Pieces of cardboard and paint? Maybe if Nigeria was asked to manufacture. Denel produces parts which are structurally important to the Airbus A400M. If those parts fail...the plane crashes. Fail...again! Go swim in your jealousy.

Jealously? Nope. Envy? Nope.

Nigeria manufactures airframe parts/electrical parts for Alpha jets and Mi-35 helicopters. Each country does its own thing, so why envy you, does South Africa build sophisticated stealth warships like Nigeria?

Your source is NO source, you just posted photos of body parts of aircraft, nothing to prove South Africa makes those parts in the photo. Your argument remains crippled until proved

Nope, you failed to prove those photos are actually Gripen jet parts. The source posted by the other Southie guy says electrical parts not airframes, how is that my problem? I am not the one doing research here, it's actually you South Africans making research and failing at it.....same way NO SINGLE SOUTH AFRICAN IS CAPABLE TO RESEARCH AND TELL US THE RANGE OF GRIPEN RADAR IN GROUND SEARCH MODE, fools cannot research into their own Soweto weapons, they are stylishly begging we Nigerians to do it for them.

By the way, pylon is not a major component of Gripen, it's just pieces of metal cut in shape and welded up.

Okay, you now advertise South African welding and cutting of small metal pieces as MAJOR AIRCRAFT PARTS MANUFACTURING.

Congrats, you have a welders shop

O really, in general you say!

Anyway cursing isn't going to change the fact that the South African designed Rooivalk is one of the best AH in the world.

BTW which french components excluding the engine and rotors do Denel use...with citations please

South-Africa did not design that Half-french Helicopter. An obsolete Helicopter with 30 years old dinosaur avionics nobody wants.

It states clearly that the Half-french is dependent on the French for it's systems, sub-systems and general components.

Nigeria built no sophisticated stealth war ship. Do not spew your lies here. China buit that 1st ship and sailed it to Nigeria. The 2nd stealth ship is almost fully built in China. Pics have been posted.

You said SA DOES NOT produce any major parts for Airbus and Gripen. Those pics i posted where a nice bloody nose for you. Enjoy.

Thus how could they be older Ukrainian hinds.

Why should I have a bloody nose because Denel welding shop joins small metal pieces together for tiny parts of an aircraft, what advanced electronic components are inside metal flat sheets welded by a welder? LOL.

Your source says NOTHING connecting those photos with Denel factory, it only says the same old general statements, Denel joins wires, cables, and cardboard sheets together for a small part of the Airbus AM400, so what? Kiddies project. LOL.

Did Denel manufacture Airbus engine components or cockpit electronic sensors? No.

Well BBC and Defenceweb says Nigeria is building 50% to 70% of the sophisticated P18N Stealth warship, first of such feat in Africa. Sure to get the ship to Nigeria partially built, the Chinese have to construct the hull, or else how does it sail on the ocean from China to Nigeria, you M0RON !!

Go quarrel with the sources about the 50% - 70% construction in Nigeria, your headache not mine..... I can see your nose bleeding from a head butt blow.

The ship was built by Chinese company and in effort to boast Nigerian economy, they only transfered 70% of the project to be done in Nigeria, yet by the Chinese.

All that is a lie, China is building the ship for you. Case closed!!!

We have far better places to use as a model. Nigeria is just a bush that produces nothing.

Nigeria convinced and poisoned the minds of other west African countries to refuse SA to become party to resolving crisis in Ivory Coast while she was just idling, doing nothing. Gbagbo regime was torn into pieces under the nose of those who fallaciously call themselves giants of Africa.

Again you are telling lies. So, you want to tell me that Nigeria is producing those parts to produce those parts illegally. I haven't seen Nigeria anywhere from countries that can maintain and even modify MI-35 or Alpha jets. South Africa is legally approved to work on the Russian machines and that's being both MI-24 and 35. Show me where Nigeria has ever been awarded contract to produce all those parts for Russian defence company? Nigeria does not have minerals to produce any of such parts.

NAF has 6 delivered, and another 6 to be delivered.

The Rooivalk avionics are 30 years behind what any other AH carries. The Rooivalk is obsolete, this is a generally accepted fact!

Your Half-french AH and the MI-35 both attacked their targets concurrently.

Yes, it is the older MI-35p. All new models feature fixed landing gear, FLIR and Forward looking infrared and a co-axial chin mounted 20mm.

Source please.

With empty heads like you in the SAAF, I'm not suprised SAAF is stuck with 9 pilots for 26 Gripens after 16 years.

You just cannot think!!

You are the one who is stuck at the outdated news
Over the past years SAAF has been training pilots and have been introduced to gripen platform ever since. We have many pilots, black tire.

http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3594&Itemid=350

Only 29 of 60 Combat pilots posts were vacant as in 2009.

