Hello gurus in the house, I throway hailings.

I intend using my Zenith bank debit MasterCard for my visa application payment in the coming days. Is there anyone who has used this card for visa payments before and what are the charges...?

BTW, I got a securecode with it.

Thanks.
Haven't used zenith bank but all Mastercards are accepted. As you got secure code, pay directly through Mastercard gateway, it is cheaper and no extra charges

Yeah u have a point there but not all school does that!...u will be surprised if he/she calls the school to explain his/her situation, they can give alternative or better advice. u never know till u try!....Its better than doing nothing/to wait for his/her visa approval.
Quite true cool

@all

Today is 2 weeks I applied which is 10 working days. I am not really happy and wondering why the delay. Is there anyone with this type of experience?. I am just disorganized waiting for the outcome and a lot of my activities are on hold.

The thing is, when I first applied for visa in Nigeria, I was sponsored thru scholarship so there was no need for my bank statement so I supplied my Nigeria home address.
When I applied for my BRP in UK, there was no need for me to put my Nigeria home address or my Nigeria bank statement (I used uk bank statement).
But now, I am applying for my family and am stated we live together and the addresses on my first visa application, this current online form and marriage affidavit are all same.
However, upon printing my Nigeria bank statement, I noticed the address on the statement was wrong (having variations even from the proof of address I have them).
Also, I am yet to submit my online application.
Should I change the online application form address to reflect what's on the bank statement or leave everything as is?

That will sort it out to avoid any suspicion, so yea do that if you can.

@ justwise and spikesc

I forgot to pay for courier service at the VAC.
Can I pay online? Has anyone done it before?
Or do I have to come back to Abj when it's ready for collection?

It doesn't make much of a difference, you can pick up your package yourself when its ready.

Hello House. Thanks all for the information provided on this topic. Just a quick question.
1) I am going for a masters and my father is the sponsor. I do have a birth certificate but it has only initials of parents and its the old birth certificate type. Not notarized and not from NPC. Can this be used?

Initials without their last names in full?

The last name is in full. Only the first names. Like A.O instead of the full names.

I graduated from high school in 2009. from that time till today, I entered into workforce at one company in my area, thereby having 5yr gap. Did that make me to be an unserious student as a result decrease my chances of getting visa?

Hello, are you the tetfund sponsored student? if you are, the official letter you received from your university is enough. The one addressed to you. All the best.

Excellent. Thank you ma.

I called the Zenith bank cc number yesterday, I spoke to a certain Lawal, who took time to explain things just as you have here. He had good understanding of the visa payment process, contrary to my earlier thoughts.

Thanks once again.

Hello, are you the tetfund sponsored student? if you are, the official letter you received from your university is enough. The one addressed to you. All the best.
Salam KemKem. Eku otutu, hope you are settling down well. Yes I am the one. My University only wrote the total amount awarded in naira on the letter. That's why I am thinking of getting another letter from them, addressed to the Ukba stating the amount for tuition and maintenance.
Another quick question, the length of my studies is 4years, though I'm only to register and pay full tuition for 3years. The 4th year is for writing up my thesis. However the award letter from my university states that the tetfund sponsorship is for 3years. Did you encounter such, and will it be a problem?
Thanks

wa alaekun salam, but for the otutu and expensive childcare we are settling fine. okay if you have such a letter but i used only the one addressed to me and it had total amount in naira.
same appplies to me, you are not paying tuition fees for the fourth year. you will still get 4 years 4 month visa.

@justwise, I still need the address. The award letter from my school to me does not state the exact amount for tuition and maintenance. It Only states the total amount awarded for the three years and a statement that it'll be disbursed annually in three equal instalments. So I want them to issue another letter stating the money for tuition and maintenance and preferably addressed to the ukba. Thanks

i kept the tetfund money in my account for 28days as advised here to be on the safe side. and i still submitted the award letter. Maybe someone else can give you better advice on that.

Will the yearly instalment cover your fees and maintenance money?

They don't need to address a separate letter to BHC, the scholarship letter is enough.

Then that is what matters, they don't need to break it down.

Yes, it will cover for the fees and maintenance. I intend asking them to state the annual tuition fees and state that the balance is for maintenance (even though the balance is in excess of the £820 X 9months required). Will it also be OK if I apply as a Tier 4(General) (Sponsored) Student. I wouldn't be able to wait for the 28 days as I'm to resume by 1st Feb.
Thanks
