With all the comments I have read on this thread, I can only weep for this nation for the fact that most of the said 'leaders of tomorrow' have have lost their common sense of reasoning to politics. Instead of being the solution they're indeed part of the problem.

Only few reason rationally, while many are so free with words to the extent they have forgotten to put reasoning behind every utterance (comment).

Is this the generation of youths our founding fathers paid dearly with their lives for or is it that common sense has lost its place in the minds of most young men?

Don't be silly. Are international observers now APC members? Or did you hear any international observer calling for cancellation of polls in Ogun State or Lagos or any of the northern states.

I wonder how you silly post.
you are just like a common tool in the hands of APC

People sha. They want us to believe wiki has defeated amaechi. Amaechi has done his 8 years and now he's going to form a part of a very powerful federal government. From what we can see pdp won't produce 10 governors out of 36. I pity wike and his fans who are trying to mock amaechi. Lol. The man is a bigger man now. He single handedly fought wike, odili, mbu, secondus, bipi, awuse, sekibo, asari, ateke, patience Jonathan, good luck Jonathan, police, army. Even orubebe came. Yet the lion of ubima is still Standing, he will soon be operating from the seat of power. All rise and hail.

there is nothing criminous about it. APC should leave that state they have lost period

Apc is a political party and have every right to fight for political seats anywhere in the country.
The same way pdp fought and secured ekiti, likewise apc can fight and secure rivers. If not now but in the nearest future.

I am not saying APC will win in Rivers. But why all these irregularities when u can still win on a free and fair ground? Is only in SS that we recorded more than 70% of accredited voters to have cast their votes. The highest in the north that you are claiming underage voters was just 50% in Bauchi, the average in South West was 38%. Rivers, A/ibom and Delta recorded over 70% each.
How many was accredited during presidential election, 90%, who complain, go sit ur ass at any waterside.okpo.

I really do want a real war to be faced by the militants and communities that host them. They will be fought to a standstill by US drones alone with thousands of collateral damage. The US is solidly behind Buhari FYI.

I don't know if you read world news at all. Even in reigions where mass genocide syria, libya, parkistan are the US is reluctant to get involved. Most of you don't even know obama's policy. Its to bring to a minimum USA interference with the world because war cost so much money. Even in ukrane USA has no presence. If the mitants are smart they can run to russia. Drop in national revenue which the 19 states awaits to share.I have a dream where PA will grow white hairs before 100 days in office and will drop in weight to less than 50kg..another political history is to be added to the existing one for the nxt 4yrs....

maimalari:
International election observers on Sunday called for the cancellation of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Rivers.

The leader of African Centre for Leadership Strategies and Development, Mr Humphrey Bekaren, who spoke on behalf of the observers, made the call in Port Harcourt.

He said the observers were shocked that INEC disregarded the widely reported violent irregularities to begin the process of declaring results in the state.

“We request all lovers of democracy to join us in calling for the outright cancellation of the phony election.

“Unless this is done, we would have sown the seed that could eventually grow into providing a shade of fear and death over us,” he said.

According to Bekaren, what happened in Rivers was a far cry from what election should be.

“What we saw did not meet international standard of electioneering, not even the ones set by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,’’ he said.

How much did Amaechi paid, I know he spend money without thinking when he want to do nonsense.
The funniest is that the international observer didn't tell INEC Amaechi was going from polling to another to intimidate voters.
They did not tell INEC either that Amaechi refused to conduct LGA elections and appointed care taker chairman for three consecutive time.
The international observers refused to know elections happened in Rivers rather they are blinded by RS money.
So what happened to the coverage by the media which showed election was free fair and credible except by those areas APC instigated the crisis.
It may interest some people to know APC started trouble in so many LGA trying to snatch ballot boxes like in Gokana and this happened in my very eyes.

It's quite unfortunate that most of the nairalanders posting comments here do not reside in rivers or were not here to see what we saw. The election held was a DEATH to democracy. If wike had won fairly and square there won't be calls for cancellation. We saw widespread irregularities, gun battle, bloodshed and in most cases no materials but results are been announced at those areas. If APC, APGA, SDP, LP etc had toed the line of PDP in other to win...by now the military would have taken over our dear state. Election violence is robbing us our democracy.

We have witnessed change in river state.the southwest should mind their biz and concentrate in their region.rivers people have decided and that is final.the apc seem to have forgotten their slogan CHANGE.pdp has accepted a change apc should be likewise.Jega understands the intricacies of election so all results are acceptable.if the change team cannot accept change then their slogan was only a deception to gullible Nigerians.our president demonstrated an example others should follow suit.God bless our beloved rivers as we voted out a corrupt And executive rascal.

Oga, don't quote me again if you have nothing meaningful to say. I presented facts for anyone to counter but you decided to spew rubbish.

Were you blind when incidences of violence in Rivers state was shown on TV or didn't you hear the various allegations leveled against the SIEC, PDP and security agencies in the state? Compare all these to the situation in Ogun, Oyo, Kano and other states where APC won. Guy, this is 2015, the whole world is watching us, we have to begin to get things right in this country and that is what I stand for. Yes, I supported APC in this election and that is because majority of their governors have performed better than the PDP in the various states they governed. However I will not hesitate to turn against them if they fail. I am performance oriented, not sentiments driven.

Like I said earlier, this is 2015, the world has gone beyond the era of mediocrity and sentimental politics. Electoral malpractices are being frowned at all over the world. Nigeria cannot afford to lag behind. Get that into your head.
