@Godssent am always pleased whenever you post, keep them coming I sent you a mail. Your story made me remember a fellow TTC sister in my church. Each time she gets pregnant at exactly 8months she will deliver a dead baby thru c/s. This has been her story for the past 4yrs. Last year she got pregnant again at exactly same month she delivered a dead baby thru same c/s,and this time the demon behind her case decided to make her to barren for life. At the process of delivery, she bled so much that the only way to save her was to remove her womb. After every every, the doctors eventually removed her womb, she is alive but with no womb,no child and a problematic husband.

Each time I see her zeal and passion in working for God,I will just ask.....God where are you in all this?

I have told her about servant Vic and. She is willing to go,but she lack the fund. So this time I have made up my mind that if I come accross any unusual money,I will use it and fund her transportation and accommodation down to CCT. I just pray God to help me.

@trendy,you are welcome to this thread, you are next in line for a miracle.

@blessedbeads I will send you a pm right away reply so we can start from there.

“...when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;”
(1 Samuel 30: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the Amalekites attacked Ziklag, the city where David dwelt with his men, wives and children, they came through the south. The south of Ziklag was bordered by Judah. So the attack against David came through Judah. Judah is a Hebrew word that means praise; so, David was attacked through the place of ‘praise’.

Sometimes, the attacks of the enemy come through our places of praise. Sometimes, after praising God for our health, finances, marriage, children, career, business, etc, the enemy arises to cause pain from the places that once gave us joy. After being congratulated and after testifying, the enemy often comes to bring pain, kill our joy and steal our praise.

Friend, God says, every attack on your ‘Judah’ will come to nothing. Any attempt of the enemy to reduce your place of praise to ruins won't succeed. No satanic power will change your praise to pity; no power will turn your laughter to mourning; no power will change your good news to bad news; no attack of the enemy will reduce your congratulations to consolation.

Don’t let the enemy steal your praise, or have the last laugh on anything that has given you joy and gladness; when the enemy gives you cause to mourn, shock him and drive him crazy by praising God more and more, against all odds. Praise God through the good and the bad.

Nothing is enough to steal your praise. Even if your ‘Ziklag’ is burnt, let your ‘Judah’ remain intact. Don’t lose your praise.

Psalm 63 vs. 3 gives an apt reason to praise: “Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.”

Prayer : Lord, no matter what the enemy does, I will still praise; nothing shall steal my praise, in Jesus’ name!Amen
Have A Wonderful Wednesday.

“...when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;” (1 Samuel 30: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture Of Streams Of Joy Devotional today.

In 1 Samuel 27 vs. 8-9, David and his men fought the Amalekites; in our Focal Scripture, while David and his men were away, the Amalekites came back to fight them, and took their wives, children and possessions away. The same people David fought and defeated in the past came back to fight him; the same people he trounced arose and fought back.

Friend, whatever you have ever fought has the capacity to fight back. The challenges you have once defeated can come back to fight you when you least expect it. For every battle you fight and win, the enemy is preparing a repeat battle; for every progress you make, the enemy is not happy, and he will try to fight back to turn your gains to losses. Every ‘Amalek’ you defeat will come back to fight you someday.

The Amalekites came to fight David, and he went after them, fought, defeated them and recovered all that he lost. He didn't allow the Amalekites to have the last laugh. When the battles you previously won arise again, fight again and win again; when the challenges you battled in the past arise again, brace up and fight back; when the things you have prayed against happen, pray again.

Never let any ‘Amalekite’ have the final word in your destiny; never let the enemy have the last laugh. Don’t let any repeat battle be your nemesis.

Fight back with everything you have in you. Don’t let your first victory slow you down; fight back; you will win again.

Prayer : Lord, I will keep fighting, and I will win again and again, in Jesus’ name!Amen
Have A Fabulous Thursday.

“...the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;”
(1 Samuel 30: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture outlines the sequence of the Amalekites' attacks against David and his men. They invaded Ziklag, then they smote the city and finally they burnt the city.

Their invasion culminated in destruction; they may not have started destruction immediately they got to Ziklag, they just came, beat the city, but their ultimate aim was to burn Ziklag.

Friend, hear God’s warning: when the enemy invades your life, his ultimate aim is to destroy you. When the enemy invades your life through the door of sin, he will beat you until he burns everything you have in you. If you allow the enemy to strike your health with sicknesses of known and unknown etiology, look beyond the immediate pains; there is a bigger plan to burn your life.

When the enemy beats your family or marriage with ceaseless squabbles, infidelity, bitterness, etc, be careful, he has a bigger plan to reduce everything you have built in years, to nothing. When the enemy beats your finances with repeated and stubborn challenges that deplete your finances, be careful, you just might be on the highway to lack and poverty.

Every beating of the enemy on your focus, consecration, dedication, relationship with God, prayer life, word study, career, business, relationships, etc will end in destruction. Every attack of the enemy against you, no matter how mild, will end up in reduction, destruction and extinction.

Whatever happens, never let the enemy have an upper hand in your destiny; repel his attacks with prayers and spiritual warfare. Don’t allow the enemy to beat you or prevail over any part of your life; don’t allow the enemy to beat your territory.

Prayer : Lord, I resist every beating from the enemy, in Jesus’ name!amen
Have A Fantastic Friday.

“...when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;”
(1 Samuel 30: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the Amalekites attacked Ziklag and took away the women and children, David and his men were absent. The men of strength were absent from the city, and their city suffered harm. The men of strength were absent, and things went wrong; the men of strength left their homes vulnerable, and enemies attacked.

