Arexit: There's a reason you bring your commodity to sell in Lagos. Nobody goes to a dead zone to sell commodities. I hope you understand that premise. Besides, you're probably banking your money not in Lagos but in Sokoto or Kaduna. So when you sell your goods, you take your cash back home to bank and then pay your tax there. I think you're forgetting that as at that time, there wasn't wire transfer, POS, ATM, computerized banking etc. So if you paid income tax, you paid it back in your region. DonCortino: The map has may be has it was drawn but adminstrativly Taraba and Adamawa have never been under the Eastern region. Apparently the pix you shared was based on rivers Niger and Benue. The rivers were never used to delineate Nigeria.
