No one is dragging him to the state board. The Medical Board is a professional and ethical entity that regulates medical regulatory rules and procedures. There are protocols and no one is dragging him there: the online petition is a formal approach, a first protocol to get the attention of the board to investigate his actions. I am unfamiliar with their protocols on breach of professional code of conduct and behavior, but technically, if the online petition reaches a certain limit, they board may or not oblige their request. Most likely, they will. This is why I said this isn't a serious case because no advocacy group is involved. If there was one involved, this is NOT the story we will be telling today.

The man himself is denying it.

Yet to think that some tribal bigots were praising him for his comments.

I wonder why Nairaland is filled with so much hate

There is much love on NairaLand than hate if you ask me. You wanna know the meaning of hate? Pls visit Linda Ikeji's blog.

If this were a case in a court, i sure as hell would love to see how you can convince a judge he 'called for a genocide against Igbos'.

Here's what a call for genocide looks like:

Igbos should be slaughtered, Abuja natives should attack Igbos, Igbos should be eliminated etc.

He might have made nasty comments about your tribe but he sure as hell didn't call on ANYONE to slaughter them.
Another example of someone calling for xenophobic attacks is in that video of the South Aftican nutjob talking about how he killed Gambians.

Now tell me this, if you actually succeed in getting this guy fired (which is the worst you can do, and I'm sure that still wont happen) does that make anything between the tribes in Nigeria better? There are worst bigots whom wish harm towards your tribe right there in Nigeria but ofcourse since you cant touch them you decided hey why not bring down a random guy here in the US just to feel good about ourselves huh undecided

Anyway do whatever the hell you want, and good luck with destroying a random mans life.

P.S to the Yoruba's here, you guys are really not taking this seriously! This is an attack of revenge against one of yours. Its like these people are trying to take all their unwarranted anger and hate out on this guy just to get back at your whole tribe (and ive seen some igbos say exactly this on the deleted thread).

Bros, no need for long epistle...He did not directly call for the slaughter of Igbos but we can deduce that from his statement. Then again, he's in a country where his right as a citizen is governed by the first amendment. That's not for you and I to decide, that's for the courts to decide i.e. if it should go down that road.

I pitied the dude when the news first broke out, but his response isn't making the matter any better... Believe me, if this case was more serious than just NL, NO hospital wants to be involved in a messy situation like this. This is a blow to their image, and that's ground for termination. Litigate it wherever you want : IN ANY BUSINESS, reputation is NO.1 and anything that poses a threat to the that "Goodwill" will sure be removed immediately. Most companies have that included in on-boarding paperwork but then again, personally, I don't want him fired. I just want him to APOLOGIZE and move on.

I'm a pretty objective guy so I'm gonna admit that there are certain people who kinda get punished for saying things privately about other races e.g Police Officers, and that's because they hold guns and tend to be trigger happy when it comes to dealing with such people. So i kinda get what the fuss is about here, BUT the fact is this guy has been a doctor for like 25 years and if he didn't kill or harm any Igbos all those years so I'm pretty sure he's no danger to any of you.
But what really pisses me off is that this whole thing about calling his workplace and complaining about him is driven by sheer hatred and nothing else, admittedly by some of you its all about destroying him, then i ask myself why these people wanna destroy someone at a far away place from them for saying something which most of them have said similar about other tribes here.

And btw if what he said was a threat or call to harm anybody can you explain to me why your fellow Igbos are twisting his words and spreading it as this:

S-H-A-M-E-D!!!
RE: Igbos Must be Eliminated in Nigeria. - Dr Abraham Ariyo.
Call USA Govt, Texas Medical Board To Report Dr Ariyo's Genocide Messages NOW.

Is that what he said or is that what you people are claiming he said just to get attention to your obvious hate agenda?

You're not the victims here , your just as bigoted as this guy is and i hope someday you slip up and get in the same kind of trouble (although i doubt other tribes have this much hate to pick out a single MAN and target him for revenge or whatever the hell you hope to achieve)

Clap for yasef bro......Objective indeed

After going through this guys epistle, the striking thing is that he sounds exactly like FFK during his own era of madness.
I wonder how well educated people like this spend time spewing hate speeches that will warrant offering a rebuttal later. The fact that you supported Oba of Lagos when he called for the death of Igbos in the Lagoon shows that you are capable of saying worse.
All meaning people in the country, including Lagos APC party denied the Oba and his speech, yet you are still confirming that you supported him because you too are from a traditional whatever?
Even the ones we call illiterates, Gani Adams and his OPC team don't preach this kind of hatred and bile filled missives.

I have no doubt that this Dr. is an active bigot on Nairaland.
One advice to people, the Internet never forgets! Be careful what you write/upload, whether anonymous of with full profile.
I hope your career survives this shame you brought upon your head.

what nonsence, look him trying so hard to deny what was so glaring to all, from the little effort he made at denying what he wrote,it was clear that he said what he is accused of,he wants to be diplomatic about his apology becouse probably the hospital managements are intrested in this matter as it would affect their own image, and instead of coming out clean, accept his mistakes and apologise as a man,he is here talking rubish,,anyways am not suprised, judging from the tribe he comes from,,,na their way.

LordExecutioner:

Comparing apples to oranges in different boundaries. Slavery was forced free labour but that never happened in Lagos. Dr. Abraham's words were in context of the Oba's venom towards yibhoes and I believe as a prince and heir to another throne, he understood where he was coming from.

Also, people from different continents are named after those continents for a reason. That is to shower ownership. No amount of integration/desegregation/globalisation can change that. I'm post-modernist and I'm outlook is bigger than being PC. That gives me insight into what people say, hence I can see the truth in what Dr. Abraham said...unlike you with herd mentality and an outlook that is tied to possessing the possessions of others.

Hate, wickedness, fear, insecurity, and bile are what make Yibhoes tick. I guess that is why as a lion, it is my responsibility to always call them to order by roaring at them.

I ask again: do you want to be a lioness, or do you want to continue as a sheep?
To put it bluntly story story stoooryy, once upon a time, time time, you were the same person who tried to use the American response on the Japanese attack of Pearl Harbour when you attempted to call it as genocide with respect to Igbo genocide...You didn't notice it was apples & oranges then?

I go wary of you repeating the same rhetoric time & time again, it would appear that you do ultimately share the opinions of pro-segregation. I tire of whipping a dead horse and arguing with a break wall. But thank you, for confirming every assumption have accessed about you from these hours. You do have an irrational fear and hatred for Igbos, regardless of your Osu/Igbo girlfriend (I didn't know the Osu branding still happened, oh well you learn something new everyday). You do equate Igbos with wickedness. You believe that Igbos possess a hive mind. You'll follow your Yoruba brother to the ends of the Earth, simply because he's Yoruba, regardless of his morality, ethics or misguided beliefs. You will condone genocide as long as it benefits the Yoruba superiority and its advancement at the expense of another tribe, especially if said tribe is Igbo.

Finally, I weep for this lion, whose head has been brainwashed in the guise of misguided patriotism, maybe one day said lion will arise from its sheep trappings. For the third and final time, bye bye LordExecutioner, you appear a lost cause, whose mind has been saturated with hatred. Goodnight and good luck.
