Daddy said the person who would take over from him is still in the beer parlour. The God that put adeboye in that position will sort out His church simply not adeboye.

Because he sets up parishes and keeps them under the HQ, telling them to remit revenues to the HQ. Tell me that is not political setup or how such is practiced in the body of Christ by the Apostles. grin
Well, that's how the church is supposed to be run na. The remittance to d HQ is for support and opening new parishes (evangelism). Unless d HQ is not doing that.

You are right sir! Paul held the churches accountable to their doctrines, not their money. Preach Christ, he told them but he didn't set up a structure to control their money. Where that is practiced today, it is out of apostolic order.
Yes, Paul raised offerings for the Judean Christians due to a crisis situation they had and took the money back to Jerusalem from gentile churches but he didn't institute a scheme to collect funds from the churches. They gave to him as they purposed in their hearts. No compulsion, no 10% mandatory collection etc. Just freewill donations

Good to hear from you brother. It's been a long time. I'm doing really good.

One of our greatest challenges is with the our brethren who had been wrongly taught but never questioned what they were taught. This is the problem with today's church. The word never told us to lord over the sheep of God and rccg leadership is doing the exact opposite to the words of the Master

Where did you learn that's how church is supposed to be run? From the Apostles or the early church? grin

Great to reconnect with you brother.

I agree. Something that intrigues me about church is that people can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. So let those who defend politiking continue to do so. The counsel of God - it shall stand.
Keep up the good work brother.

OMG! Those pictures really sent cold chills down my spine! Life is not fair! I am close to tears! I am deeply touched down to my bone marrows!
.
What kind of life is one in which while you are struggling for survival on one hand, your life is on a 50-50 chance on the other hand?
.
Terrorism has come to be a source of great worry to mankind! The world gets worse by the day! A very gross picture that has refused to escape my imagination is the recent decapitation of around 31 Boko-Haram members by CJTF and bringing their heads hung on sticks to be shown to the public for motivation!
.
I was indecisive on whether to support that act or not! It was terrible an act! Some of the newly captured young men may be among the victims, however, it is an act in the right direction to some extent! Bottom Line: The act may be stepping on Boko-Haram's tail engendering intensified attacks, and the circle goes round and round!
.
Lord have mercy on mankind OR just help us and fold the world up once and for all!

Workers of iniquity
Matthew 21: 12

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. 13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER'; but you are making it a ROBBERS' DEN.

Some non-Christian Nairalanders may use the OP's post (and other 2014's unfortunate occurences dealt on Christendom) as an avenue to make the Christian faith a laughing stock! DON'T!
.
The scripture remains the same! And any clergyman/woman would preach it as it is to the adherents! It is "do as I say (preach) and not as I do."
.
Events in the contemporary churches are mind-boggling! From corruption to politicized supposed clergymen/women, and even cases of doing the opposite of things preached by the clergy etc.

Even while the leader is alive, they're wishing him dead so they could take over.
This problem also comes with expansion, many big churches today are being brought to ridicule because of the activity of the branches. in my local assembly here it's happening because of worldliness nd never for the interest or salvation of the people.
so i agree with you that before the leaders pass on, they should put their houses/churches in order.
sudden problems don't just arise, they must have being showing signs before it fully manifest

Funny,...and why r u so sure that anyone he hands over to may not die before him?? Just saying...s
o let God do it d way He chooses

Churches that got divided after the death of their leaders were stronger when the leaders were alive. You can't trust humans. They can turn out to become something else after the death of their leaders.

Pastor Adeboye is not the founder of RCCG, as God led the Founder, Pa Akindayomi to anoint Pastor Adeboye as His Successor, so shall God tell Pastor Adeboye when it's time. Please, poster mind your Business.

Chukwutobi:
Reason Pastor E. A. Adeboye Should Handover Now!

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has expanded greatly and it is still expanding. This tremendous growth has made it one of the richest churches in Africa(it may even be the richest). It has a large number of pastors with the head as Pastor E. A. Adeboye.

The problem is some (if not many) are position covetous. It will surprise you the things these pastors use to canvass for position. They give gifts that do not come from their heart to senior pastors and show fake 'submissiveness'.

If Pastor Adeboye dies without putting his successor in the general overseer position, there will be a big problem. This problem will be similar to that of Christ Apostolic Church(CAC) of Apostle Ayodele Babalola. Despite how prayerful the man was, the events that followed his death were strange as pastors at a time used charms against themselves in the name of fighting for position. The factions of CAC now are many and the church lacks unity even till now.

The reason for my opinion now is death can come anytime. I'm not wishing Pastor Adeboye death o. What I'm saying is Apostle Babalola death came without notice. He had just prepared for a crusade and decided to sleep than he died. Also the recent death of Pastor Sadela (oldest man on pulpit) is a sign. A man that claimed God told him he will live up to 200 years died suddenly.

Anyway it is my opinion and this may be disregarded if God leads him not to handover now.
I think you should know that he z a man of God, and every step he takes, God asked him to, he can't just wake up n be putting some1 as successor! He won't do what God has not told him to do! Thank you ! Thats how Men of God operate, thanks for ur concern!
