.

Unfortunately, our youths are more disposed to playing sports betting and baba ijebu. They have forgotten that they also have the capacity to invent their own thing.

ifyalways: They didn't start scamming us today oh .

I've been scammed by one oyibo woman I met through penpals when I was a teen. I suffered to gather and send her a bag of cowries and shells, she never sent my payment. Worst part is that I saved and starved (my pocket money) so I could raise the NIPOST fees.

There are scammers everywhere. There is a Nigerian i know that is on wanted list as i write you, no one knows his whereabout. Be that as it may, there are fundamentals for international trade, its not for teenagers.

Sure you have learnt a thing or two from that bad experience.

Dont give up, its a process to eldorado.
Politics / Re: Charcoal Exporters Be Warned. by kingagropro1: 12:34pm On Dec 17, 2013
The CDC should go a step further by publishing the names of these buyers in Europe. So they can be blacklisted. I have always warned exporters when i train against engaging in contracts with Cash Against Document (CAD) contract terms.

I have credible buyers in Europe, there are good and bad people everywhere.

Please Note: there is always a trap in most export contracts and i charge a fee for reading and interpreting export contracts for both Agro Produce and Solid Minerals.

Be wise and lets serve you so you dont lose money.

Export business is good and it earns you forex, but take heed and lets see you through a successful export venture.

No corporate body will give you a loan to establish anything. Businesses are started through family and friends, then you can take it from there.

My most precious advice to you is to commit your venture into paper work. If you require the service of putting down a business plan, then contact my NL profile.

Business / Re: Nairaland Dragon's Den - Get funding for your business by kingagropro1: 3:15pm On Dec 16, 2013
somebody: How about a nairaland version of Dragon's Den? For those who don't know/watch it - Dragon's Den is a reality TV show which features entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to potential investors for an equity investment. On this thread, entrepreneurs could pitch their ideas to Dragon's who could potentially finance their business. Personally, I am happy to fund good business ideas BUT with a maximum cap which I will not disclose. Also happy to co-invest if my maximum investment is reached. My interest lies in this because I am not a business people and would rather see my money go to work as opposed to leaving it in the bank. Please note the due diligence will be carried out and legal documents will be need to be signed before any investments are made.

Personally, I am NOT interested in ideas like forex and animal farming, would like to hear more original ideas. Just give a vague overview so the idea is not copied and discussions can be taken offline after signing a non disclosure agreement which protects the entrepreneur.

So the thread is open to entrepeneurs and potential investors grin - lets hear from you.

@somebody: i will be very honest with you that as a consultant, i am weary of the veracity of ur intentions and ur thread. Like seriously, do you expect people to come churn their creative ideas here publicly on NL? Perhaps maybe the young and inexperienced entrepreneurs.

We do not know your profile, personality, website or better still nothing about you. The concept of Dragons Den isnt meant for masqurade angel investors or venture capitalists.

If indeed you say you are interested in this, then more is required of you. I am sure you wouldnt expect i should past an executive summary of an idea i have laboured for just here.

But if your unsuspecting preys appreciate this your approach, then who am i.

All i have simple said is, your email would have been sufficient for exec summaries not on the pages of Nairaland Nigeria PLC.
Business / Nairaland Business Transaction Arbitration Centre by kingagropro1: 11:29am On Dec 15, 2013
Hello All,

I have decided to open this thread because of some concerns i have read through some sections on NL, especially those botherimg in business transactions.

I have read various complains about some people not meeting their business obligations, i am currently going through one myself and i have given the person an ultimatum to refund my money or all of NL would know what has transpired. This is because all these people have used Seun's NL to make money without them paying any Royalties, yet they want to tarnish the great image of this site. Tufiakwa, God Forbid.

Please if you have done business with anyone and they are lieing and dribbling you, please drag them here. This is the court of public opinion. They cant come here and make money and yet dupe us. We wont allow this. The integrity of this forum must be kept.

If such a person does not appear after the allegation, then we can make an official complain to the management of NL on why such an individual must be exposed with full identity and ostracised from NL permanently. We sure dont need crimimals amongst us.

