Nigeria is already being laughed at in the international community. If Boko Haram is still as active as it is now a week before March 28, then the government and our military would have succeeded in rubbishing whatever is left of their credibility.

Actually, I believe they will achieve reasonable success within this 6 weeks. Why? Because they can actually fight and eradicte BH IF THEY REALLY WANT TO. The Nigerian army is powerful enough to do this if given the right morale, weapons etc.
This shows that they would have been able to eradicate BH aeons ago if they really wanted to. Now that they know Nigerians mean business, they are sitting up. Honestly I give my respect to APC for shaking PDP to their very foundation. There's already change in the air as politicians are now getting more serious.

I've always believed that the reign of bokoharam is political.

Mark my words "in this special six weeks" bokoharam would be defeated and there will be jubilation in the land(Nigeria).

I remember having an argument sometime in september last year on this "tape" playing out just before the elections.

*6 weeks of local and international watch
*6 weeks of suspense.
*6 weeks of victory for the Nigerian Army.

A result the present govt couldn't achieve in 6years wld be achieved in 6weeks.

Notwithstanding, I pledge my utmost support for the present govt come march 28.

The devil I know is better than the angel I don't know.

The problem with Nigeria is YOU. Yes YOU.

Day 3: No evidence of massive deployment of soldiers and hardware to the NE (remember 70,000 soldiers were deployed for Ekiti election recently).
No serious air recon excercise reported
No special units inserted behind Boko Haram strongholds/lines
No arrests made, no insurgent captured
No news about the missing girls
Nothing Nothing.

We are watching.

in the end, the elections will still hold;

everyone should rather concentrate on supporting the

govt and army on this present fight against BH

BH is the common enemy not APC or PDP

In this respect I want to believe that APC is the common enemy, because they are the ones instigating the terrorists and giving moral justification to their dastardly acts

May God bless you... In fact he even discarded their atrocities by saying in one of his perpetual interviews "what's Boko Haram"

AU just recently agreed a joint military action against boko haram, is it PDP that influenced that decision just made?
Chad, Niger and Cameroonian forces have just stepped up their battle against the insurgence, question is why is it now close to d elections that they've decided to do this? My bet is they have their problems n did not c BH as a priority but have had a rethink BC of increased BH attacks in their region.
If d election is to be held on d 14th, d boko haram forces chased out of chad, Niger n Cameroon border towns will have a safe haven in nigeria, so its just logical to bombard them from the Nigerian side concurrently so they'll be crushed once and for all- its logically a security strategy to go on d offensive now.

At least someone have a brain to decipher the reason for this postponement. Thanks

Day 4

Nigerian Troops Enter Sambisa Forest to Hunt Boko Haram Members

A detachment of the Nigerian military has stormed the Sambisa Forest in Borno State to dislodge members of the violent sect, Boko Haram, who are believed to have used the forest as their stronghold, from where they unleash their terrorist activities.

Sambisa Forest was once believed to be the most feared hideout of the militants, where over 200 schoolgirls, who were abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, on April 14, 2014, were held captive.

Military sources told our correspondent on Wednesday that “troops have commenced a major operation in Sambisa to clean the forest of terrorists.”

Boko Haram are beginning to come under pressure but it is obvious from reports that they are launching counter-attacks that more needs to be done especially in terms of proactive attacks against them in their bases.

Days 6 and 7

Aftermath of the directive that the military embark on the final onslaught to flush out Boko Haram terrorists from the North East and try to rescue the over 200 Chibok Girls, Special Forces of the Nigerian military backed by attack aircraft of the Nigerian Air force, Thursday night commenced their movement into the Sambisa Forests.

As a result of the military’s movement into the terrorists laden forest, Vanguard gathered that recently acquired latest T 55 armoured personnel carriers, with capability for mine and explosives sweeping devices and heavy artillery Howitzer guns, led the way from the ground while the air force carried out air bombardments from the air.

Consequently, military sources in the epicentre of the operation told Vanguard that six buffer camps of the terrorists manned by heavily armed terrorists, which were positioned to stop the Nigerian military for gaining entrance into the forest were taken out and scores of Boko Haram fighters killed.

Hmm.
BH is at it again in Gombe.
My frnds just told me that the town is now upside down.
Banks have hurriedly closed, schools too, shops etc.

That BH have attacked d town again.

Also I heard a rumour in the air that "dankwambo said gombe is peaceful and elections can hold" the following day was when BH struck!

May Allah guide and protect us and bring this rascals to order.

Ameen.
Please pray for Gombe and every other state that is affected.

If we can't go into the field and fight back. The best we can do is pray...

Day 10 wasn't so eventful.

Today is Day 11 and Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has released a video promising to attack during elections thereby seemingly casting doubt on the objective of the federal government to hold elections peacefully in the Northeast.

Nigerian forces have killed more than 300 Boko Haram fighters during an operation to recapture 11 towns and villages since the start of the week, the military said on Wednesday, as regional neighbours also pounded the militants.

"Weapons and equipment were also captured and some destroyed," defence spokesman Major-General Chris Olukolade said in a statement. "However, two soldiers lost their lives while 10 others were wounded," he added.
