How exactly? If he took out a knife and stabbed her then yes. Was he to measure the level of force his hand was to dash out, no, it is impossible to measure the force your hand will release when you believe you are in danger. His reaction was not over the top. He did what a reasonable man would do in that situation which was to see whether he can remove himself from the situation which this man found and did but as he was doing so he got attacked from the back and he defended himself. The girl took her bag and hit his head who knew what was in that bag or how fragile the guy's head was. I know the slightest pressure on my head can cause me nasty headaches. He also had other individuals attacking him. He had to defend himself and he did that reasonably.
if I slap you and you slap me back, you can get away with self-defence but when it turns out into a mini WWE smackdown it becomes public violence. I believe there are other innocent passengers who were hurt and affected during the fight, don't only look at those that were part of the fight. That's why I said its not a wise idea to sue anyone, we will be sinking his own ship if he does that. Not only was there contributory fault of his part, his actions also constitute a criminal offence

feminists promote gender equality not domestic violence. consult whoever gave you the definition of feminism again

How can you have gender equality when one gender cannot piss into a bottle without spillage.

So if Al Queda uses the muslim religion as an accuse for their terrorist attacks, does that that makes all muslims terrorists?
They will always be people who are not feminists who will hide behind the ideology of feminism to justify their violent behaviour, and that will not make them feminists in anyway.
if you know the purpose of the movement you would be able to tell what forms part of the ideology and what doesn't.

no, this isn't about al-qaeda....
this is about the pioneers of feminism. erin prizzey started the first shelter in the whole of europe for abused women.

her sin? making a statement that women abuse men as much as men abuse women. feminists turned against her.. they made bomb threats, threats to kill her family. when they couldn't get to her, her dog was killed.

today, the shelter she founded denies her entry. her name was even removed from their history book. she had to go on exile when the bomb squad advised her that all her mails should directed to their headquarters.

feminism & violence go hand in hand.....

The public violence wasn't the man's fault.

He got hit with shoes by Shequina.
He retaliated with a slap and rightly so. He then paused. He didn't go beyond that.

That was when captain-save-a-hóe( Shequina's friend in black jacket) jumped in to "defend" shequina. Not only that, Shequina's females friends also jumped in to defend her. At this point, the man had to defend himself, so he decided to handle his match (captain-save-a-hóe).

So, how is any of this the man's fault and why should he get in any trouble with the law? You should probably watch the video again. The man got jumped by 4 people!

if you can prove that innocent passengers were not hurt or affected while he was "defending" himself then only then can you say that he wasn't at fault. It became public violence when his actions took place in a public space and adversely effected other members of the public (other passengers) who had nothing to do with attack.

innocent passengers getting hurt in the melee was the girl's fault. she started being physical with him. her verbal abuse went on for more than 2 minutes & the dude didn't even flinch.

he was walking away from the situation when he got hit by the girl. he retaliated in self defence. america has a stand your ground policy - the number of people that got hurt or affected is irrelevant. the dude stood his ground!

this would be a bad idea because the way he retaliated caused more damage than necessary. All they just have to do is pray and hope that they both won't be charged with a criminal offence, if the video gets in the hands of the authorities best believe me they will have a party with both of them.

First you said he'll get in trouble for the way he retaliated; the slap was too hard.

now you're saying it was a public space.

Anything to sha get the man in trouble because he's a man? I tire for you feminists o. grin

So if 4 people are jumping me in a public space, I shouldn't defend myself because it's public? How is it my fault that they jumped me in public?

If it was a girl that was getting jumped by 4 people, and she defended herself, the last thing you'll think about is "public space".

Btw, no one in the public space was hurt.

he won't get into any inch of trouble. the law is clear on what to do in such cases in america.

In the United States, stand-your-ground law states that an individual has no duty to retreat from any place they have lawful right to be and may use any level of force, including lethal, if they reasonably believe they face an imminent and immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death.

the dude simply exercised his rights. getting whacked with skating shoes to the head could lead to concussion - serious bodily harm. the dude then used the appropriate level of force to stop his attacker.

I never disputed that the girl is at fault too, I even said in my first post that they are BOTH AT FAULT.

well the guy did call her a b*tch and even though he didn't insult her as much as she did, he still did verbally abuse her too by making use of that one word. it only requires you to make one statement for it to be called verbal abuse.

he was walking away from the situation when he got hit by the girl. he retaliated in self defence. america has a stand your ground policy - the number of people that got hurt or affected is irrelevant. the dude stood his ground!
well if the number of people affected is irrelevant phrases like 'public violence','genocide' and 'terrorism' wouldn't exist. its not public violence because he hit her back, like I said it became public violence when other people who had nothing to do with the fight were involved.

That's the reason why if you engage in a fight at a nightclub, all of you will be locked up regardless of who threw the first punch.

Stop bringing in irrelevant points into the case. We are speaking on what we see in the video. All the people who got hit were those who jumped on him. Those are the facts as we see them. This isn't about even getting damages/remedies but females being charged for assault.
I don't know where you live but here is the statement made by a judge(Lord morris) in the UK in the case of (palmer) 1971,
If there has been an attack so that defence is reasonably necessary it will be recognised that a person defending himself cannot weigh to a nicety the exact measure of his necessary defensive action. If a Jury thought that in a moment of unexpected anguish a person attacked had only done what he honestly and instinctively thought was necessary that would be most potent evidence that only reasonable defensive action had been taken
Again, He tried removing himself from the situation, The guy was not in her face or behaving in a threatening manner that required her to lash out. He did what would have been instinctively necessary in a moment like that.

the word "bïtch" is no longer an insult....
I checked in the English dictionary and it is still defined as, " an offensive way of reffering to a woman, especially in an unpleasant way."

he hit her back in self defence. the state of new york permits the defender to fight back and use any level of force. he got whacked in the head & he musta felt his life was in danger. his safety was the top priority at that moment, not the other passengers.
self defence and private defence are a ground of justification in hundreds of other countries all over the world too not just the state of New York. And in all these countries and states that have self defence and private defence as a ground of justification they come with limitations too smiley

I'm sure you remember the other incident where a Cleveland bus driver sucker-punched a lady after she spit on his face. do tell me why he was charged with assault, even though he wasn't the one who started the attack? undecided CCTV will not help you if you assault affects or hurts other people in the club who are not part of your fight, stop lying. Crimes deal with the public interests and not just individual interests.

let me give you another example if I pay you to kill someone and you succeed. we will both be charged with murder (despite the fact that I wasn't the one who actually killed the person) because I had influence on the commission of the crime. that's all it takes
