I don't think the 511,000 population of Onitsha is confined to the 36.19 square km of "Onitsha proper". We're also talking about Obosi, Nkpor etc. I think Manchester here refers to the Manchester Metropolitan Area.

I don't think onitsha metro is well defined in that case because development is still spreading. Onitsha metro according to same source (wikipedia) has a little over 1million population as at 2001(13yrs ago).

Weldone Chino, I'm not in town I would have assisted you, I can wait for our malls and Ogbunike cave project to be ready. we have some thing like this at Nkpor well built, although Cele church were messing the pool up then, I don't know how the pool look now, God really blessed our land, commissioner of tourism should try and focus on those sites.

A stream in Umudioka. The water rushing down from the stone is in its purest form, we used to fetch it as kids back then. I did not snap other different sections- where we swim, do laundry and the where we wash bitter leaves. Now borehole is everywhere and only very few people living close go to the stream, and it's kinda neglected now.

Okay! The Umudioka stream is not bad, all it needs is dredging and expansion then is will be bigger in size..

Okay! The Umudioka stream is not bad, all it needs it dredging and expansion then is will be bigger in size..

Exactly, the height of the waterfall used to be about 8 feet back then. Now you can see a 5ft kid can even decide to plug the hole. It needs serious dredging. I remember how breathtaking and serene it used to be when there was a village by village rooster for its maintenance.
