Please i really need you to know this,i converted my dodge caravan to Toyota 4s engine, they just joined the exhaust pipe direct to the engine,no catalyse converter,no 02 sensor,no air filter.now i cant even accelerate while driving, it will do as if it want to off, doing as if am driving without fuel,it cant raise to the full, climbing hill is war,i can only raive the engine if on stationary not while driving.i bought a new fuel pump, now the mechanic is saying that the way toyota breath air is different from how dodge breaths.please is there any thing i can do,they engine starts normal, but immediately i press accelerator it will start misbehaving i have to tarp it small to pick.

KC007, you may need to have the catalyst checked for deterioration or damage.
For some audis though, if you change the cat, you may need to reprogram the ecm before the light will go off permanently.

Thanks for your response. Do you have idea of the cost of the cat & where it can be sourced if it happens to be bad?

Oniconx, I am almost certain I have responded to your issue a month ago.
You do not need a spacer.
If you search I am sure you will find where I gave you the solution to this.

@ nissparts, can I get a thermostat to buy off you, mine's has failed and I am currently Tstat less. Also, my catalytic converters were gutted out sometime ago and all these seem to have a negative impact on my SUV. Is there a way round this; I also have oil leakage around the front seals and I see oil in my exhaust, although no smoke from the e-chamber. This is a cause for worry as my montero lacks the normal aggresive power.

These pictures will provide a proper illustration of how ignorance for you as a car owner and on the part of your mechanic can ruin your vehicles.

The pictures show how metal shavings and wires were used to replace a catalytic converter element thereby worsening a bad situation and causing unnecessary risks to the lifespan of an engine.

As expected the engine's exhaust could not breathe, the car struggled to accelerate and of course our dear 0420 and 0430 codes were present.

Good Day,

I have an issue with my car Honda Accord 2007 v6 engine and recently it's been consuming more fuel but prior to that the check sign has been on initially it said check fuel cap and stopped so I did a scan and it said something about bank 2 catalyst which I didn't understand.

What do you advise? I'm thinking of changing it and if so, can I get a good one around?

Thanks
Re: Explaining Catalysts And Catalyst Codes by nissparts(m): 11:48pm On Jul 03, 2014
The code in itself does not automatically signify time to change the catalyst especially if you have other codes.
Maybe you should bring it over first
