I already posted what Alice Walker said in her own words about the differences between the two ideologies to buttress my point. And everything you keep spouting are just things you just googled, and other things "zexten" alluded to. Womanism can be what purple is to black feminism's Lavender, however, that doesn't negate the fact the nuances between the two. Just as black consciousness can be what purple is to Afrocentrism's lavender, but that doesn't negate the differences between the two ideologies.

It seems comprehension isn't your forte. Her definition clearly stated that a womanist is: "Committed to survival and wholeness of entire people, male and female. Not a separatist, except periodically, for health."

This is just self-explanatory since (Black) Feminism is more female oriented, while womanism is more family oriented, and it encompasses both male and female struggles. And not involved in separatism like feminism does. Those are in her words, not mine - and that was what the excerpts I posted alluded to. The only similarities between the two are: they both recognise the African roots of their struggles, and they also involve rectifying sexist attitudes.

However, since you asserted that you don't subscribe to neither - and you are just a generic feminist. I decided to go further by explaining the difference between feminism and womanism, and I asked you why you are embracing an European ideology, and not the African one.

That is just pretty much straight-forward to anyone who can read. You just keep letting your emotions get the best of you, because of this mantra about not allowing a guy best you at anything. You need to allow it. And this is basically why I don't like engaging you.
