I saw that video. Frankly as a black man you have to be cautious when dealing with the police in America. Charles Barkley even spoke about it in an interview recently. Many African Americans are involved in violent crimes against society and the police and are also facing some form of profiling. Obviously the two issues are connected and have to be addressed.

It's because of the way you conducted yourself well that nothing happened to you. Some people instead react violently with the police in America and end up dead not realizing that American police are armed to the teeth and will not hesitate to use it if they feel threatened.

no charges, nothing. and i totally did nothing. i didn't even argue. and they were like 5 cops, light all flashing weapon drawn like i was an armed robber. yea i made a report, followed it up but i later backed down because nothing came out of it.

My former landlord also threaten to kill me, I reported to the police, guess what happened? they turned the case against me, and threaten to jail me. from that day onward, i refuse to have white friends. work friends end at work, school friends end in the school.

Same here. It has more to do with socioeconomic prejudice IMO than simple racism. Though it can play a factor, of course, depending on the individual. All these sound like middle-class stuff. I started crying when I got my first speeding ticket (I've only had 3! ) and the guy smiled and let me go. I've only ever encountered white cops. They always act fatherly towards me. Well, on the other hand, it's different for women. I dunno.

Many years ago I left a club after having a few drinks. I got lit up by two CHP motorbike chicks.

They basically asked me where I was coming from and I never lied, how many drinks, etc. They told me that if I can't drive straight to get off their freeway and take side streets and they left.

Are there bad Cops? of course there are as in any profession but they are few and far in between.
