I am a redeemer. The case of RCCG will be worst than that of CAC if he dies. So many branches of the church have been converted to personal parishes as a result of marginalisation from some ethnic groups in the church.

I once asked they shud give me the first five leaders of the church. What I noticed was that they are from same ethnic group. Does it mean they own the church? Does it mean they are more holy than the rest? So many questions...
Am coming back.

@OP, why did u say u are not wishing pastor Adeboye death? See whether u wished him o or not, one day he will sleep and will not wake up again...even me too. Na those old days dey tell us say pple dey disappear like Enoch, but now if u disappear now and nobody see u, that's kidnapping and probably u must have been killed somewhere.

Chukwutobi:
Reason Pastor E. A. Adeboye Should Handover Now!

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has expanded greatly and it is still expanding. This tremendous growth has made it one of the richest churches in Africa(it may even be the richest). It has a large number of pastors with the head as Pastor E. A. Adeboye.

The problem is some (if not many) are position covetous. It will surprise you the things these pastors use to canvass for position. They give gifts that do not come from their heart to senior pastors and show fake 'submissiveness'.

If Pastor Adeboye dies without putting his successor in the general overseer position, there will be a big problem. This problem will be similar to that of Christ Apostolic Church(CAC) of Apostle Ayodele Babalola. Despite how prayerful the man was, the events that followed his death were strange as pastors at a time used charms against themselves in the name of fighting for position. The factions of CAC now are many and the church lacks unity even till now.

The reason for my opinion now is death can come anytime. I'm not wishing Pastor Adeboye death o. What I'm saying is Apostle Babalola death came without notice. He had just prepared for a crusade and decided to sleep than he died. Also the recent death of Pastor Sadela (oldest man on pulpit) is a sign. A man that claimed God told him he will live up to 200 years died suddenly.

Anyway it is my opinion and this may be disregarded if God leads him not to handover now.

And you suppose the handover will not raise issues in his lifetime if it could at his death
My dear, this is the work of God,it is not a political party
Don't worry about this,God will take care of things
If the Church divides at his home calling,it is not necessarily a bad thing always
Sometimes Paul and Barnabas have to be separated ,for the furtherance of the gospel
Long life to Pa Adeboye

I dnt knw d intention of d op but this thread is useless. Ur contributions here won't affect what the man of God or the mission will do so why cause ppl to jst make idle comments abt d pastor and d church. U shud knw dat:
1. Death is not a function of age
2. RCCG is not "the church of Nigeria", neither is it a political party. So d mission doesn't nid d general Nigerian citizens to teach her hw to run.
3. The founder handed over to Pastor Adeboye and he in turn will act according to God's will (if u wanna knw how he'll do dat, go nd ask him. Not me).
So, please, let sleeping dogs lie. We are not d church council.

I totally understand why you think the pictures are not from Mubi, it is very hard and shocking to believe that this is the same Nigeria you live in. Well, it could be you and your family next, then you will believe. For now vote back GEJ ok?

Why?

Because he sets up parishes and keeps them under the HQ, telling them to remit revenues to the HQ. Tell me that is not political setup or how such is practiced in the body of Christ by the Apostles. grin

Talk of a child. Son, when it comes to leadership, it is political, whether in the church or anywhere else..... There's no leaving it to God and there is no such thing as God is in control. If things are not well spent out, there is bound to be trouble..... A very big one.

The way many so call "Pastors in Gospel Church" behave nowadays will make me to support the OP. Anybody that is old enough and know the history of Christ Apostolic Church vis-a-vis the leadership tussles that befell the church will reason with OP.

Apostle ayodele babalola wasn't the general overseer, he was simply an evangelist till his death.. His death was not the cause of cac crises!
And for your information, cac has no general overseer..
Get your fact right!

This is scripture,Paul collected offering for remission to Jerusalem for the work of God
Be very careful when you pass judgement without knowledge of scripture
Read below

1 cor 16 vs 1-4

Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.
