The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has asked his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart Atiku Abubakar to step down and endorse him (Tinubu) ahead of February 2023 presidential poll.

Tinubu asked Atiku to reciprocate the “gesture” he gave to him when he contested for the presidency in 2007 under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) by dropping his ambition and endorse him.

Tinubu spoke on Monday when he met with leaders from the northern part of the country under the umbrella of Arewa Joint Committee for an interactive session.

The meeting was part of a wider interaction with selected presidential candidates to discuss their plans for the region ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The appearance of the APC presidential candidate came two days after his rival in the PDP engaged in similar interaction with the northern leaders.

The interactive session held at the Arewa House in Kaduna was organised by a coalition of six groups from the North including the Arewa Consultative Forum, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation,, Northern Elders Forum, Jamar Matan Arewa among others.

Desperate clown!!

Atiku is not stepping down for anybody..

Tinubu must taste his popularity at the poll since he bragged he made Buhari a president, this is the time for him to crown himself president too..

MEANWHILE I WANT TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CALL ALL SECURITY AGENCIES TO SIT UP AFTER PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. A PARTICULAR DESPERATE CANDIDATE MIGHT SPONSOR A COUP AFTER BEING HUMILIATED BY NIGERIANS WITH THEIR VOTERS CARD

A desperate man can't withstand and accept defeat

This must be a joke

If Tinubu has known he would have contested against Jonathan in 2015. The South were thinking its always going to always be alternation of North and south not knowing the north doesn't give a damn. Just like during employment situations or govt jobs, north will pack in their people on whether qualified or not, South will be doing useless interview and checking qualifications.

South better wise up. How can people that make the money for the country be servants to those who only consume and create problems to draw the country backwards.

Tinubu is the real unifier, the only man that has used his political platform to build bridges, he's supported Nuhu Ribadu, Atiku and Buhari. He has a right to tell Atiku to step down.
I'm really pleased with Kashim Shettima. I pray he succeeds Tinubu. He's very intelligent, honest and fair.
If Atiku is a unifier as he claims the issues going on in PDP won't be there .
Tinubu asking Atiku to step down is for the sake of national cohesion. Not out of fear .

Whilst Atiku is burning the bridge for his ambition, Obi is just Laying foundation for a bridge , only Tinubu's bridge can ensure peace in Nigeria, as a true Democrat that he is . Let's give it up for our next president
The North never forgets

Slynation:
what are you even saying, APC that was formed yesterday, and you expect a presidential candidate of the biggest party in Nigeria to step down because one senile old Emilo Kan says so...!!

It's a political statement, he's not really talking to Atiku but Northerners . Listen to Shettima's closing speech. Tinubu happens to be the most pan Nigerian nationalist in this election.

Tinubu is not confident of winning in 2023 grin

No wonder his Nairaland supporters are doing everything possible to get Peter Obi out of the way through lies and blackmail but, Obi is coming.

Step down for you so both of you can join together and loot Nigeria?

People, I hope you are now seeing how so afraid of us they truly are when we awaken and decide to plot our own future and destiny.

Tinubu is desperate . And I don't know why this sick old man wants to run for president irrespective of the fact that his age and health have already been compromise by drug addiction and amnesia undecided

Jagaban is a political maestro who knows the right button to press at the right time.

Just like the Emi lokan last minutes speech changed the political defeat to victory during the APC primary, so also this sucker punch will deliver the message into the conscience of northern politicians to see the sacrifice Tinubu has made for Nigerians especially the north through his support for ingrate Tambuwa, Atiku, Buhari, and Ribadu.

As we await the payback vote from our northern brothers who will not betray this good gesture, let Peter Obi and his disobedient children reap the fruit of the hatred, abuse, and insult they have beeing dishing out to other regions

Meanwhile, I can see the incoherent and insulting words of Obidients who are craving for likes and shares, and I asked, is it this jargon that is going to attract the likes and shares you crave for?

God has a plan for Nigeria and these two I believe are not suitable for that seat.
