please where in Lagos do u stay?....when i switch on my laptop Hp g2 255 windows 8.1 it keeps saying ''hard drive not found,install a bootable device''..i tried installing windows vista from a blank screen because i cannot get to my menu,though it started installing but it got to a place and said ''no driver available to install somtin somtin sha''.....have opened one BIOT screen like that,have clickd all clickables,all to no avail.....please what can i do?..plss help out..thanx alot

Do you have a windows 8 bootable cd? That's what you should use, not vista cd

You can install another windows 8 os without wiping off your files.

Hello house. Please my friends hp mini laptop battery drops when not in use. Last night it was fully charged 100%, but I just switched it on few mins ago and the battery meter indicates 95%. What do I do to fix this?

While at that, try these steps
1. Test another RAM
2. Cleanup the internals of the system
3. Apply a new thermal paste to the contact between the heat sink and processor

Look for a key among the function keys with "laptop and screen icon drawn on it"

1.Connect the projector to the system
2.Then press "fn" key + the key mentioned above.
3.A kind of selection window comes up.
4.Continue pressing the combination to select any type of configuration you want.

provided you have connected a good working VGA cable, click the microsoft button, type connect to a projector in the search button, select it any view you want and you are good to go.

Just got me this fairly used sleek Hp envy x2 laptop with
detachable 11.6inch touch screen, which can serve as tablet.
It uses Windows 8 OS. Trouble is when the screen is on the
keyboard dock, the battery charges only up to 54% and no
more. No matter how much longer you charge it, it can't go
beyond 54%. And once it is not connected to power, the
battery drains fast.
However, when the screen is detached and used alone as
tablet the battery charges up to 100% level. It is in-built battery and can't be removed.

How do I troubleshoot and repair this with a software pls? I am desperate.

Your display panel is having fault probably the onboard graphics chipset or card.

Try connecting the system to a projector through vga or to an hd device through hdmi, if it displays in the same like the laptop then your onboard graphics card is bad.

You'll probably have to change your motherboard.

Check the hp battery care, if there is any setting that restricts the charging.

You should start thinking of returning the laptop if it is still under warranty, the earlier the better.
