Let me give some lessons on commonsense,
1.The gov embark on various projects during time of high oil price, based on the the fact that the state could afford the projects and at the same time pay its workers,
2. but the sudden drop in oil price has severely affected the state ability to pay its workers, fact
3. Many states cannot pay their workers
4. Those paying their workers either have huge monthly allocations or have grown their internally generated revenue, fact
5. In my statement, I stated explicitly that the buck falls on the gos table, fact
6. In my statement, I indicated the judge was wrong to accuse the state government of mismanagement when in fact control of oil price is beyond the govs TOR, fact
7. Your resort to emotional shoutings and answering points that were never raised only shows how party affiliations is your driving comments and thinking, fact.
I got know time for your sneaky arguement. FACT
[/s]

Keep your crappy commonsense lesson to yourself and stop giving excuse for aregbe's failure...Yeye dey smell

Let's call spade a spade. He messed up. He saw this coming and he would have nipped it in the bud after one or two months.

His statement that without federal allocation he can't pay salary is irresponsible.

Drop in oil has affected everybody not aregbesola alone so why is he complaining. What about states who are not owing.

He has a lot of misplaced priorities and we all know it. He should work more on generating revenue for the state and all governors should do this because oil is crashing very fast

Is it only Osun that is owing workers?
Why are you people so deceitful?
Oil is crashing fast? Sorry do you live with me on planet earth? oil has started rebounding! and yes my statement clearly indicated that the buck falls on his table, but pretending that you state govs can survive without federal allocations is being callously irresponsible don't you think?

The State of the living spring! What could have happened to the springs, are there no more life in them? The brighter morning star will catch attention of many. Osun State situation needs urgent attention.

Time for all to wake up unto reality. We have to exercise our brains and develop with what we have. Time to shift minds away from SS oil and manage all things on the available resources within the STATES. Who knows if scientists are working to reduce value of oil more than its present price?

OSUN GDP is not upto 20% of ONITSHA SOUTH LOCAL GOVT. Infact, few individuals can payoff osun workers 11 months salary.

So if there is no oil flowing, the nation Nigeria is on a stand still. I weep for my country.

DIVERSIFY THE COUNTRY NOW.

EXPLOIT OTHER NATURAL RESOURCES AND GIVE THE HOST STATE'S 13%

WISE GOVERNORS WOULD AV INDUSTRALIZED THEIR STATES WHEN OIL MONEY WAS COMING IN

grin grin the same way Jonathan resigned honorably? Lol question: do taniods know wat honour is?

Anyways, while ultimately the buck falls on ogbenis table, the judge should know the fall of oil prices remains the chief reason osun can np longer meet its obligation not the accumulation of debts.
the oil na him own? I thought osun can survive without south south oil. Don't spend more than u earn.

Why does Osun state appear to be the only state making so much noise about this crises when there are over 20 states caught up in the mess? Aregbesola owes 7 some states owe 6 and others 5, yet we hardly hear a word from them.

I think this is beyond mere salaries. Someone somewhere is pulling these strings.

Pulling which string? Why are people so insensitive? The man is owing, short and simple!

The fact that other states are owing doesn't mean that the 'cry' in osun state is politically motivated! It depends on the consciousness and the refusal of the people to accept the status quo and nonsense excuses the governor is giving?

Will they feed their children with excuses?
Put yourself in their shoes and forget about party affiliation for a while.

Why is it dat wen u criticize APC for any their ills, they immediately tag u a Tanoid. They can't tolerate criticism at all but dey were d ones dishing it out most. I'm beginning to think dat if they had come into power earlier than dis d would hav denied us Freedom of Information hence d reason why they haven't domesticated it in their respective domains. From d look of things, APC will only last 4 years in power. It seems dey enjoy playing opposition more than ruling. Since opposition politics doesn't come wit responsiblity.

