So you are happy with that level of government stealing because it's in the past abi? If that money had been invested properly in the Nigerian economy maybe your country will be like Dubai by now. But it seems some Nigerians just prefer to keep on suffering sha.
see your mouth like Dubai, u don't even know what you are saying, neither do you know how oil is being stole.
neither do you know that the stealing is still going on as we speak

I want to agree with you, but . . .

Youtube or google 'oil bunkering in Nigeria" . . . and that's just less than half of what really goes down.

Are you tell me that these bunkerers actually drill their own wells and set up their own processing facilities? While I am not an expert on bunkering, I strongly disagree with the suggestion that 1 million barrels of oil is stolen every day in Nigeria.
Note that I am not trying to justify crude oil bunkering.

The rate at which Buhari brandishes these figures is shocking?

$150billion dollars missing
1 million barrels/day stolen.

The man had better provide concrete evidence for these wild and ludicrous claims. We are not fools who believe everything without verification.

no they stole together with the condensate and impurities, hahaha hahaha, but You know we have illegal refineries in Nigeria
If they steal directly from the wells then how do they transport this stolen oil? I am aware that we have illegal refineries in Nigeria. I have never said that oil is not stolen in Nigeria. What I am saying is that I do not believe the figures being stated (1 million bpd).

Honestly. Now think about the theft of crude from 1970 till 1999; 1 million barrels per day at $30 per barrel.

crude oil losses are from bunkering and vandalism, it has little or nothing to do with minsters. bunkering is ran by oil cartels, even as we speak crude will be stolen tonight.

it is either he is wrongly informed, or he just wants to score political points

Haven't you heard of crude oil tanker disappearing on the high sea, even in the presence of the Nigerian Navy.

Add that to lots of crude oil proceeds not remitted to the government after sales.

Re: Jonathan Ministers Sold One Million Barrels Of Oil Per Day- Buhari by 989900: 3:05pm On Jul 22, 2015
According to President Goodluck Jonathan, 300,000-400,000 barrels of oil per day, or more than 10% of all Nigeria's production, is being lost at a cost to the state and oil companies of around £1bn a month – more than is spent on education and the health of the nation's 168 million people. Not only is Nigerian oil theft helping to keep the world price of oil high, it is causing corruption and social disorder, says the president.

"The figures are huge. [Oil theft]could destabilise Nigeria. The business is worth billions of dollars a year. It is on an industrial scale, and involves commodity traders, international [criminals] and a whole network of people. There are some allegations that the oil companies themselves are implicated," says presidential aide Ken Saro-Wiwa, whose father, along with other Ogoni chiefs, was executed in 1995 after a peaceful protest against Shell.

The scale of the "bunkering" has shocked observers. Thirty centimetre pipelines able to transport thousands of barrels of oil a day have been found leading straight from pipelines into the swamps. The Nigerian navy had to sack two admirals for their role in the disappearance of a tanker that had been seized for transporting 11,000 tonnes of stolen crude.

"A lot of big-time stealing goes on. You know the oil you are offered is stolen," says one oil trader in Port Harcourt who asks to remain anonymous. "They give it to you without documents at a cheaper rate. I was offered 50,000 litres today for 55 naira (20p) a litre. But 75 nairais the cheapest you can get it from the government. You know it's a racket. There is no chance of getting caught because there is no system to catch people. Big business is big politics."

According to SDN, a medium-sized illegal refinery costs around £3,000 to set up but can earn that back in a few weeks. But the operators need to pay hefty bribes to the police and military, as well as to buy oil tapped off the 1,600km of pipelines that cross the delta. Each tapping point, says SDN, can earn more than £500,000 a month but its investors must pay armed guards, the military, contractors, local communities and even oil company staff.

Delta communities freely admit their role in the theft of oil but blame continuing poverty and pollution for their actions. "The government and oil companies are collecting our oil and we don't have jobs, or money so we have to collect the oil and refine our own," says a man in the village of Bolo near where an illegal refinery was set up five years ago.

Bolo leaders admit that the military was paid off. "When the refinery was working it used to refine around 10,000 litres of oil a day. It could only operate with the help of the police and military, The pay-off system to the armed forces and police was well organised. It was a plum posting for the military here. Most army have a lifestyle that you cannot explain," says Mela Oforibika, a lawyer and chief of the Bolo community.

Now I can confidently conclude that this dullard of a cattle herder is completely ins.ane. I fact he is as stew.pid as his cow.

What? 1 million barrels stolen every day? Haba, enough of these lies and propaganda just to paint someone dirty. The last time I check The s1lly Tinubu and oshi.omoole asserted that it was 400,000 barrels daily, now it's 1 million barrels.

Posterity will not judge Buhari well, and as a matter of fact, Nigeria will succeed but Buhari will fail in all his sinister schemes. Mark my word.

1 million barrels! Wow.

In another news this afternoon, the Nigerian Navy says that they have reduced stolen crude oil from 2.4 million barrels per month to 300,000 barrels per month.

Going by all these contradictory figures, it is evident that Buhari has learnt how to use lies and propaganda to deceive Nigerians who always want to hear such info.

By navy's figure, average stolen crude should be 80,000 barrels per day (@2.4 million/month) and that is if their unsubstantiated propagandist figures are anything to go by.

How did Buhari arrive at 1 million barrels per day?

Nigeria needs help really.

Are you suggestion with you post that all the bunkering and thefts in the Niger Delta were organised by Jonathan's ministers?

Re: Jonathan Ministers Sold One Million Barrels Of Oil Per Day- Buhari by Ladysmith1: 3:08pm On Jul 22, 2015
Does Buhari know how much oil is produced in Nigeria per day? And he is claiming that some ministers sold 1 million barrels per day!!! Nigeria at the moment is producing at the rate of about 2.3million barrels per day. The numbers are far too exaggerated. Buhari should stop making ludicrous claims to cover up his cluelessness. He needs to start with the change already and stop all these wild claims... Sai Baba, abeg start work!!!
