1: I'm currently working full time here in the states but I'm planning on dropping down to part time status, to allow me to focus more time on my graduate studies. I will still have the flexibility to work more hours as needed. Will this be of hindrance to the application relative to showing full time working status and being able to financially support him?

If your most recent tax document does not show that you meet the income requirements, you will need a joint sponsor.

2: My Fiance currently lives in another country where he is working. For the application, does his mailing address need to be a Nigerian address or can it be where he currently lives?

I came to US on fiance visa in 2012 and we got married here after a month of my arrival. Now I am a green card holder. In 2014, we planned to do civil service here in US with family and friends. I applied a visa for my family which is in India, to come over to join us for the civil service. But they denied for visitor visa. Then I applied for only for my dad (he is in govt. job in India for the last 35+ years with good finances), he was denied again. We had a baby in the end of 2014, and I applied travel visa for my mom to come over to meet the first grand child of our family. She was denied again. We both works in govt and private sector, making good salary. I don't understand what VO wants to see at the time of interview. Why they are keep denying visas. My family member only wants to come to see us here in US. If I talk about the ties of family to India, they VO don't even look at the supporting documents. I want to know what we are doing wrong. How should I apply again? Please help.

1. It depends who the relative is, whether the relative is a Legal Permanent Resident or a U.S. citizen, how old the beneficiary is, and whether the beneficiary is married.
2. and 3. It is more difficult, but not impossible, for someone with a pending immigrant petition to obtain a non-immigrant visa, because after all that person does clearly have immigrant intent. But if the person can convince the officer that he or she intends to use the non-immigrant visa properly, there's no reason why a visa wouldn't be issued. For instance, many people with pending immigrant petitions travel to the U.S. on student visas in the meantime.

But on I-130,they asked for only residential address. I'm afraid if I put only my residential address,I might lose some important mails from NVC and the consulate in future. Hmm... since it's a question of receiving mail, I'd vote for using your mailing address, and then explaining to the Consular officer at the time of your interview that you actually reside elsewhere but can't receive mail there. It'll make sense to us.

We use phone and e-mail to contact people whenever possible, for this very reason.

In this case, yes. We are not quite as strict with Ks (because technically they're non-immigrant visas) so scanned copies will be fine.

Please use the Lagos addresses. At this time IV doesn't use the Port Harcourt address, and your forms might get lost....

Right now the waiting time is around 12 years.

Someone will contact him and set up an appointment - or he can be proactive and e-mail us at LagosIV@state.gov. (We can't use Nairaland to schedule appointments for people.) It's too late to get him in tomorrow at this point, unfortunately.

To do the oath and fingerprints he'll need to resubmit the DS-260, also.

We're required to give the domestic abuse handout to all fiance(e)s and spouses. We're also required to make the handout on female genital mutilation available to all immigrant visa applicants. And, of course, there's the handout about the USCIS Legal Permanent Resident card fee, which applies to everyone except K visa applicants, IR2s under the age of 18, IR3s, and some special immigration categories. If anyone didn't receive them, here they are.

We give priority to spouses and children, fiance(e)s, and parents. The United States is one of the few countries that includes siblings among its immigration categories.

A quick question
For a single child of a visa lottery winner who is above 21 would it have been better to file I-130 when the parent was a LPR rather than US citizen.
I ask this because I want to know benefits if the relative files after getting US citizenship.
Does this reduce the waiting period?

NVC sent a mail to my address in Benin city. Edo state..though it was addressed about 2 months earlier than the day I received it.. ....good thing is that the same copy was sent via email to my wife about the time it was addressed..
All other correspondence has been through email ..with the my wife and I getting copies ...

I had my 1st visa interview in September 3rd 2014 and I was told by the interviewing Consular Officer that a decision can not be made on that day,that she needed time.Some days later I was given another appointment date,which came in and was handed a white paper stating that the CO wasn't convince that my marriage was bon fide and was told that our Petition will be sent back to USCIS.It's been 7 months now,the US consulate is yet to send back our petition.My wife and Myself have written the consulates on several occasions but we're giving different responses.and in some of the respond it's said that it will take between 90 to 120 days to return Our petition back,my question is:Why is our petition is still being held in the consulate when the decision had been taking over 7 months ago.There are some petitions that were denied after my interview but are now with NVC and USCIS.Please ma,i would really you to give us why is taken the consulate this to actually send the petition back,the fact we were denied is a serious psychological issue for us,Ma' this is my case number LGS2014573016.Thank you very much