Yes don't spend more than you earn, a lesson Jonathan never for one day practice which made him resort to borrrowing to pay salaries, Osun would come out of this stronger, the governor must have thought all things being equal, the oil price would have plunge this low, but that is why the buck falls on his table, he should scale back projects and prioritse workers salary. But offcourse not only Osun is owing workers but a host of state who never make it to news.

I don't think Osun PDP is taking advantage of what's happening in Osun. They should've been sharing food stuffs now in all the local government areas in Osun on a monthly basis.

I bet you this will seal APC's fate (failure) by 2018 elections in Osun.

we already know how pdp always lure ppl with their food & money sharing grin

The opportunity can start from now.

My friend your argument is faulty!
Are you more privy to the happenings of the state than the judge?

The fact that you make this argument shows ur insensitivity!
If you were among the workers being owed, you will not come here to brandish your one sided opinion because of party affiliation!

If other states are owing and so what? Does it mean the workers should keep suffering because its happening in other states?

Why would the governor embark on projects that wouldn't generate incomes for the state?

He still collects his salary, his security vote, was busy pouring money into pmb's campaign while workers are suffering! That's inhuman!

By the time a governor is impeached for non- payment of salaries, other states and governors will wake up!

Jonathan is Ex-President...take it or leave it. Aregbesola is the Current Governor...take it or leave it. Let him look for money and pay up. Who was signing off Irrevocable Payment Orders? When he was told to appoint Commissioners who could have advised him, he refused. I am seeing same thing happening to PMB.

May God bless and help the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

CHILDREN: (They all chorused) Lamido Sanusi
TEACHER: Correct! Who is the Minister of Defence?
CHILDREN: Asari Dokubo!
TEACHER: Who is the governor of OSUN State?
CHILDREN: Jimi Agbaje
TEACHER: Good! What is the capital city of Nigeria?
CHILDREN: Enugu
TEACHER: Very good! Who composed the National Anthem?
CHILDREN: D-Banj and 2Face
TEACHER: What do you call people from Moscow?
CHILDREN: Mosquitoes!
TEACHER: Perfect! How much is 2+5?
CHILDREN: 25!
TEACHER: That's great! You're going to remain like this until Aregbesola pays my salary!!

This why he might be impeached which I doubt they will

Rauf Aregbeshola embarked on too many infrastructural projects. In the educational sector, for example, he built new blocks of classrooms and assembly halls when he could have ordinarilly renovated the existing ones. This was the complaint I got from some teachers some years ago in Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife during the WAEC marking exercise.

Osu a dara.
I can authoritatively tell you that this rascal demolished a block of classroom built by his immediate predecessor, Oyinlola, just to spite him. Now he's broke I'm not surprised.

For the fact that he and his deputy still enjoyed their own allowance. I think the EFCC and other crime commissions should come in. And they should impeach him as early as possible. Cos if he continue , he won't pay d salary for a 2 yrs or more. So I thimks that's the best tin to do, he should be probed and be impeached. APC leaders are corrupt pple.

Yep. Political science tells us that people get the leadership they deserve. Our people are usually influenced by irrelevant sentiments when they vote. We suffer almost similar fate in Lagos State where, after 16 years of very corrupt APC leadership, you can hardly find any decent road to drive on; any little rain shuts the city down because there is no decent drainage. And come election time, irrelevant sentiments ensure that the corrupt incompetent goons still win.

In my opinion I think aregbe has tried for his state (osun).

The projects he did were projects he thought were good things for the state but the reduced allocation from the federal broke many state governments back.

Nevertheless aregbe like other yoruba governors failed to free themselves from oil money, the oil that is not from our region. They failed to go into agriculture massively.

Chief awolowo did his projects from money not from oil but money from agriculture. But the present crop of leaders of today are too clueless and too unserious to do the correct thing.

It is a pity you seem to lack comprehension skills, coz I clearly indicated the governor is ultimately responsible, your poorly thought-out arguments bore me!