Remember, all of those were from the cheetahs platform with some over 29 having resigned then.

From 31 combat pilots we had only 9 pilots(instructors) who were qualified on a gripen platform as in 2010 after they were trained in Sweden and 13 for Hawks. That was. before gripen and hawks were introduced in South Africa. However, that number has been increasing ever since because new pilots were introduced with some not yet accumulated enough hours. The fact remains, they all were introduced to the new platform. Jezzzz!!!

DSA was responsible for the JAS39C/D Gripen MLGUs,
rear fuselages and Nato-standard pylons, and DAe
continues to produce these parts of the aircraft. To
date, the South African company has shipped more
than 100 MLGUs, more than 100 rear fuselages and
more than 70 shipsets of pylons (each shipset
comprising five pylons) to Saab in Sweden.

Reports are that virtually all public and private institutions have shut down in the face of shortage of fuel to maintain normal businesses in Nigeria.

This development means that almost all other states of the federation are currently in total darkness, as the 15MW is a privileged preference given to Abuja as the nation's capital.

Last Thursday, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Power, Ambassador Godknows Igali disclosed that power generation nationwide had dropped from 4,800MW to 1,327MW, leading to massive load shedding across the country.

Following that development, the management of AEDC issued text messages apologising to its customers in the FCT, Kogi, Nasarawa and Niger states.

Power allocation to the company from the national grid gradually dropped from about 450MW daily to less than 200MW in recent times.

By Friday May 22, 2015, allocation to the company was 145MW, which reduced to 115.6MW on Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24, 2015, respectively.

But yesterday's system collapse of Shiroro power plant has now reduced it to a meagre 15MW, it was learnt.

Officials of the Nigerian Army on Monday took over the Ojodu Berger outlet of Capital Oil, buying petroleum products in drums, after scaring away thousands of consumers.

The armed personnel came in the guise of maintaining peace and order, but they soon abandoned their primary responsibility for fuel racket. They shoved, maltreated and sent away those who were on queue to be attended to, thereby gaining access to have their drums loaded with fuel.

As of press time, the unregistered white Isuzu truck they use for the ‘deal’ had visited the filling station for the fourth time.

The fourth truck was being loaded as of 8:50pm.

The vehicle, on each visit, left with at least 14 drums and dozens of gallons filled with fuel.

The helpless consumers, some of who slept at the filling station, suspected the soldiers were feeding the growing Lagos black market with the product.

The military officials who were fully dressed had taken over the only two pumps that dispensed the Premium Motor Spirit.

Those who protested the act were beaten and given scares on their bodies.

Meanwhile, consumers, who had spent the entire Monday at the filling station without getting the product to buy, had described the announcement by Ifeanyi Uba as a publicity stunt.

By 9pm on Monday, not more than a hundred cars left the station with fuel.

Besides the military, officials of the Nigeria Police Force and black market dealers took over the show while thousands of motorists who had crowded the place since 5am were abandoned.

Lmao....how is an A400M going to fly without the massive structure which connects the wings to the fuselage? How is Gripen going to fly without a rear fuselage? Just like how i demolished you in the dense air argument (you still havent told us why airliners are pressurized coward)....i will demolish you now.

A bridge can be built with a safety factor of over 5. Since weight is not a crucial factor. Aircraft cant. They have safety factors of 1.3/1.4/1.5 etc. Meaning parts have to be precision engineered, using high tech equipment. You think its a simple welding job in someon's back garden? You simple f00l. Airbus did not cancel our work package when the SAAF cancelled it's order of A400M's because they could see for themselves how high the quality of work is.

The article about Nigeria building 70% of a stealth warship came before the 1st ship was even built. China lied to you...simple. Deal with it. The 1st OPV arrived fully built. Pics have been seen of the 2nd one, in China, almost fully built. Entire superstructure is closed. Communication tower is up. That is a complete ship. Nigeria is building 70% of nothing.

The Chinese lied to some clueless Nigerian official just to get that contract.

According to your own source, South Africa is manufacturing tiny battery to light up the screen lights for display of data, like the screen of a lap top computer, battery for the light/power for viewing displays on the monitor. LOL

"The agreement will see Avitronics develop and manufacture a new power unit for the Gripen's display system supplied by Ericsson Saab Avionics. "

South Africa is making some tiny batteries, like the ones that power up Nokia phone screen for us to see the text messages we are typing. LOL.

Congrats on your tiny battery. LOL.

How does that become a major component to make the Gripen a Half South African product?

Even Italy that makes the radar is not claiming part-ownership of Gripen.
