Perhaps its one of the miracles of Gej's ouster. People who were nonchalant and lukewarm to their duties because the system then allowed and even encouraged it decided to respond to the change mantra. All the necessary materials needed for performance had always been available.

Nice summary. I like your signature but could have been better if "wanted" reads "made". grin

The Nigerian people stop the cretin in the process.

If they have given him another 4 years, the country would be worse than Somalia.

That is just another failure on his CV, which is full of failures.

Don't you feel a refeshing air of fresh air not to have heard that his hippo wife say anything since April.

They just wanted to humiliate Nigeria by letting that foool speak.

This's the main problem I had with GEJ. He set up the structure and then allowed people to sabotage his government. He was too calm to govern Nigeria. GEJ as president of this country was like a sheep leading wolves and foxes.

We all know who controls the Ikeja and Eko power distribution companies and from what happened, they increased tarrif by 3 folds and then supplied power only 20 - 30 hours per month so that one can be frustrated to vote out GEJ. Immediately Buhari got in, they increased power supply and decreased the tarrif from what used to be 15k per month to 5k per month.

This is a big lesson to all Nigerians, especially those from minority tribes, tow the path of OBJ (which is what I think the present administration wants to do) if you want to rule Nigeria for 8 years and probably with an extension, if you can alter the constitution. This means, you don't give your opposition a breathing space, snuff the lives out of them by using security officials to hunt all of them down, shield your own party members/loyalists from the security officials but hunt the ones who go against your wish, only then can you rule Nigeria effectively even if you achieve little or nothing..
I prefer the soft approach used by GEJ because you end up with far fewer enemies and you still get a lot accomplished. While the OBJ approach ends up with you accomplishing far less and picking up a truckload of sworn enemies along the way. Look at the OBJ years and finger out one milestone that was accomplished by him aside the GSM multinational occupation and compare it with the home grown TAM miracle or the NERC deregulation and you will spot the difference. While the GSM MNC's put us in the pockets of foreigners, the power deregulation put power into the hands of Nigerians. The truth is that with time it will get better considering the power issue. It doesn't matter what happened at the tail end of GEJ's tenure, his name has been written in gold and no one can change that . The real fact is that it is easy to rule with guns and bombs than to rule with just a pen

Why create thread to seek answers where truth is hidden and the ones who knows the truth are afraid to speak.

Political gas vandalism has stopped, GEJ handed over 7,800 MW ready to deliver generation plants while we have 12,000MW total but some are limited by transmission infrastructures and gas supply pipelines.

President. Buhari should just focus on transmission infrastructures, gas pipelines and a framework where gas companies balance between capitalism and nationalism.

Thanks for this.
Replies like this is the reason the thread was created.

I love saying the truth no matter what. GEJ wasn't cut out for the seat as Nigerian president but nothing takes away the fact that I prefer him over hundreds of Buhari.
Listen to yourself again! You prefer a known failure to someone who is known for discipline and uprightness. Well, thank God most Nigerians think differently.

Thanks for your post. I did appreciate if you extend your crusade to your friends who love attributing every single deed to Buhari. There are loads of threads referencing improved power supply during GEJ era, that alone nullifies most points you raised here.

Thanks . . . .

Oh, they are sure responding to all the unwarranted hate your friends display here to a man whose only crime is attempting to clear the mess GEJ and his men created. Anybody that still argues this last government was not enmeshed in a cesspool of corruption has a whole lot of spiritual cleansing to do. Was God that came to the rescue of Nigerians on March 28th. May it never happen again.

It is normal for power generation to improve during rainy season. The water level in the dam is high resulting in higher power output.

enjoy it while it lasts, the party won't be long grin
hellooo! In the past, even when there was plenty rainfall, the consistency of the power supply then is nothing compared to what we have now.

Everything was in order under GEJ.
But his minions made sure those things didn't work to create avenues for allocations which they subsequently.embezzled.

Do you now see how daft and confused been a zombie for a dull deity can make one be. Those issues I mentioned were familiar challenges GEJ faced, and he did his best to address them. Notably among them is power supply.

The increase in generation as a result of recent improvements in gas supplies at Egbin Power plant is responsible for the huge improvement witnessed in Lagos State and its environs. The power plant a few months ago, was generating below 500 megawatts (Mw) but currently it generates over 1050Mw.

[s]The reason for the improved supply in recent months is quite obvious for those who truly seek answers.[/s]

What I know is that in the last 1 month, I haven't poured petrol inside that generator. Pls do I need to warm the generator like my car to avoid sludge. That is the question bothering my mind now, not that of blackout. Lol...

You are neither here nor there . . .All I see is one futilely trying to justify a pertinent question I asked one of the foolish hordes of people who shout "change" while exuding the most virulent form of willful ignorance.

Why ascribe something to Buhari when it is obvious the man knows absolute zilch of happenings around him. . . . . .

I do understand your point about using certain means to achieve effectiveness, but I completely disagree that it was the opposition working against GEJ on electricity shortages, infact, on most issues. It was GEJ's own people being corrupt, and GEJ not doing anything about it. This was my problem with GEJ and that's one of the reasons I completely rejected his government even if it were benefitting my own people. What happened to firing Disloyal people? This was a question of ineffectiveness, you cannot achieve anything in a "porous" society when you cannot curtail peoples' excesses.

Quite often, we're told about mysterious "gas pipeline vandals" when the actual truth was the gas suppliers were channeling their gas to black market sales for personal gain, and NNPC officials and Denziani were smiling to the bank, how could a president not know this? His own people were in charge of NNPC, sabotaging the whole country, it's either cluelessness or complacency that can explain his silence on all these problems during his regime.