Friend, if you abandon your zone, the enemy might launch attacks that may haunt you later. If you are a spouse/parent and you are unavailable to provide leadership in your home, the enemy might step in and wreck havoc in your spouse and children. If you are competent but unavailable at your duty post, things might go wrong in your absence. If a system depends on your strength and you abandon it, you are making it vulnerable to collapse.

Today, God says, don’t abandon your home; don’t abandon your spouse, children, siblings, colleagues, etc when they need you; don’t walk away and watch a system that is dependent on you to collapse; don’t allow what God has put in your hands to be vulnerable; don’t abandon your ‘Ziklag’ for enemies to attack and burn.

The Amalekites attacked Ziklag and took the women and children away, and it became the problem of the men who left their homes unattended to. If you have abandoned your home or anything that is under your care, don’t be surprised when you come back to see that the enemy has plundered your habitation and possessions.

Come home to your ‘Ziklag’; come home to the places you abandoned and left vulnerable; come back; don’t stay away.

Prayer : Lord, give me grace and wisdom to go back to the places I have abandoned, in Jesus’ name!Amen
Have A Restful Saturday.

“And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.”
(1 Samuel 30: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the Amalekites attacked Ziklag, they robbed David and his men of their wives and children. Children are the successors of a man; children are the future. If they only took the children, the men could easily come back and have more children with their wives; these Amalekites took away the future of David and his men.

Until today, the enemy wants to truncate our future. The enemy is scared of what you and I will become in future; he is scared of God’s plans for us; he is scared of the deadly blows we will give him if we become strong in Christ; he is scared of the increase that will come to us if we wake up to a new day; he is scared of our future.

Notice that though the women and children were taken away, they were recovered. The future was not lost forever; the future was neither truncated nor buried; the enemies made brutal attempts to truncate the future, but in the end, the future remained intact.

Friend, God says, whatever happens, your future is intact. Nothing can truncate your future; nothing can cut short God’s plans for you; no conspiracy can bury your future; no plan from the pit of hell can destroy your future; no wicked gossip against you can stop what God wants to make happen in your future.

When men work against your future, God will not let them succeed; when they try to pull down your future, they will fail again and again.

Commit your future into the hands of God through prayers and through sacrificial seeds; if your future is in God’s hands, the enemy can't gain access to it. If Jehovah is involved in your future, then your future is intact.

Prayer : Lord, I believe Your word; my future is intact, in Jesus’ name!Amen
Have A Blessed Monday And A Hugely Productive Week.

“And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.”
(1 Samuel 30: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the Amalekites captured the wives and children of David and his men, they took them away towards their own city. David’s wives and children and the wives and children of his men were taken towards the enemy’s direction. The event that played out that day led to movement towards the enemy. David’s ‘future’ moved towards the enemy.

Friend, one sure way to truncate your future is to allow today’s events to push you in the enemy’s direction. One way to mess up your future is to allow today’s experiences to plant negative attitudes in you.

When you allow what happens today to push you into depression, beware, you are truncating your future. When you allow today’s disappointment to push you into counterproductive attitudes, you are preparing grounds for failure and uncommon shame.

Never let one negative experience move you in a negative direction. Never let the wickedness of people against you to elicit hatred and bitterness; never allow yesterday's losses and failures to affect the future; never let what didn't work in your favour in time past to define your attitude towards new opportunities.

If any part of you has gone in the direction of the enemy, retrieve it immediately. Recover your peace of mind, good attitudes, patience, persistence, hope, faith, love, joy, self-control, etc.

If it has gone towards the enemy, take it back before the enemy makes a mess of your destiny.

Proverbs 14 vs. 12 further warns: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Prayer : Lord, I refuse to move in the direction of the enemy; I recover everything in me that has gone in the enemy’s direction, in Jesus’ name!Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...

You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to
make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as when one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the
last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft.

The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter
smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.
However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter.

When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg,or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?
Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and
stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level?

How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best~of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The
brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

You might want to send this message to those people who mean something to you, to those who have touched your life in one way or another, to
those who make you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, to those
whose friendship you appreciate, to those who are so meaningful in your life.

If you don't send it, all that will happen is that you will just miss out on the opportunity to brighten someone's day with this message!

May we all be COFFEE!!!!

“4. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept... 6. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him…” (1 Samuel 30: 4, 6)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When David and his men realized that their wives and children were taken away by the Amalekites, they lifted up their voices and wept. David wept with his men. He was already anointed as the next king of Israel, but he joined his men to act like all hope was lost.

When he joined them to weep, they rose against him and threatened to stone him. He did what everyone did, and they turned against him. David’s destiny was bigger and more profound than that of his men, but he joined the band wagon, and it backfired.

Friend, God says, be different. Don’t do what everyone is doing. When others speak hopelessly, or speak ill of your nation, don’t join them; when others see no future, see a future; when others see no reason to press on, see a reason to press on against all odds. Don’t be misled by the responses of people facing the same challenge as you; your challenges may be same, but your destiny is different.

David was the next king of Israel, and he had no business acting hopelessly before the same men he should lead. A man of destiny does not act like others, and does not allow one bad experience to obliterate a great future; a man who knows his God smiles through the storm, knowing that God is bigger than every storm.

Dare to be different; be a good example to others; even if everyone is acts wrongly, dare to act right; even if everyone is faithless, keep your faith and hope alive; even if your colleagues and contemporaries get involved in wrong doing, don’t join them.

Being positively different may not be fashionable or popular, but it will pay off in a matter of time.

Prayer : Lord, I choose to be different; give me grace to be different, in Jesus’ name!Amen