Keep your reports and complains coming in. Please feel free to mention the usename of the accused. Remember such an accused remains an accuse, until proven guilty or otherwise.

Thank you.

Does this means that manual farmer can make a return of say, 30tons using this varieties? Cos if you ask me, a 25ton return is quite huge and reasonable. So are you in IB now, would appreciate meeting up with you if possible.

TME 419 specie can give you 30tons /ha.

Godspikin:

Pls do you have contact details of those who buy at 25k? Kindly supply.

The purchase price for cassava is not an expressway issue. How long your cassava spends in the ground is also a major factor, the specie of your cassava is also very critical. So the price of N25k per tonnes isnt cast in Gold.

Different cassava species serve various purposes. Different cassava varieties are required to produce various things; starch, glucose, chips, ethanol etc. Different species of cassava are required to produce these things.

If you can post the picture of your cassava leaf here, i may help you guess what specie you have planted, even though i may not be accurate.

Its all about knowledge as said before.

I hope i have been able to confuse, convince you a bit more? LoL.

I can only wish you the best bro.

Well the fact you did not dtudy agric is no excuse for ur ignorance, I studied computing at both BSc and Msc level so but I have done my research properly in thr last 6 months and am ready to hit the groun runing with alll the information I have gathered. As for the what stagger said regarding local and improvoed variaties are true if you planted the old variaty you should be expecting between 5 to 11 tons and the upper limits applies only when the soil is fertile and best agronomic practices are apllied along side fetilizer. Mind you I would not advice you to replant you current stem if you do no know the variety, knowing the variety u have makes it easier to sell. On the other hand if you can't sell to industrial users then you can go a step forward by adding value to the cassava root by converting it to Garri or fufu and u can sell to the local market @ a resonable price.

@ stagger I would like to plead that u give people complete information, and not just give a generic information which does not give intennded farmers a proper information.
the national average for cassava per hectare is 25 tons. To achive this certain things have to be put in place.

This is the way to go, you can contact me obaconsultant@gmail.com

You can thank me later.

alingo4life: Broda,Check out Shippyme.com to me they are the best and will always be.was using a shipping company before, but had to change them. They take time before your package will reach your end,at times weeks and even up to a month at times, making you broke like shit.but when i found shippyme.com they took my tears away.. Free US Address, and very updated..believe me you,go for them and you will have nothing to regret..

@boyalinco: just kidding. Please share your real life experience. What did you ship to nigeria, how much did you pay as charges/lbs/kg, was it consolidated shipmemt they did for you or a fresh airway bill was opened for your shipment, how many times have you used them, did you pay additional charges when your goods arrived nigeria?

I will be glad if these questions are answered one after the other. A lot of us will learn and benefit from this.

Thanks.

debco: Check on www.parcelzoom.com . They do shipping from US †̥ Nigeria but preferably you use fedEX because DHL works with custom, not saying fedEX doesn't but it varies. NB: there shipping cost is a bit high but reliable,I use them for shipping †̥ Nigeria.

Thanks. I have had funny experiences with fedex before. I brought in 5 laptops and NDLEA held them, they said i should go and bring N50k bribe, i refused. They said i should go and bring the invoice i bought them, ofcourse i contacted my suppliers and they sent the invoice to them and copied me. They thought i am a yahoo boy, old man like me. My laptops were released to me without pay ing a dime for bribe.

So, all those big names are a no no for me.

I actually believe the big names have been compromised. What they pride themselves in was door to door, now they have become ordinary cargo companies, otherwise, i am not meant to pick items at their location.

Beware of them.

Thanks all the same.

I have an office in ikeja, awolowo house precisely close to computer village. If that location is okay for you, then lets work together.

Going forward i also think there needs to full disclosures of identity at least to make clients feel comfortable.

Can we have your full details? Name, address etc.

I have been very confused about whether there is indeed a credible freight/forwarding company showcased on NL. I see so many of them advertising themselves but i hardly read true customer reviews.

