Good morning El Paso peeps. Please how's the weather condition there? Asides, jacket/coat, is it necessary to come along with head warmer, hand gloves, socks, boots and all that. Kindly advise please.

Oga justwise, i agree wt @PrinceAde, FavordB...... Imagine if from the start of this thread people have been sharing info through PMs, the thread would have been dead by now. It is agents (and maybe a few private doctors) that benefit from whatever popularity you are talking about.

And for hospitals reviewing prices because of popularity gotten from this thread, understand that different hospital increase prices based on different reasons. I would use MIHS as a case study cos i had my baby there during the MIHS boom days.

MIHS did not increase their price because of Nigerians influx. Infact, we Nigerians did not constitute up to 3% of their clientele base. MIHS is a county hospital supported by the state government. I understand the price increase was because their grants and allocation from the government was reduced and they had to rump up income to survive. Even before the Nigerians influx, they always had the resident and non-resident package. Yes, the increase for the non-resident pack was higher; and i think it is only logical to favor residents more (as residents pay the taxes used to develop the state); remember its a county hospital.

Honestly i benefitted immensely frm this thread o (about 8k dollars in savings is not beans money). I ended up having a successful VBAC too against my original plan of CS. I have even referred pple to this thread and its been the same testimony cool

So Oga justwise, kool down for us ehn wink find comfort in d fact that we nlanders benefit from this thread wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than the agents do cheesy Stakeholder profiling is important in business o. No worry, if u want we go dey pay tithe to Seun to support the ministry grin grin
U are doing a gooooood job BTW

Thanks. What is the whole deal about paying b4 24 weeks? Does it mean I must pay full doctor's bill b4 she accepts me or sends a letter of med responsibility? Also I don't see any pediatrician fees on the bills.

Sharing info and marketing are not the same, there are a lot info here already and people are allowed to keep doing the same but marketing directly or indirectly will be frowned at.

Thanks sis for speaking up and you are part of those I referred to in my earlier write up that have benefited and want to give back to the community but are restricted and you are on spot on the PM avenue which does not work

For instance, I have sent some hospitals tons of mail to no avail and even called their advertised contact line which no one answers and this has been the experience of some on the forum for certain hospitals as has been shared in times past so I wonder why cant someone give the same info I am trying to get so that one can plan and prepare before effectively before travel. Imagine 8k savings cannot be derived just like that from google search o as suggested by our OGA AT THE TOP. No be beans
Also on the concern he has on hospitals charging for letter of medical responsibility .My take is why not ,maybe the charge is over the top but they reserve the right to do so as that in itself is a service. You may as well just pay and get evidence of payment and not letter of responsibility or go to docs such a certain dr in richmond tells you he dosent give either appointment nor such letter even at a fee coz he needs to review you before he takes you on.Note that it is a risk even on their part as it could cause legal issues for them. Note that even when you pay and don't use the doctor, they charge you a reasonable service fee for refunds to you which is quite high also.

If it was my business,I wouldn't give such letters coz of the associated legal risks and if I did, I would charge a service fee as it takes an employee time to process this and they possibly print and then email the scan or fax to you. This resources cost money and they dont have assurance that you would be using them at that point. Imagine I paid 10K for docs report /fit to fly here in a reputable hospital in nigga here and we can accuse US hospitals for charging service fees for a similar one page letter. BEFORE WE THROW STONES,LETS LOOK AT FACTS ALSO

I dont support the hospitals as i would even love to get the whole service free of charge but I am a man of reason and great men and leaders in the world(past, present or future) are men of reason and don't conclude nor act based on sentiments

Then please you guys don't eat me raw for this ooo but when your opinion is disagreed with, no need to sound so irritated about it. No matter how sensible what you have said is, there are way too many people here and no one is obliged to accept your opinion. No need to sound like a know-it-all or be condescending. [/quote]

You took the words right out of my mouth......cheers

Didn't want to get into this argument but Justwise I m trying to figure out what the issue is? Is it that u think Naira Land is loosing revenue it will make from advertisement from all the info being shared on this tread if they can't share such info Wat kind of discussions do u think will happen here maybe we will start discussing things like people asking too much baby questions n compression sock? I understand people that don't want to keep replying emails n PM believe me no pregnant woman has time for that.

Also I know a lot of preggy women that go to the USA to ve kids n believe me 90% of them don't know about this thread so I don't think this thread is d reason for the price increments d only doc.i read online for reviews of most doc discussed here believe it or not most of their patients are Asians n Mexicans .only about 10% of patients will be from Nigeria or n 5% from Nairaland and believe me.

Sharing Info on Doc n other stuffs just make it easier for some people to compare prices and weight different options. U DOING A FAB JOB BUT PLS RELAX N DON'T KILL THE THREAD COS IT'S GETTING BORING FOR ME ALREADY.
