@babymama11 & proudy, Na so e dey do all of us oo, my own too was like my lower belly was trying to divorce the upper part.I had to go to the hospital where I was physically examined for dilation & I was zero % dilated before leaving..  Na back to my intermittent face squeezing. 1 Like |

helo mothers. gud day ve anyone experince severe back pain during a pregnancy am just six weeks pregnant and i ve severe back pain. i cant walk and i cant move at all. i did cs in my previous pregnancy and i ve nt witness any back pain for 20mnth. ve bn on admission for two days and doc cnt tell me d course pls is a sign of miscarry. pls i need urgent response sorry for d errors. |

@proudy, Amin, just daydreaming about d day. @maebem, Can I come & babysit?, love twins.  Things to take. 1.Baby clothes x 2 2.Towels for yourself & babies 3.Hot water flask 4.Wrappers (2 or 3) 5.Infant formula(incase of slow establishment) 6.Diapers,bibs,feeding cups/bottles 7.Phone charger... All the best. @zainyrazzy, Kindly relax. 1.Go to a better hospital so the cause of the pain could be established, if you were talking about abdominal cramps, its understandable. 2. 6wks is too early to have severe back pain, baby at that GA is slighlty bigger than walnut so there should be no weight to pull your back muscle, I have major back pain with my post cs belle but I'm due this month. 3 Likes |

zainyrazzy: Hi, sorry about the pain Many mothers also complain about this severe back pain esp around the 5th week. It goes away by the 16th week. It is caused by the stretching of ligaments by pregnancy hormones. The intensity is increased by any of these factors: - if you have a toddler you are running after now, bending to talk to or lifting. - if you had back pain before pregnancy. - if you have osteoporisis or arthtritis or have the tendency to still develop or inherit it. - your posture. Do you sit, sleep, stand and walk right? - stress. Stress can seriously increase any pregnancy symptom. You can get relief by: - destressing. - applying heat pads or ice packs. - massages. - use of mild pain relievers( with your doctor's approval of course) -Adjusting your posture. Deezou:I can't authoritatively say it is safe, However I used Erythromycin given to me by my Dr in treating an repentant cough I had while I was 3-4 weeks pregnant, I didn't know I was pregnant else I wouldn't use cos I am aware its a very strong antibiotics.....BTW I'm 23 weeks gone and my Gold is doing very fine...... |

Hello mamas in the house..I have a Q o..I don't want to run to the hospital like dh suggests before dey begin to bill me like dey do..deres dus lower pelvic pain I began to experience dense few days..it comes and goes..it feels as dou a nerve is hooking me..I find it hard to stand straight..but wen I sit its not dere..most time it comes wen I try to go from a sitting to standing position..is it something I should be worried about mamas   ..I'm scared |

Hello to all the pushing mamas in the house, I can now tell my birth story now...ehwww, it hasn't been easy o,vigilante things and postpartum recovery. Here goes my birth story, I went to the hospital on Monday for my schedule induction, I was to get to the hospital by 8pm and induction is suppose to start by 4am on Tuesday. Around 3.45am I saw bloody show, and contractions but the doctor still inserted induction gel around 4.15am, contractions started steadily every 10minutes and around 9am, I was checked and I was 4cm dilated. Contractions kept coming stronger and closer together but around 4pm, I was having contractions at 4minutes apart and they were not getting closer and I was just 5cm dilated . So the doctor said I had labored for 12hours and he can't take chances for me to continue, so he would have to do an emergency cs. So he put a call through to the anesthesiologist that was when wahala started o, the anesthesiologist was stuck in traffic o, he was very close by but lagos being lagos, rain started and there was traffic gridlock. A 15minute journey turned to 3hours journey and I kept having contractions and I was just 6cm dilated at 7.30pm. The Anesthesiologist arrived around 7.45pm and I was taken to the theater weak, tired, restless. The Anesthesiologist started apply the spinal epidural, he did the first one, it didn't work, the second one, still didn't work and I was having contractions in between and I had to sit steadily, it was the third one that now worked and the procedure started. My baby was brought out at 8.25 thereabouts and I was taken out around 9pm. Since then o, my neck has been stiff, I was told it's a side effect of the anesthesia but it is getting better. And my darling son has not allowed me sleep at night, he stays awake all through the night to breastfeed but I am getting used to it sha. God will grant other pushing mamas safe delivery. 7 Likes |
