good morning fellow Nigerians smiley

Is anyone up to date with the CDC/NCDC covid laws for this April and subsequent months?

I need to be sure that it's just vaccination card that is required for travelling and not that and a negative pcr. Ideas from a recent traveler will be well appreciated

It changes every month.
Read the current T&Cs of the countries of your Departure, Arrival and sometimes Transit within a 2-3 weeks of your travel to work with most accurate information.

Please how to find dates for US visit visa interview? I can only see dates as from January 2024 and upwards since last October I have been checking.

Good morning,

Please, anyone with updates on the IW slots should kindly relay such here. I have not been able to secure any date, as of yet.

The telegram ID is not available when you search, and I am so weary of the telegram group going by some stories here of how people are just yanked off the group for no reason, even after playing their part in searching. It will be so disheartening if that applies to me, to be honest.

Anyone with useful information should kindly help those of us yet to secure IW appointments. It even beats my imagination as to why the consulate just releases dates sparingly, forgetting the fact that people have actually cancelled their existing appointments.

Cheers!
I can tell for a fact how the Telegram group was a big help to me and a whole lot of people getting a date fast and am sure if others can be truthful will say for a fact how the telegram group was a very good one. Don't go by what people saying about the group. Dey just don't remove anyone from the group . people were removed mostly cos they were not checking for date at deir said allocated time In which they choose themselves . So they had to remove them so as not to set others back . I was able to get a date in just 3days after I joined so if u really need a date and u ready to complie with the group rule which is check once daily and send a screen shot on the group . Then it's best u join so you can get a date asap

This trend is very helpful
justwise:
Welcome to part 4 of this thread. Old things must pass away, and new things take effect!n (Although the info in Parts 1, 2 and 3 remain priceless and Must/Ought to be read by any serious applicant.Part 2 was wonderful. Lots of lovely people offering great advice. Each in their own unique style. You guys rock!!! You know yourselves.

For enquiries relating to likely interview questions and self evaluation, kindly go through both parts 1 and 2 of this thread so you have a fair knowledge of answers to such questions.

Kindly note that this is a do it yourself thread. Nobody here is an agent. Nobody is a VO, hence cannot authoritatively predict your chances of visa success .

Happy reading and good luck to all the honest visa seekers!

Finally, Lying on your ds 160 or during the interview is misrepresentation and a crime. This thread's aim is not to teach / coach applicants on how to lie. The truth is ALWAYS the best course of action no matter the situation. Please DO NOT ask about how to misrepresent on this thread.

Hello house,

Question for fresh application!!!
Please I have a bothering question about the US Visa process.
My brother is currently a citizen and he moved from Nigeria many years ago. He wants to send me an invitation letter but recently discovered the age on my passport is different from the age he filled when making his own applications to/in the US (the part on siblings details).
Does this truly matter or do I have to change my own passport details?
Thank you!

Hey guys! I have gotten valuable information from this thread so I figure I will give back. I know some folks had questions about the IW submission process in Abuja. My mum had her IW appointment in Abuja this morning. She submitted her documents at the DHL office and not the Embassy as we initially assumed. She was there for about 90 minutes before she was attended to. They checked her documents and everything was good. I know some on this thread had questions about whether a proxy can submit on behalf of the applicant, especially an older applicant. My mum told me that a woman at DHL this morning asked the same question and the DHL worker said it is not possible. The applicant has to submit in person. I will update when there is more information. Good luck everyone!

Do not lie on your application. Include your true age on your application and all accompanying documents. If the VO asks, tell him the truth -- your brother made a mistake about your age when he completed and submitted his PR/GC/citizenship applications. It is as simple as that.

No. He is correct. If he got married legitimately, his wife can file for his green card and he will get a 2-year conditional green card. The only instance where you cannot change status is if you did not enter the US through a port of entry (e.g. illegal border entry). Since he came in with a valid visa, he’ll be just fine.

I know someone that was given a no change of status Visa. Even marriage does not nullify it. Ask immigration lawyers.

I'm trying so hard to wrap my brain on why your brother will not know your DOB but it's fine. Changing DOB on the passport is a long thing so let him change the DOB on the Visa application. It's easier.

Best of luck

Thanks for the information. Please, which of their DHL offices? The Heritage House, Wuse Zone 3 Abuja, or The DHL at 63 Ademola Tokunbo Wuse 2 Abuja? What is the list of documents required for checking and submission?

It is the DHL office at Heritage House, Wuse Zone 3. The list of documents required to support your visa application depends on the class of visa you are applying for and this information is on the appointment confirmation letter that you receive when you schedule your visa appointment. My mum applied for a B1/B2 visa and the documents she was asked to submit included the appointment confirmation letter, passport containing the expired visa, original MRV receipt, DS-160 confirmation page, & 2 passport photographs.

Exactly.
If Custom and Border Patrol writes No EOS (Extending of Status) or No AOS (Adjustment of Staus) at Port of Entry, the only option is to leave the US.
Nothing can be done.

This is to arm people with accurate info and not get stuck forever in the US or create a situation where they can never return to the US. The US also shares immigration data with other countries.

Your response will be appreciated.

You have to fill your Ds160, book an appointment (select the next available date you see) then you’ll see request appoint on the left menu.

Then request by giving brief explanation and supporting docs.

It is possible although chances may be slim. The earliest dates now are in the first quarter of 2024. If you really want to get an earlier date, you will have to schedule an appointment now and then check back frequently to see if earlier dates open up when other people reschedule or if the embassy makes earlier dates available. Good luck!