Please is there anybody here that has a true experience of shiping through an air feight service here using groupage shipping?

I dont need info from any freight company here, i want customers to share their live experiences based on charged rates, arrival days in Lagos and possible recommendations.

Freight company reps please stay off, this is a customer service thread.

I will be very glad if i get sincere responses as i also have light/non heavy items i want to ship to Nigeria but i dont know who is real or fake.

Thanks.

And if he isnt taking more orders in January, does that mean he should go into oblivion, without taking his clients into consideration?

Either way, i dont think he has the required integrity to take this business to the next level. This is people's hard earned money we are talking about here.

This is the height of insensitivity. cry

This is really so sad, i have even gone back to the beginning of this thread and i discovered this linkto guy didnt give any address or valid contact, all he gave are an email and a gsm number, i dont want to imagine the guy is a scammer, otherwise i would only wonder why some Nigerians find it difficult to be honest. I just wish his details were here, it would have been easier to track him in the US.

This business is legitimate enough to give a life earnings.

Even though i am not a victim of this experience, i feel so pissed.

Crime / Re: Pictures Of Prof. Iyayi's Bullet-pierced Body (Viewers Discretion Advised) by kingagropro1: 4:58pm On Dec 05, 2013
Willgates: Accident or assassination?

The nature of two holes on the late Professor Festus Iyayi’s body gives life to suspicions by his colleagues that he may have been shot.

Along with grief, anger will be the dominant emotion when Professor Festus Iyayi is buried this week in his hometown, Ugbegun in Edo State. The two feelings have mixed, predictably with unsavoury outcomes, since the former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, died on 12 November in an auto accident on the Lokoja-Abuja Expressway.

Iyayi was travelling to Kano in the company of three other ASUU members for a meeting on the ongoing strike by members of the union when a police escort van in the convoy of the Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State rammed into the bus the university teachers were travelling. Iyayi died instantly, while three his colleagues were seriously injured.

Wada, who was severely injured in an accident involving his convoy last year, was widely criticised by ASUU and the wider public for his failure to learn from his own experience and for allegedly failing to stop to assist the victims.

HERE & HERE

The escort vehicle was said to have veered off from its lane to hit the bus bearing the ASUU members, a claim the Kogi State government denied.

The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, called for an official inquiry into Iyayi’s death and urged the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, to curb the recklessness of official convoys.

The FRSC also got a slice of the criticisms, following an accusation that it was shielding the driver of the vehicle that smashed into the bus conveying Iyayi and his colleagues.
One week after, ASUU dismissed the view that Iyayi’s death was accidental and forcefully contested the official claim that his heart was pierced by a strange object at the accident scene. The association pointedly blamed the death on the government and “its agents”. In a statement issued by the University of Benin chapter of the union, ASUU said Iyayi did not die in an accident, but was “wilfully” murdered. The union said it will demand concrete answers from the government for the alleged murder. It demanded that an autopsy be performed on Iyayi’s corpse and warned government officials to stay away from the burial.

“His burial should not be an avenue for government officials to score cheap political points, as we will resist any state involvement in the burial,” the union raved. Civil society groups in Edo State also demanded an inquiry into Iyayi’s death.

Was Iyayi murdered? ASUU believes it has what constitutes prima facie evidence to support its suspicion. Members of the union point to two holes, one in the chest and another in the back, as offering a less than complicated indication that Iyayi was shot. Photographs of Iyayi’s corpse obtained by this magazine, show holes that look like entry and exit bullet holes.

Where is the autopsy report? Issues of this magnitude shouldnt be buried under the table of social media and criticism. If this is not made public, then we are likely to see another one worse than this in the near future.

Leadership and responsibility can never rise on the alter of guesswork.

henrimoto: ohohh o...! thank you nwanna. i have learnt this one from you.

Most of your local newspaper journalists also use pen names. This was most prevalent in the military era. Such that even when the security operatives burst into those offices and ask of the name of the journalist they see on the newspaper or magazine, they never find the author of the article.

Pen names are allowed in publishing industry.
