Was it a visit visa?
Did you do it yourself or you used an agent?

Oh well.
Maybe your bank account couldn't be verified, your cash flow wasn't convincing or your current balance was low...
Just my guess tho.

You can try WITS cos you have a strong chance of being selected since you have a 2.1 and good SAQA rating. Besides, WITS is one of SA's best schools in terms of academic standard and are not too rigid in decision making.
I am currently running my masters programme here and the experience so far has been great. All the best

there is nothing like a good saqa rating.... they just rate according to the national qualifications framework... example bsc is rated 7, hons 8, masters 9 then phd is the highest 10.

Hello House,

I am a graduate of Electrical/Electronic Engineering. I recently had my Certificates evaluated by SAQA and got an NQF Level 8. I graduated with a Second Class Upper degree, a good one at that.
I tried applying for a Masters by Research degree at the University of Pretoria,to my utmost surprise I was asked by the Admissions officer of the department of Electrical Engrg, UP to enrol for their Honours program and that I wasn't qualified to be admitted for Masters directly.
I was so surprised and furious, and sent her a mail telling her of my grades and SAQA evaluation but she reaffirmed that UP can only admit me for Honours.

It's really annoying! I can't imagine myself enrolling for a South African Honours degree after spending 5 solid years to get my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Nigeria.

Please guys I need suggestions on reputable schools in SA where I can do a Research Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Thanks in anticipation.

schools like up and stellenbosch do not care what saqa says, I suggest u look for other schools like wits for example. because it will be a waste of money and time to do honours again, when you already have it. With your bachelors degree honours in engineering, you are already at the same level with a south african honours degree....*From experience*

5) Letter of Invitation

hi to all the gurus in the house,

I want to submit my application form to the university of KwaZulu Natal. However, it is imperative that I pay a non refundable fee of R470 to the school account.

please for those who have paid application fees to schools in South Africa from Nigeria, how did you go about it? its urgent please

P.S I don't know anyone in South Africa and I will love to do the transaction by myself here in Nigeria.

Different methods of doing the transaction will be appreciated.

Thanks so much for a quick and favorable response.

I will advise you to look for someone in SA to pay into the school acct for u and credit their naira acct with the equivalent amount cos i did same during my application process. The reason being that the amount in question is too small to incur transfer charges should you decide to send it from Naija. If u don't mind, i can assist you in paying into the acct here in SA. All the best

@yinkasob002,

I will really appreciate if you can help me.
Just need clarification on somethings.
When payment is made, how do I get an invoice of the payment since its compulsory I send the application with the application fee.

Actually, the application is going to SA from my alma mata due to the fact that they will be attaching my transcript and we all know that transcripts are confidential.

Please clarify me sire
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by yinksob002: 6:49am On Aug 02, 2015
When i did mine, someone in SA paid on my behalf and i forwarded a scanned copy to the international fee office and subsequently followed up with a phone call to confirm receipt. Thereafter, it was updated to my application on the portal.
Hence, you can attach a copy of the teller to your application and i am sure it will suffice. Note that the payment will be referenced with your student number which the school can link to your application and update their records accordingly.

Its not mandatory that you send your application fee together with your transcript. All they need is for you to make payment and provide evidence of such.
